How Ralph Dibny’s Future Could Change in Flash 7

How Ralph Dibny’s Future Change Flash 7:

With the return of The Flash on CW with its 7th season, a huge doubt shadows over the future of Ralph Dibny aka The Elongated Man. The character joined the Team Flash in Season 4 and has been like a sidekick to The Flash ever since. However, Hartley Sawyer who plays Ralph Dibny has been fired from the show after his racist and chauvinist comments emerged over the internet. Even though the actor has exited, the future of his character, The Elongated Man remains a huge mystery. He was an integral part of the team and cutting his chords would need an explanation in the story.

Eric Wallace who is the showrunner has indicated that a Sawyer could be replaced by a new actor. This will obviously prevent the fan-favorite character from completely being chucked out of the DC show. It won’t be a difficult task for a character whose superpowers also include shape-shifting. Another speculation states that the show will gradually phase out the character after the 1st episode of season 7.

How Ralph Dibny’s Future Change Flash 7

The Flash has a history of reviving its characters over and over again. Since the beginning, the key members of The Flash have stayed intact. With the existence of the multiverse and time travel, the primary characters always reemerge. Harrison Wells is the biggest example and his return from various Earths has become very predictable. Hence, it is unlikely that The Elongated Man will be gone for good. He will be taken out of the story, for the time being, leaving the door open for his return.

Season 6 ended with Sue Dearbon being wrongfully convicted for the murder of Joseph Carverat the hands of Eva McCulloch. Team Flash knows of Sue’s innocence and could be finding ways of defending her and also protecting her from the cops. Season 7 will be partly working on this case, along with other challenges. But the show could also use it as a leverage to explain Ralph’s absence. Some fan sites suggest that Ralph could help Sue in hiding until the showrunners decide on his fate. Ralph can also venture new opportunities outside Central City as The Elongated Man. This way he can join the team during a big crisis and get back in his new world.

This won’t be the first time that a superhero left the show and appeared as a guest star when needed. Wally aka Kid Flash and Iris’ brother was an important part of the show until actor Keiynan Lonsdale stepped away to explore more opportunities.

Wallace has also shared that they will recast the character only to wrap up his story with dignity. He also added that Ralph will return for a short period to solve the mystery of Sue Dearbon.

“It’s funny, I guess technically it would be a recasting, but the character won’t be a big part of season seven. He’ll only be a part of just wrapping up the Sue storyline,” Wallace continued. “Yes, one could say it is a recasting, but we’re going to do it in a way that I think honors the spirit of the character and provides not only a satisfying conclusion to Sue’s murder mystery but also it’s done with some humor.”

Ralph and Sue got married in the comics, so the series could use the same story to take the characters out of the picture. Once Sue’s name gets cleared, she and Ralph could move to another place for a fresh beginning. This way, Ralph stays a part of the show without being a consistent member. Wallace has said that regardless of the actor, Elongated Man can always return to the show.  He concluded by saying that,

“The beauty of comic book stories and superhero stories are the conventions that heroes come and go, but they never fade away and they never disappear entirely.”

It’s Official: Arrow Confirms Diggle is Green Lantern

Arrow Confirms Diggle is Green Lantern:

The debate had been raging on for more than half a decade. Is John Diggle from Arrow going to become a Green Lantern? The Arrow showrunners never gave us any hints regarding that topic. All the fans could do was just speculating everything. Now that Arrow as we know it is over, The CW is starting to turn back some chapters to answer some questions that were left unanswered. One of the most endearing questions of them all was John Diggle and his Green Lantern Connection. Believe it or not, the actor himself has given us a solid hint and we are now sure that we know the answer to that question.

David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle aka Spartan on the show, recently took to social media to give us this ground shattering news. It was on Instagram that David Ramsey showed us a picture of the Green Lantern Ring, confirming his new superhero career as an Inter-Galactic Enforcer who now wields the Universe’s Most Powerful Weapon that draws power from the wielder’s will power.

The caption of the post reads “My Power”. The photo was posted on Instagram and has been getting a lot of traction. In the image, we see David Ramsey holding a box containing a device that is radiating a glowing green aura. The Power Ring is not inside it and we never see an actual shape but the green aura and the box itself confirm that The CW might have some plans for David Ramsey after all. It just might be an LED light but it still has huge implications for the Arrow-Verse.

Every Arrow fan was excited to see John Diggle scour through the crater to get to the Green Lantern Power Ring. The scene came right at the end of the Arrow series finale and left much to the viewers’ imaginations. Right after the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, we see images of Oa, the home planet of the Guardians of the Universe and the headquarters of the Green Lantern Corps in the DC Universe.

This was just a thinly veiled attempt at referencing Diggle’s new journey within the Arrow Verse. The fans then kept badgering The CW Network with questions like whether this means that Diggle will be getting his solo series as the Green Lantern or will he now star in the Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular that Arrow has ended.

Arrow Confirms Diggle is Green Lantern

Diggle’s Green Lantern Connection has been referenced quite a few numbers of times in the Arrow Verse. Diggle’s step-father’s name is Roy Stewart. Diggle is ex-military. There is Green Lantern in the DC Universe who is also ex-military. His name is John Stewart and he starred in the DC Animated Series Justice League that once aired regularly on Cartoon Network a few years ago. Add to all that the fact that Earth 90 Flash even said that Diggle was not wearing his ring anymore all indicates to one thing and one thing only – Diggle is or is about to be a Green Lantern.

If you are wondering about the post made by David Ramsey aka John Diggle on Instagram, well here it is;

Arrow Confirms Diggle is Green Lantern

We know it is a little hard to digest that The CW only addressed Diggle’s Green Lantern connection after referencing it and playing mind games with the viewers for so long. John Diggle might be headed for great things to come in the coming years. It would be a waste to let him go after giving him such a huge role to play in the Arrow Verse. But you know what they say: Better Late than Never!!

The Sixth Annual Arrow Verse Crossover – Crisis on Infinite Earths aired on the 9th of December 2019. It featured Green Arrow, the Flash, Black Lightning, The Legends of Tomorrow, Bat Woman, and Super Girl in titular and pivotal roles. The official synopsis for the crossover reads:

In “Crisis“, the Monitor gathers Green Arrow, the Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, Sara Lance, Ray Palmer, and several “Paragons” from throughout the multiverse to stop the Anti-Monitor from destroying all of reality. The crossover’s events result in the Arrowverse’s continuity being rebooted, affecting all of the series.

Logan Williams, Who Played Young Barry Allen in The Flash, Passes Away at 16

Young Barry Allen in The Flash passes away:

The Flash is one of the greatest superhero shows in The CW network. It is also one of the staunchest pillars of the shared small screen superhero universe more popularly known as the Arrow Verse. Many actors have been a part of the show throughout its multiple season runs. Some have stayed back while some were bound to leave, never to return again. One of the actors, Logan Williams, who played a vital role in the very first season of the show, has gone to a better place. We will never see him again.

Young Barry Allen in The Flash passes away

Logan Williams was better known as the younger version of Barry Allen. He played the younger counterpart of Grant Gustin’s character in The Flash. Sadly, the sweet little kid is no more. He passed away a few days ago, on April 2. He was a mere 16 years old at the time. That is a tender age to embrace death with open arms.

Young Barry Allen in The Flash passes away

The Canadian Tri-City News Network delivered the sad news the next morning. The actual cause of death has not been revealed and Logan Williams’ family is trying to keep matters private right now, evading media questions. The media has complied and let them have their space. Logan Williams has been a part of other major shows which are also super hits like Supernatural, When Calls the Heart, and The Whispers. His accolades hence do not end with just The Flash. He was also part of the acclaimed TV movie The Colour of Rain, which won numerous awards in international forums. Logan Williams was even nominated for the Best Newcomer category during the 2015 awards at UBCP/ACTRA.

Young Barry Allen in The Flash passes away

Marlyse Williams, Logan’s mother, was at a loss for words when asked to say a few words in memory of her son. She said she was absolutely devastated at losing her son so early. She claims she is finding it hard to face her parents and In-Laws, who have lost their only grandchild. Logan Williams was the only son. Marlyse even went on to say that with Logan’s gorgeous looks and natural talent at acting, he had the potential to be a superstar in the movie-making and show business industry. Indeed, ma’am! Indeed!!

Even Grant Gustin came forward to share some of the sweetest moments he had with Logan Williams and his other fellow co-star Jesse L. Martin. He took to Instagram to post the picture with the three Flash stars in one frame. He stated and we quote:

Young Barry Allen in The Flash passes away

“Just hearing the devastating news that Logan Williams has passed away suddenly,” Grant Gustin writes. “This picture was early in the filming of The Flash pilot episode back in 2014. I was so impressed by not only Logan’s talent but his professionalism on set. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is I’m sure an unimaginably difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for us all. Sending love to everyone.”

Logan Williams

Born on the 9th of April 2003, Logan Williams was of Canadian Origin, having born and brought up in the city of Vancouver. He later shifted to the city of Coquitlam, a region within the British Columbia territory, where he grew up and was recognized as an up and coming talent in the small screen entertainment industry. Logan Williams is survived by his father Clive Williams and mother Marlyse Williams. Logan also has grand-parents on both maternal and paternal sides as well as aunts and uncles, who will carry on his legacy.

Logan Williams

We cannot even imagine what his family might be going through at the moment. Quirkybyte offers its heartfelt condolences. As fans and genuine human beings, it is sad to see such a young light with such tremendous talent be extinguished so early. The World will never have another Logan Williams. Here’s to Logan – Always keep running my Young Flash. Always keep running. And keep watching over us all.

The Flash: Ralph Dibny Makes Stunning Revelation About Arrowverse History

The new season of ‘The Flash’ is off to a rollicking start with the usual cast coming back. The first episode titled “Nora” picked up from the last scene of season 4 where the future daughter of Barry Allen and Iris West time travelled to the present day as she had no other choice left (in her mind).

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

In season 4, the famous detective Ralph Dibny was introduced into the show and he was one of 12 bus metas created by ‘The Thinker’ to further his sinister agenda. He eventually became ‘Elongated Man’ and rest we all know what happened. But one thing about Ralph was revealed in the debut episode that he wasn’t aware of the possibility of time-travel or existence of multi-verse at all.

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

In his quest for knowledge, he actually stumbled upon something that was news to us fans too about Arrowverse history. In season 1, a meta-human named ‘Blackout’ targeted Prof. Wells for destroying his life and many others as held him responsible for particle accelerator explosion. He blamed him for not caring about the victims, to this Wells replied that he deeply cared about and remembered the names of each and everyone, which included Ralph Dibny.

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

Coming back to season 5, Ralph asked Cisco and Caitlin jokingly that if time travel was possible – why didn’t Barry prevent ‘The Thinker’ from killing him? He then himself replied that Barry didn’t go as he didn’t think it was worth risking changing the past and maybe in an alternate timeline he would have died in the particle accelerator explosion instead at the hands of Thinker.

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

Todd Helbing (show-runner), Candice Patton and Grant Gustin had this to say about the introduction of Nora Allen (and they were all bang on):

“We always like to introduce characters and sort of highlight areas that come from the comics but we don’t want to be beholden exactly to them so we can change the stories as we see fit and tell it for a television show.”

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

He added:

“With [Nora], it’s the time that she comes from and what she did. She makes this sort of big mistake at the end of the episode — you see the concern of what she’s done, and Barry certainly learned his lessons from time travel, so now it’s going to be interesting to put him on the different side of the problem and see how he can help her fix it.”

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

Candice Patton aka Iris West Allen spoke about her character’s dynamic with her future daughter:

“Iris is very, very excited and eager to get to know her daughter who’s back from the future. And I think that, as we hinted in the finale last season, that’s kind of met with some coldness from Nora. Which we’ll get into later in the season, why there’s some distance in between the two of them. But it’s been really interesting to play this dynamic of Iris really wanting to enjoy this time with her daughter, and figuring out why Nora’s kind of not into that.”

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

Grant Gustin aka Barry Allen said:

“Well we’re really getting along, and it’s great. So well. She is total daddy’s girl.”

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

The Flash season 5 has truly amazing cast including Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West Allen, Carlos Valdes as Cisco, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Tom Cavanaugh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Kid Flash, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora Allen.

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

CW’s ‘The Flash’ season 5 will be aired on October 16, 2018, Tuesdays at 8:00. Here’s the official description:

“Barry and Team Flash track down a meta that is stealing high-tech weapons, only to cross paths with a new foe named Cicada, who is hunting the very same meta, with nefarious intent”.

The Flash Ralph Dibny Arrowverse

The official synopsis for the season is as follows:

“Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?”

The trailer has been released by CW and the fans are almost in love with this. This is going to be the first season in which Beth Schwartz is going to feature as a brand-new showrunner after the departure of Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle.

Arrow Season 7 Trailer

In this new season, we are going to see that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is spending his time in prison for all the crimes he has done in the name and skin of Green Arrow. The seventh season is finally going to introduce the character of ‘The Longbow Hunters and also the much-awaited return of Colton Haynes as a regular in series, also reprising his role of Arsenal aka Roy Harper.

Arrow Season 7 Trailer In the latest trailer of the season, we get the first look of some famous characters as The Longbow Hunters, Silencer, Kodiak, and Red Dart. The roles are going to be played by Miranda Edwards (The Magicians), Holly Elissa (Whistler), and Michael Jonsson (Van Helsing), also teasing he arrival of a new hero under the famous hood of the ‘Green Arrow’. The trailer of the show has been given below and you can feel the thrill and curiosity all by yourself, the trailer is listed below.

It is set in the Arrowverse and is sharing continuity with other T.V. series of the universe. The season is going to be produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment. The production of the season began earlier this year in July.

Arrow Season 7 Trailer

Also, it has been revealed that David Ramsey would direct the eleventh-episode of the season, also marking Ramsey’s directorial debut. The man has also grown a beard to accurately resemble the Green Arrow of the comics. Guggenheim also confirmed that Haynes would be reprising his role as Roy Harper from the previous appearances, and not another version of the character.

Arrow Season 7 Trailer

The man who is playing the role of Oliver Queen has told in an interview with IGN as he stated that,

“Normally I have a really good overall view of the season; the interesting thing thus far this season is, I had a scene recently and it was the first time that I had worked with a series regular in months, because Oliver’s very isolated in prison, obviously, The prison stuff, it’s really gritty. And we beat Oliver down. There’s one episode where I spend the entire episode in one room. That’s it, and it was just two straight days of super, super interesting and intense stuff that I don’t think we’ve really done on the show. We’ve never taken a character and isolated him and examined him psychologically the way we have this year with Oliver … So that sort of examination has been a really interesting exercise for me.”

Arrow Season 7 Trailer

The actor has also told his experiences in living a life in prison and also the things which we are going to see in the season by stating that,

“He’s in prison with a bunch of people that he basically put there. And I would say that Brick is kind of the ringleader of the group. But the things that Oliver discovers about some of the prisoners, I think are a little bit unexpected for the first part of the season. And there’s a couple of interesting employees in the prison, and there’s also an inmate that I don’t think Oliver ever thought he would see again. Stanley and Oliver have a relationship where, when he first gets in there, he seeks out Oliver for help and for protection. And there’s a very, very interesting scene, where Brick and his whole crew use Stanley as leverage against Oliver. And especially in the first episode, it really illustrates how far Oliver’s fallen, and how he’s had to cope with being in prison.”

Arrow Season 7 Trailer

The Arrow Season 7 is set to be premiered on October 15 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. What you think about the trailer? Tell us in the comments section below.

Arrowverse Update: New Crossover Event Will Feature Another Kryptonian Character

It might not even seem weird when we tell that there is a new generation of superheroes and they are neither MCU nor DCEU. As a matter of fact, they do not even have representation in the movie theatres. It is The CW’s Arrowverse. The shared superhero universe of the small screens has been rocking our world ever since Arrow Season 1 premiered in the network five years ago. And with that, the Arrowverse came in. What’s next? The Crossovers are the greatest cash cows of the network right now. With all the CW shows coming into a single screen, the crossovers are a sight to behold. With three crossover events already, the next one is about to happen pretty soon. And looks like The CW has a big surprise! Presenting – Arrowverse update: New Crossover event will feature another Kryptonian character!!!

Another super powerful character might be heading to The CW’s small screen shared superhero universe. And you might have an idea of who he might be. Or do you? Can you guess which superhero we are talking about?

The Green Arrow, the Flash, and Super Girl are coming back to town and they have something special planned for their fans. But they will be joined by another superhuman Kryptonian. The heroes will be heading to Gotham City and they will be meeting Batwoman there. Ruby Rose is playing the part of the superheroine on screen. And they will all be aided in their next attempt to save the world from apparent destruction by none other than Superman.

The Man of Steel has only appeared in Super Girl and he has been underground since Season 2 of the show. With the introduction of Lois Lane to the Arrowverse, the frequency of Superman appearing in The CW’s Arrowverse network is likely to see an increase.

That Hashtag Show has already said that two more Kryptonian characters are joining the Arrowverse. Dr Elias Kern and Lon-El are about to become a part of The CW superhero network. But we all know how casting calls are done. They always change the real character’s name to some other name to hide their true identity. The character description for Lon-El is ‘inscrutable’ and ‘ambiguous’ as well as a person possessing ‘near infinite’ levels of power.

We do not know about you but if you ask us, it sounds a lot like Superman or someone who has the same levels of power as Superman. The fact that the last name of the character is the same as that of Superman’s ancestral family name it gives all the more reason for us to believe the same.

Lon-El could also be Superman’s father. Considering the fact that Super Girl has already established the fact that there have been other Kryptonian survivors other than Superman and Super Girl, the possibility of Jor-El actually being this ‘Lon-El’ character could be a shocking twist to the Superman story. If this is indeed true, we are sure Jor-El would then appear in other Arrowverse shows. The Legends of Tomorrow, who are not a part of the Crossover this time, can be the ones that Lon-El visits next.

The Last Arrowverse Crossover titled Crisis on Earth X was released on November 27, 2017. The official plot synopsis for the crossover reads:

Barry and Iris’s wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold, The Ray, Felicity Smoak, Iris West, and Alex Danvers to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and White Canary – lead their teams into battle to save the world.

Arrowverse

The casting call could actually reveal a lot about the story of the crossover. If Lon-El turns out to be a threat (which we think he will), it could explain why we also need Superman to be in the superhero roster for this one. The story might be featuring a lot of Gotham City and the world of Batman and Batwoman but the major plot element of the story arc would be centered on the Kryptonians. Let us hope the Arrowverse can give this one their best shot as well.

The Flash Season 5 Set Photos Reveal Another Look at Barry’s New Suit

The Arrowverse has grown really big by now, but the main credit for the division of this shared Universe goes to The Flash even though it was Arrow that began it all. The Flash really opened up the Universe bringing in Time Travel, the multiple Earths theory and obviously the super-powered Metahumans. Throughout all 4 seasons, he fought 3 super-speedsters who were way faster than him, and then he met with the biggest challenge that he could ever face, The Thinker. Now, moving into The Flash Season 5 Barry will not only get a new suit, but he will also take on a brand new villain Cicada.

The Flash Season 5 Set Photos Barry's New Suit

The Mystery girl from Season 4 was revealed to be Barry and Iris’ daughter from the future, Nora Allen. It was revealed at Comic-Con 2018, that we will get to see the infamous ring suit from the comics in Season 5, and Barry will get that suit by the courtesy of Nora Allen. Since a suit cannot be fitted into a small ring, it will obviously be a part of the future tech, and so far we have got certain looks at the suit through a leaked set photo, an official poster reveals and Grant Gustin posting a photo on Instagram. Here’s the photo of Gustin posing in the new suit on set and seems that he shot a scene where the Flash is worn out from battle:

This does look like the future tech suit which Flash will get this season as it looks much sleeker and has a crisp look, having lost the Golden design that ran throughout the suit which was prominent in the last 4 seasons. A leaked photo showed the suit before these photos were released and it got a lot of criticism due to Gustin’s lean physique which was getting highlighted in the suit. Gustin had the perfect reply to all the criticism and body shaming as he posted on his Instagram saying:

Grant Gustin Flash's Suit

“So here’s the thing about this bullsh*t photo leak, It’s a cool suit. There’s a terrible photo that I was unaware was being taken, much less being posted. Some things need work and they will be worked on. We’ll get there. As far as the body shaming. That’s what pisses me off. Not even just for my sake. I’ve had 20+ years of kids and adults telling me or my parents that I was too thin. But there’s a double standard where it’s OK to talk sh*t about a dude’s body.”

“I do my best to stay in shape and add as much size as I can throughout these seasons. I’m naturally thin, and my appetite is greatly affected by stress. Stress is something that ebbs and flows for me throughout a season. Thus, gaining weight is a challenge for me.”

“I didn’t cast a slim actor as The Flash. I went to an audition for a role I never dreamed I’d actually book. But, here I am 5 seasons later. I’m happy with my body and who I am and other kids who are built like me and thinner than me should be able to feel the same way. Not only that, but they should be able to feel like THEY could be a superhero on TV or film or whatever it may be some day.”

“I love the suit that has been designed for me, and I think when everyone sees it in its entirety, you will love it too. Things have been adjusted since that leaked shot was taken, and more things will continue to be adjusted until it feels right.”

Now, some more set photos have hit the net giving us quite a good look at the entire suit that we will get to see in Season 5. Check out the set photos shown above. The good thing about this suit is that it is very unique, and it has lost its leather look which was there in the previous seasons which used to make the suit look cheaper. This new suit is more like spandex and fits Gustin’s body really well. The changes made to the cowl, with the removed chin piece may be debatable, but it sure makes the suit more comic accurate.

The Flash returns on CW on October 9, 2018.

The First Look at the Amazing New Poster of Arrow Season 7 Revealed

All the CW Arrowverse shows are returning to the network this fall with renewed seasons. All of them have fans excited but the most interesting Phase will be on Arrow Season 7 as Oliver Queen is going to face the charges for all the crimes that he has committed while trying to save his city. Season 6 finally outed him as the Green Arrow and now he will be in prison at least for the first few episodes of this season.

Arrow Season 7 New Poster

Team Arrow did neutralise the threat of Richard Dragon aka Ricardo Diaz in the season 6 finale, but the next season is going to be an even bigger test for Oliver Queen since his secret Identity is not a secret anymore and he will have to take on the villains that he has actually put away in the last 6 years in jail. We got a brand new trailer for the seventh season of Arrow at this year’s Comic-Con and it was remarkable. Check it out:

Right before Comic-Con, the synopsis of the upcoming season was also released:

“There has been no shortage of close calls for Oliver Queen when it comes to protecting his Super Hero identity, but in the season six finale, he was finally backed into a corner and forced to reveal himself to the world as the Green Arrow. Now, Oliver will come face-to-face with many of the criminals he placed behind bars, as he makes a new home for himself at Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, challenging him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.”

Now, Stephen Amell has given us the first look at the amazing poster of Season 7 which surely states that this season will be brutal for Oliver Queen as he will have to survive beat downs in Supermax prison being surrounded by criminals of Star City. Have a look:

Queen looks really worn off but we know that he will come out of this as he is the Green Arrow after all! He survived 5 years in hell, and then fought crime for 6 more years before finally outing himself as the Green Arrow in order to save his teammates from punishment. This season, in particular, is going to be very exciting because Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper is going to be back on the show as a series regular, and we will get the debut of Batwoman through Arrow in the big crossover event which will take place in December.

Here’s what Haynes had to say about his return on Arrow Season 7:

“I got a call from Greg Berlanti, and he said ‘Hey’. I was shooting [American] Horror Story at the time. And he said ‘If you want to come back, you’re welcome to come back. We have a great idea.’ And it’s the craziest idea. Roy Harper’s coming back in a way that no one is going to understand. It’s amazing, and I was like ‘I can’t wait to be around my friends and my family!’ And so I, of course, jumped at that opportunity.”

This particular season may actually be much darker than all other seasons as the brutality of prison will be truly personified, and the same thing has been said by the Stunt Coordinator James Bamford:

“Beth [Schwartz, Arrow showrunner] and I had a phone call with BNSP, which is our censors… a very lengthy phone call about a particular scene that we never had before,” Bamford said. “So, we are really trying to push the limits on the show in the gritty factor. We are trying to go as far as you can go within the confines of our network and what is expected of us and what we can do and can’t do. We are not on Netflix, so we will never be able to X, Y, and Z, but we are damn sure going to try.”

Arrow Season 7

Arrow includes a very diverse cast with Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Colton Haynes as Roy Harper, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Juliana Harkavy as Dinah Drake/Black Canary, Rick Gonzalez as Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog, Echo Kellum as Curtis Holt/Wild Dog and Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance/Black Siren.

Arrow Season 7 will return on October 15 on the CW Network.

The Arrowverse Crossover Dates Have been Announced with a Batwoman Twist

The Arrowverse is actually the MCU of TV as it is as established as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now, with more than 30 Superheroes of the DC Universe being active in their respective cities/shows. It all began with Arrow, but it was The Flash who really opened up the shared Universe by bringing in the Metahumans. Arrow kept it grounded to reality for a while, but then it steadily opened up to the big fictitious world. As these two shows established so many characters which the fans began to love, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow got its moment to shine. Then came in the strongest of them all, Supergirl.

From the last 2 years/2 seasons of every Arrowverse show, we have been enjoying the big crossover events that bring all our favourite Superheroes of the Arrowverse together. What’s best is that the crossover always takes place for more than 1 episode. So we get multiple nights of sheer awesomeness! Earlier, the Flash and Arrow used to have surprise appearances with each other. The Flash did the same with Supergirl as well. Then the Legends happened and CW brought Supergirl into their own shared Universe with the Infinite Earth’s theory of The Flash. And from there on, the big crossover nights of the Arrowverse began.

The first Crossover actually happened for 4 consecutive nights where the heroes teamed up for 4 whole episodes in order to fight off an alien invasion. The second big crossover event used the Infinite Earths theory and there the supers actually fought evil Nazi versions of themselves. This crossover was shorter than the last one as it lasted only 2 episodes, but the roster of the heroes was even bigger this time around.

Now, CW has announced the dates for this year’s crossover, and we are glad to see that this time the big event will last for 3 whole nights. The Flash will be the first Arrowverse show to return on October 9. It will be followed by Supergirl on October 14 and Arrow on October 15. Legends will have their season premiere at the end on October 22. All these shows will then lead up to the big Crossover night where all Superheroes are going to go against a new threat.

But there will be something very different with this year’s crossover. CW announced the dates of the crossover this year with the photo given above.  As we can see in the image, it will begin with The Flash on Sunday, December 9 at 8 pm ET, Arrow will continue it on Monday, December 10 at 8 pm ET and then Supergirl will end it on Tuesday, December 11 at 8 pm ET.

So the difference this time around will be the fact that the Legends will not be included in the big crossover. It does look great when a huge roster of Superheroes come together, but it does get really difficult for the writers to manage and justify screen time for all. So, it is good in a way that the Legends will not be included in the crossover this time. On the other hand, we will actually have a Batwoman twist in it, as the Bat Signal in the image signifies exactly that.

Another peculiar detail if you might have noticed in this announcement image says that the opening episode will be a special night (The Flash), then it will be a regular episode (The Arrow) and the final night will again be a special night (Supergirl). So, this could mean that the crossover events will mainly take place on the nights when The Flash and Supergirl will air, and Arrow will more or less continue the story of its own season much like Supergirl did in the first ever crossover even, as it connected to the crossover at the very end.

Arrowverse Crossover Batwoman

Ruby Rose was recently cast as Batwoman in the Arrowverse by CW, and now it is official that she will begin her story arc from December making her debut in the Arrowverse crossover. Hopefully this year’s crossover turns out to be the best one yet. With the legends not in the picture, it can actually focus more upon Team Flash, Team Arrow and Team Supergirl, with Kate Kane aka Batwoman in the mix. With Batwoman, we will obviously get to see CW’s first look at Gotham which will be amazing.

‘The Flash’ Season 5: [Spoiler] Is Coming Back To The Central City

CW’s ‘The Flash’ will soon be entering into its fifth season and things are looking pretty exciting. The teaser trailer has evoked a positive response from the DC fans and they are ready for yet another adventure.

At the end of season 4, Team Flash defeated Clifford DeVoe aka ‘The Thinker’ who was hell-bent on stripping humanity of all intelligence to bring enlightenment. But his diabolical plot was foiled by combined efforts of Team Flash and Clifford’s Wife Marlize DeVoe aka ‘The Mechanic’.

Here’s what executive producer Todd Helbing has said:

“It is nice to have a villain that we can change up what Barry’s obstacle and the team’s obstacles are, and how to take somebody down.”

He added:

“The Thinker, DeVoe, [was] a lot of fun and we certain see the benefits of doing that. Having a meta that isn’t a speedster and the new ways that we can pose challenges for those guys is fun. So I think for next season, it’s certainly not going to be a speedster.”

Well, the season 5 villain is a non-speedster as well and it’s Cicada (to be played by Chris Klein) from Flash’s rogues’ gallery. He is a cult leader who is obsessed with hunting down anyone that Flash has saved in the past, as he believes it would help resurrect his wife.

Team Flash let go one of its members in the previous season i.e Wally West aka Kid Flash who would be series regular in CW’s Legends of Tomorrow. The actor Keiynan Lonsdale indicated that he is looking for new projects and he might do a cameo in the future. Well, the executive producer Helbing has confirmed his appearance for three episodes.

“You will see Wally in the first episode. He is in three episodes this season,” show-runner Todd Helbing confirmed to Newsarama. “We don’t have as much time with Kid Flash as I think everyone would like to see, but the story we have for him is really cool.”

Recently, Keiynan had been in the news as he came out as “gay” and said:

“I hope we can all learn to embrace who we are & not judge people who aren’t exactly the same as us. He opened up about his sexuality and said that he is done apologizing for falling in love with people no matter their gender”.

It would be great to see ‘Kid Flash’ even if it’s for a little while, once again helping Team Flash in dealing with Cicada or fixing the mistakes committed by Barry and Iris’s future daughter Nora Allen who came back in time to tell her parents of the giant screw up she has done in future.

flash Chris Klein

The Season 5 has a pretty solid cast including Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West Allen, Carlos Valdes as Cisco, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Tom Cavanaugh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Kid Flash, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora Allen.

CW’s ‘The Flash’ season 5 will come on air on October 9, 2018, Tuesdays at 8:00. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?”

The Flash Brings in a Brand New Villain for Season 5

The CW has grown really big and the major credit for that goes to The Flash. It all began with Arrow as the major credit for CW’s shared universe goes to that, but the expansion actually happened due to what The Flash had to offer. Arrow obviously chipped in setting up certain characters, but the credit really goes to The Flash as it set up a Universe full of super-powered beings while Arrow was set up in more of a real-world scenario.

It has been 4 years since The Flash has been impressing us all, and we have to admit that this was the show that really changed the game for Superheroes. It was a factor for promoting WB to go forward with their shared Universe on the big screen. They were obviously inspired by what MCU had done, but DC TV shows were working really among the fans, and that spawned the shared Universe on the big screen.

So far we have seen so many characters being established from the comics which would never have made it to a cinematic screen if it was not for this show. We got to see 3 big bad speedsters, and then The Thinker took it to a whole new level. The show brings new amazing villains every season and the big revelation out of last month’s San Diego Comic-Con was that Team Flash is set to face off against the DC villain Cicada in Season 5, but as always he is not the only villain to go up against the fastest man alive.

A new report from Deadline states that the ‘Sacred Lies’ actor Kiana Madeira has been cast in the role of Spencer Young aka Spin. According to the breakdown of the casting, Spencer “Is a young aspiring social media influencer who seizes the opportunity to make herself famous when she discovers there is a new hero in Central City.”

In the comics, Auerbach aka Spin first made his debut in 2008’s The Flash#238, and he turned out to be a pretty lethal and deadly villain against The Flash. He works as a reporter and is the son of a media mogul. Spin has the powers of amplifying metahuman abilities so he could harness them for himself.

Recently the star of CW’s The Flash, Grant Gustin took it to the understand stating his claim against criticism from Body shamers who criticised his character’s new suit due to his slim physique right after an unofficial image got leaked. He has been playing the role for 4 years now, and the fans have loved him, so we all should stand in his support. Here’s what he posted on Instagram in reply of all the Criticism:

The Flash

The Flash will return to CW on Tuesday, October 9th.

Flash Season 5: Grant Gustin Teases New Suit With Amazing Capabilities

CW’s ‘The Flash’ is ready to enter into its fifth season, and things are really looking good for DC fans. The first two seasons were slick, intriguing and kept the audience on the edge; but last two seasons have struggled on all those fronts. The plot points of the new season are still unknown but slowly and steadily information is coming out of CW’s camp.

Grant Gustin was asked about the suit that he would do in the upcoming season, here’s what he said:

“The suit that I wore for four years, it was easy enough to get into.” Gustin explained. “It was a jacket and pants, and they were leather.”

The trailer that was played at SDCC 2018 clearly showed that there will be a new suit in the fifth season. This time we will see the version of Flash ring from the comics that was brought to him by his future daughter Nora Allen (played by Jessica Parker Kennedy).

Barry Allen will be donning his old suit with slight changes and it’s likely that he will have another suit to deal with the mistakes committed by Nora and a new villain ‘Cicada’ from Flash’s rogue’s gallery. His name in the comics is David Hersch while in the TV show, it’s Desmond Paull. He will be played by actor Chris Klein.

He is a founder of the cult dedicated to hating the Flash. He is an immortal meta-human who has the ability to absorb meta-human powers of others. He wants to kill anyone that Flash has ever saved as in his mind, this would resurrect his dead wife.

Here’s what executive producer Todd Helbing has said:

“It is nice to have a villain that we can change up what Barry’s obstacle and the team’s obstacles are, and how to take somebody down.”

He added: “The Thinker, DeVoe, [was] a lot of fun and we certain see the benefits of doing that. Having a meta that isn’t a speedster and the new ways that we can pose challenges for those guys is fun. So I think for next season, it’s certainly not going to be a speedster.”

Previously, this is what Helbing said about the villains of the show:

“There are certainly speedsters in the cannon of Flash that we want to explore and we want on the show and everybody… Like Reverse Flash to me personally is one of my favorite villains, one of my favorite speedsters, so I’d love that guy to pop up now and then, you know what I mean? But I think it was refreshing, and it’s just been a lot of fun this year not having to constantly come up with new ideas of how a speedster could pose a threat to Barry. So, it’s fun, and it’s new, and it’s a new challenge, but I think having speedsters in the mythology of the show is never going to change.”

“I think having Zoom and then followed up by Savitar, you know, I can understand that feeling. It’s because trying to reinvent, you know, like a new power for an evil speedster or what they can do … Like we can’t have it just who’s faster for the entirety of a series.”

“The Thinker literally is the smartest guy on the planet, so there’s a lot of chess pieces that he’s moving around simultaneously. As Team Flash is figuring out who he is and what they think the plan is, there’s a lot of fun as we show the audience information and then have our team catch up to that information or surpass it. It’s a big mystery.”

The Flash has a solid cast for new season including Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Tom Cavanaugh, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy.

Grant Gustin Has Finally Resolved Plot Hole Related To Flash’s Suit

CW’s ‘The Flash’ is one of the leading shows in the superhero genre, which attracts massive TRP’s for the network. It is now entering into its fifth season and things are really upbeat. Despite huge success, there are certain plot holes that fans have pointed out, the silliest among them is that every time Flash dons his suit, the mannequin in the cabinet disappears.

Grant Gustin Flash's Suit

In a recent interview, Grant Gustin decided to address plot hole involving a mannequin and a suit.

“There’s always one on the mannequin. I think if I needed to put that one on we could take that off the mannequin and I could put that one on.”

flash Chris Klein

“Which doesn’t make sense ’cause there’s a thing there with the mannequin with the suit and then I take and put the suit on, but the mannequin is gone,” he said. “That’s always been a question, fans are like, ‘where’s the mannequin?’ One of our last episodes I remember actually the whole cast, were just like dicking around at the end of the take and the take ended with me running out to get my suit and then exiting and we all together went and were like ‘I’ve got the mannequin.’ Carlos, who plays Cisco, helped me and we were all kind of like grabbing it together and then Tom Cavanagh ran over as well, and we were all like ‘thanks man, thanks man’ as we carried the mannequin out together.”

Grant Gustin was recently asked about the new suit that he would be wearing in the upcoming season, he did not answer the question clearly but teased an older version of the suit. Here’s what he said:

“The suit that I wore for four years, it was easy enough to get into.” Gustin explained. “It was a jacket and pants, and they were leather.”

The Flash makers ran a trailer at SDCC 2018 which made it clear that there will be a new suit in the fifth season. Finally, we will see the version of Flash ring from the DC comics, it was brought to Barry Allen by his future daughter Nora Allen (played by Jessica Parker Kennedy).

Barry Allen will be donning an evolution of his old suit and it’s possible that he will have another suit to deal with the threat posed by an immortal supervillain ‘Cicada’ from Flash’s rogues gallery. He goes by the name David Hersch in the comics.

In TV show there is a character Desmond Paull who is very likely a front for Cicada. He will be played by actor Chris Klein. He is a cult leader who wants to remove everyone who is saved by Flash ever as it would help resurrect his deceased wife.

The Flash season 7 has an incredibly talented cast including Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy.

CW’s ‘The Flash’ season 5 will come on October 9, 2018, Tuesdays at 8:00.

Flash Season 5 New Set Photo Confirms Time Travel Will Have A Big Role To Play

CW’s Flash is entering into its fifth season, and there have been ups and downs in the show’s journey. The first two seasons were intriguing, slick and had strong villains; but last two seasons struggled on all those fronts. The details of the new season are still under wraps but set photos have started to surface and shared online.

One of the most popular plot devices for the makers of ’The Flash’ has been Time travel. It’s been used effectively by writers and every-time Flash breaks the time-space continuum, the narrative reaches to a whole new level.

This set image from the new season confirmed that there will be time travel. Barry Allen aka Flash is seen donning an old costume embedded with red chest emblem and the caption reads:

“What have you done Nora?” with reference to Nora West-Allen.

In season 4, Team Flash figured out a way to defeat ‘The Thinker’ by teaming up with his wife who knew how his mind works. He was the smartest man alive and was always way ahead of Team Flash. He wanted to introduce enlightenment into the world by cleansing humanity of any intelligence and influence of modern technology. In the end, his sinister plan couldn’t succeed.

In the last episode, the show teased the larger plot that will mark season 5. The identity of the ‘Mystery Girl’ was revealed who first appeared in the 1st episode of Arrowverse crossover event “Crisis on Earth-X” at Barry’s wedding and then she gate-crashed Joe and Cecile’s baby shower party. She was none other than Nora West Allen, future daughter of Barry Allen and Iris West.

Well, she broke the golden rule of being a speedster – Never alter the timeline! Barry Allen, her father, learned the hard way when he saved her mother from Man in a yellow suit and introduced ‘Flashpoint’ but it had disastrous consequences as time will always find a way, as explained by Prof. Wells. But Nora Allen explained that there is a huge mistake committed in the future and this was the only way.

The villain of season 5 is Desmond Paull, an immortal meta-human who has the powers to rid other metas of their powers, his objective is to eliminate meta-humans from the Central city for good. Desmond is likely a front name of one of the famous villains from Flash’s Rogues gallery – Cicara.

The executive producer of ‘The Flash’ Todd Helbing shared his opinion on the seasons and villains till now, here’s what he said:

Flash Season 5

The Flash has a solid cast for new season including Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Tom Cavanaugh, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy. The rest of the details are yet to be officially announced. It will come on Tuesdays on CW.

The Flash: A Huge Character From Earth X Is Coming To Central City

The Arrowverse has expanded a lot now and in this entire Superhero universe that has been set up on the CW network, we have seen a number of Superheroes and Villains from the DC universe make their way into this amazing TV Superhero world.

It has shattered the myth of studios that shows based on popular superhero characters from comics have limited shelf life and they aren’t scalable as it caters only to a niche audience. DC’s shared TV universe is far ahead of its competitor i.e. Marvel in terms of the size of the audience and TRP’s. The shows that have really explored the boundaries beyond physical reality are The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

The Flash is the show that was launched after the massive success of Arrow that became a trendsetter for other superhero shows to follow suit. CW’s ‘The Flash’ should get credit for everything beyond the laws of nature being established into the CW. It introduced us to Time Travel, multiple Earths and most importantly, lots and lots of Meta-Humans.

More than the Metas, The Flash brought in so many characters and especially villains that we have grown to love in the first 3 seasons. The debut season saw Prof. Harrison Wells aka Reverse Flash as the quintessential bad guy who wanted to destroy Flash without removing himself from the timeline. But Eobard Thawne’s ancestor Eddie Thawne (Iris West’s boyfriend cum Joe’s partner) sacrificed himself to erase his entire family tree from the timeline. Tom Cavanagh as Prof. Wells totally knocked it out of the park.

In season 2, the villain was yet another evil speedster named Hunter Zolomon aka Zoom who wanted to wipe out the entire multi-verse. But in the end, he was outsmarted and time wraiths took him for messing with the timeline. He was much like Avery from popular Netflix series “Making a Murderer”. He had a traumatic childhood, saw his mother die, being sent to foster care and finally ended up in the Earth-2 prison system. He was exposed to torture which turned him into a serial killer. One day he came in contact with dark matter from particle accelerator explosion and he assumed speed powers.

In season 3, the bad guy was speed god itself i.e Savitar. He was nothing but one of many time remnants that Barry created in order to stop Zoom from creating a huge trans-dimensional shock that would wipe out the whole multiverse. But in the future, Cisco, Joe, and others abandoned Savitar in pain and agony. He came back to avenge his personal humiliation and Team Flash is scrambling as Iris West will be killed in six months.

Now, for the first time we have got the big bad who is not even a speedster, but using the fastest brain of his, he has become way more than that. He goes by the name ‘The Thinker’. He is not the fastest man alive but the smartest man alive. His real name is Clifford DeVoe who was a university professor with big ideas and ambition. He allowed himself to be exposed to dark matter released from particle accelerator explosion that turned him a super-intelligent meta-human whose mission is to fix humanity of its frailties.

He also has help from his wife who was also a professor but is now “the truest of true believers who’ll stop at nothing to help him implement his plan to fix humanity”. She is sometimes referred to as ‘The Mechanic’.

The Thinker is the biggest adversary The Flash could ever face, and we don’t know how the show is going to top DeVoe next season. So much has happened on the Flash this season. Many old characters returned to the show, some left and we met many new Metahumans which were created by the Thinker himself. Some of those new Metas stuck for a while, and some didn’t.

Till now, he has absorbed the meta-human powers of 7 bus metas. Recently, the Flash met with the tragic death of Ralph Dibny whose powers and body are now transferred to DeVoe’s consciousness.

Now, the upcoming episode of the Flash is bringing Leonard Snart back to the central city. Unfortunately it will not be Captain Cold from Earth 1, but instead, we will meet Leo from Earth X. Leo first appeared in this year’s mega-crossover event – “Crisis on Earth X”, where the superheroes of Arrowverse fought evil Nazi versions of mostly themselves. In the CW Crossover, the Citizen Cold comic-book plot was adapted where Snart/Leo was not a street criminal but an upstanding citizen of the community who is waging war against Nazi forces.

Here is the official synopsis of CW Crossover event:

“Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world.”

Leo stuck with the Legends for a while to fight against Time monster Mallus, but at the right time, he left back to Earth X. But now he is coming back into the Arrowverse for one last time. Here’s the synopsis for Episode 19 of the Flash that added Wentworth Miller’s Leo Snart aka Citizen Cold into the mix:

“WENTWORTH MILLER RETURNS AS CITIZEN COLD — When Barry (Grant Gustin) needs help transporting a dangerous meta, he calls on a new friend for help – Leo Snart AKA Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller). Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) becomes suspicious of Harry (Tom Cavanagh).”

Miller even took to Instagram to tell his fans when he was shooting his last few episodes of the Arrowverse. Well, unfortunately, this was Goodbye and we may never see him ever again. Here’s what he wrote:

“Currently shooting some of my final episodes as ‘Captain Cold/Leonard Snart on the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. Grateful – now and in advance – to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews… Thank you… I’ve had a tremendous time playing this character. It’s been an opportunity, and education, and a f-cking blast.. With love and respect. – W.M.”

Miller mentioned that he would surely want to return to the show if there would be a need and if the script is written right. Here’s what he said:

“I will never say never because I do enjoy these characters so much. I have a lot of affection for the cast and it’s a really hard-working crew. I enjoy working in Vancouver so there are many reasons to come back, it just has to be the right story. So far, I think we’ve done a really good job of exploring all of who Leonard Snart is and his various incarnations. If the powers-that-be can prove to me that there’s more story there that’s worth telling, I’ll certainly consider it.”

flash

Well, what’s interesting is that along with Citizen Cold, The Flash is bringing in another Doppelganger from Earth X. It’s great to see that we will get to see the Earth X version of Black Siren in the upcoming episode of the Flash.

Last season, The Flash revived Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance in the form of Black Siren after Black Canary died in Arrow Season 4 at the hands of Damien Dark. She was part of meta-human army brought by Zoom to Earth-1 to meet his sinister ends. She has been playing the playing Black Siren from Earth 2 on Arrow for almost 2 seasons now. She is now Ricardo Diaz’s partner in CW’s Arrow.

flash

The Flash is now bringing another version of her called Siren-X. Let’s see whether this version of Black Siren has something special in store for us or not.

Batman Teased Again In Arrow Season 6

From the day the Arrowverse began on CW, fans have been wondering if their beloved Batman exists in this universe. Infact, so many memes were created at that time as DC fans are all about finding Batman everywhere in everything. This kind of obsession with one superhero (howsoever popular he may be) is unhealthy.

But come Arrow season 3, it became clear that Batman not only exists in this universe but showrunners have gone to the extent of making Batman comics foe ‘Ra’s Al Ghul’ as the big villain of the whole season. In many ways, Arrow is inspired by Dark Knight as he is also a playboy billionaire turned vigilante, both lost their parents in different circumstances and they want to save their cities. Further, in the show, Felicity is given a code name “Overwatch” as Oracle is supposedly taken.

It’s an open secret now that Stephen Amell is a huge Batman fan, in fact, on several occasions, he has said that his dream role will be to play Batman villain ‘Riddler’ on the big screen. Recently, Amell revealed that name-dropping Bruce Wayne in Arrow was his idea and he brought the producers on board. Here’s what he said:

“That was really funny; the original version of that script, which came out just before Comic-Con, was just Oliver referencing a famous name. I can’t even remember what the placeholder was; I think it might have been Justin Bieber. And I looked at it and thought to myself, ‘This is a cool opportunity.’ I talked to Greg Berlanti about it, and Greg said ‘I think it would behoove you to go straight to Geoff Johns and just simply ask. You’ll probably have better luck than I would.'”

“So I was at the DC Comics party at Comic Con — Geoff and I were supposed to meet and chat quickly. I couldn’t track him down, but the next thing I knew, I ended up in a four-way conversation with Peter Roth, Diane Nelson, and Kevin Tsujihara all at the same time. I was like, ‘Guys! I have an idea. I think it would be fun, I think it would open the door to a lot of possibilities.”

He further added that mentioning Bruce Wayne in the show has opened up possibilities for the future. He said:

“I’ve always thought that Bruce Wayne would be an interesting ally on the show, and an even more interesting villain to Oliver, which doesn’t mean that he’s the villain, it just means that they don’t like each other. I had this holy trinity of Warner Bros. Television and DC and Warner Bros. overall in front of me, and I pitched this idea, and I’ve got all my follow-up points, and Kevin Tsujihara just goes, ‘Yeah, sure.’ It’s like, ‘Really?’ and he said, ‘Yeah, that sounds fun. Do that.’ So we did it, and I didn’t actually believe that it would make it until I actually saw it in the locked cut.”

On the night of 25th January 2018 when Arrow aired, one thing was clear above all else, Cayden James is not here to play. In an attempt to foil another one of his plots, Oliver assembles the ‘Original’ Team Arrow.

On the other hand, Curtis “Mr. Terrific” Holt banded together with Black Canary and Wild Dog. In this moment of unexpected inspiration (we all knew these three to go on an adventure together.. Inevitable, right ? ), Mr. Terrific suggested that they call an unruly bunch of misfits “The Outsiders”.

Obviously, he was quickly shot down by the other members. As cheesy as the Mr. Terrific character is (I’m still trying to get over his involvement in the DC Metal event) but here he does something interesting.

He references “The Outsiders”, a team formed by a disgruntled Batman, on hiatus from the justice league. The entire premise of the team being formed in the DC universe was the fact that Batman was a vigilante so good, that he communed with the Gods(members of the league) and hence parted ways at times to run a special ops unit which was dubbed the outsiders.

Needless to say that there is an abundance of Batman references in the Arrowverse. If made into a list and then plotted on a chart, taking in mind the timeline of each reference and when it was dropped in the Arrowverse we might get a rough estimate of how and where the bat family exists in this universe.

But the bare fact is that if such a graph/chart/list we’re to exist it would prove one thing above all others, Arrowverse has it’s own timeline convoluted and confused or Batman has been active for far longer in this reality than arrow ever was.

Also, all these references tell us that the Dark Knight is not working alone but the mere mention of Outsiders tells us that the justice league exists in this universe too.

Is all this really that surprising? That is debatable. On one hand, we have already been introduced to an ideal Superman, one who has been operating in the arrowverse far longer than any other superhero and we have Arrow and The Flash independently handling Star City and Central City respectively. And then we have Supergirl being the Omega level entity that she is, a pure deterrent to any and all forces trying to aim for the earth.

The might of Supergirl has been well established over the three seasons of the show. But the question is , what is the arrowverse planning to do by baiting the audience over Batman again and again. The mere fact that the outsiders have been mentioned dictates that the Dark Knight is a far deep-rooted part of arrowverse than we could ever imagine.

Not to mention, with the premiere of Black lightening the reference could not have come at a better time.

In the series premiere of Black lightening ( that saw the return of the hero to the mainstream vigilantism and teased Thunder and lightning, black lightening’s daughters and sidekicks) we met a disgruntled hero who hind up his costume nine years ago. Black Lightning has been a core member of the outsiders in the comics. So this may confirm the entire theory.arrow

The entire theory suggests that the Dark Knight not only exists in the arrowverse but after a considerable peace or/and a major catastrophe, Bruce Wayne and some other heroes (such as black lightning and Katana) gave up their mantles, wanting to correct the situation and change the status quo with their personas behind the mask.

Maybe our caped crusader is trying to make a better world out of the Arrowverse not as Batman but simply as Bruce Wayne.

The Dark Knight

This may also mean that the Dark Knight was once operational in the Arrowverse but the situation is no longer the same and with the advent of whatever happened nine years ago, it may have affected more heroes than just black lightning himself.

It may also mean that as the show progresses it will shed light on both situation of Black lightening’s shrouded past and the fact how Bruce Wayne fits into the Arrowverse.

Arrow Synopsis Reveals A Major Green Arrow vs Black Canary Fight

The Arrow is arguably one of the greatest superheroes shows right now in the small screens. The CW has created a show that has everything a superhero fanboy could generally ask for – nail-biting tension, believable characters, relatable supervillains and a grounded approach to vigilantism, one that does not border on preaching what is good and should always be done and what is wrong and should never be done. The Arrow is the first show to explore the grey area of superheroism.

To say Green Arrow is the best superhero out there will be an overstatement. The Green Arrow may not be the greatest superhero ever but he is by far the most relatable. He has a moral code but it is broken. He has a bright future but he also is haunted by a bleak past. He has good intentions but is forced to take the wrong way to fulfill them. Oliver Queen is not the hero the Arrowverse deserve but he is the hero it needs right now.

Throughout his lifetime, Oliver has fought with a plethora of deranged supervillains that could strike fear into the hearts of men and has come out alive and in one piece. He has used his skills to defeat foes so fearsome even the authorities would think twice before engaging them.

Oliver Queen is the Man without Fear of the Arrowverse. He takes on bad guys twice his size but always comes out victorious. He has made sacrifices for the good of the city that no one could even fathom.

In Season 1, Oliver came back from Lian Yu to encounter Malcolm Merlyn and the secretive group his parents were also a part of that Merlyn led. Merlyn managed to kill a lot of innocents before Oliver defeated him. But Oliver had to give up Tommy, his best friend who died in the ensuing chaos. In season 2, Oliver encountered a demon from his past that killed his mother and almost killed Oliver himself. Deathstroke was a guy not to be trifled with. In Season 3 and Season 4, Damian Darhk and Ra’s Al Ghul managed to make their mark and pick apart Oliver’s life bit by bit as he watched helplessly until he managed to defeat them both as well.

In season 5, Prometheus showed Oliver what he feared the most – Oliver was a true murderer. He took away Oliver’s most prized possession from him. Oliver lost his soul to Prometheus and he still managed to defeat the latter.

So when a gang of villains now stood to destroy everything that Oliver has fought so hard for and so long in Season 6, it is only natural that fans worry that something way too sinister may be in store for the Green Arrow. Our greatest fear has come true. Oliver is going to be forced to fight one of his own teammates to the death to satisfy Cayden James’ demented crusade to take down Oliver Queen for good.

The next episode of Arrow teases a big fight between Black Canary and the Green Arrow.

After the revelations of the midseason finale episode, Dinah, Curtis, and Rene end up leaving Team Arrow. But they are still vigilantes through and through and they too intend to protect their city like the Green Arrow does. This will certainly lead to a fight among Oliver and his former teammates when the all of them will have conflicting interests.

The Midseason Episode Synopsis reads as follows:

Arrow

ARROW “All for Nothing” OLIVER AND DINAH FACE OFF — Oliver (Stephen Amell) continues his battle with Cayden James (guest star Michael Emerson). Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) and Oliver have a major disagreement that endangers the life of one of their own. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Oscar Balderrama (#612). Original airdate 2/1/2018.

Dinah is no more in Team Arrow. But Vigilante is still someone she intends to save from harm. This will most certainly lead to an interesting scenario. One where the former protégés will take on their one and only mentor as each thinks they are doing the right thing.

It will be really interesting to see Dinah, Rene, and Curtis on one side and Oliver on the other. Who will win? Who will lose? What is Cayden James’ agenda? What’s gonna happen next?!?!?! Too many questions!!!!!!!!

8 Reasons Why DCEU Flash Is Better Than CW Flash

When the Justice League movie was announced, one of the biggest challenges for that movie that we knew was surely the portrayal of The Flash. Since a version of The Flash was already out on TV and was very well established. In order to top that, Justice League had to deliver something very unique and different, and they almost did.

Here’s why the DCEU version was better than the CW version.

Not As Dramatic

The movie version was fun, and even though he also has the agenda to get his father out of prison, he’s still not as dramatic about that fact or grounded in the reality of the universe. Miller’s version is more outgoing, less emotional about the problems that exist in his life.

While the TV version used to be fun loving and joyful, but as his time passed he became more focused on catching the murderer of his mother and became depressed and dramatic. He is carrying emotional baggage all the time and conveys his deep feelings to his close friends, sometimes his superhero persona comes under the weight of complexity of Barry’s life problems.

Costume

The costume of the movie version was an instant hit ever since it first showed up. With a higher budget for the movie, we always expected a tactical, battle ready suit which would help Flash overcome major attacks.

The TV costume, on the other hand, is just simple leather and textures. They could not do better due to the limited budget they had but still, you’ve got to give it to the TV version. In each season, upgrades have been installed by Cisco which increased the efficacy of the suit but also made it vulnerable. For instance, in the current season when Flash went to fight against a meta-human who can control any tech, it ended up giving the control of the suit to the bad guy risking the life of Barry.

Figuring Out His Place In The World

Miller’s Flash is discovering who he is and what he can do. He has not been in any real fights, has little experience being a hero and even working hard to get a CSI’s job. He has got so much time to explore himself, given time, the DCEU Flash has the potential to become the comic accurate Flash we deserve.

Gustin’s Flash was always focused on the ultimate goal, finding out the “Man in a Yellow Mask” who murdered his mother. Everything he did revolve around that, even when he was not the Flash. His only mission in life was to save his mother whatever it takes, but when he did save her, he ended up creating Flashpoint.

More Compelling

In DCEU’s Flash, he is the least experienced member of Justice League in combat. His talk with Batman about saving just one was pretty meaningful and moving, and it helped in his superhero character development.

CW’s Flash sure did have some moving moments, but most of the times the show tried to create something dramatic around Barry’s life, everything fell flat on their face. In terms of emotional aspect, the show is hit or miss. The show has been accused of dragging the narrative as it wants a resolution of Barry’s thousand issues while other characters are mere spectators.

Use of Lightning

The movie version instead was pretty resourceful with lightning. He knew what he could do and used it to charge the mother box while Superman’s resurrection. He used it even for a small thing like lighting a little cracker during the race at the end. So, he seems to think more critically in dire situations and exhaust every possible option.

The TV Flash does not use the lightning he possesses very well. Sure he did learn to throw lightning bolts after a while but he doesn’t even use a lot. He uses his lightning powers only when he is up against a deadly force and runs out of all other options.

Learning What It Means To Be A Hero

Every superhero has to go through their own arc and experiences to learn what it means to them to be a superhero. Miller’s Flash is still not a proper Superhero, but we do get to see him learning the true meaning of being one. He plays the supporting role in all the JL fights and saves innocent people.

Gustin’s Flash seems to have never learned that lesson as he constantly keeps doing things that he know he is not supposed to do. He knew what the ramifications of altering the past could be, but still, he went back in time and saved his mom.

Sense of Speed

Every time Flash is about to run, lightning comes off of him before he zooms off into the distance. We see buildings and scenery zoom past him as he speeds through each scenario, and there is a real sense of power and speed along with it. Time slows down to a halt when he moves, and the payoff was when he would share some of that with Superman.

Well, we cannot blame the TV version much for this because they have done pretty well mostly to showcase the speed of the Flash. But in some instances were God-awful considering the CGI, whereas, with a bigger budget, the movie makes all the difference.

Classical Portrayal

flash

The Flash is always considered to be the jokester in the league, using his speed and high IQ to crack a few jokes here and there. Ezra Miller’s Flash excels in this department and gives us a taste of this more excited Flash who’s just ready to have super friends and save the world from destruction.

The CW’s version is closer to classic portrayal of Flash. Grant Gustin’s Flash started off being the fun loving guy, a cool boyfriend in the beginning but he turned into a very serious person as he lost both his parents and suffered emotional trauma as a result of it. His mother was killed by Reverse Flash while his father Henry Allen was murdered by Zoom in front of him.

10 Major DC Characters You Didn’t Realize Already Appeared In DC’s TV Shows

There are a lot of superheroes and supervillains that the DC TV shows have given us, but still, there are a whole lot of them, whose presence has been depicted, but not fully. Here is a list of them all:

Accelerated man

Accelerated Man has already appeared in the Arrowverse. He is the Flash of earth 19. We see him in the episode “Attack on the central city” where he runs and leaves a purple lightning in his path. Though he was shown in a split second moment, yeah, still it was good to have him on the show.

Connor Hawke

Connor Hawke is the son of the Green Arrow and Sandra Hawke, his mother told him that he is an illegitimate kid, Hawke then takes after his father’s Mantle of the green arrow. The character could be seen in legends of tomorrow in the episode Star City 2046.

Firefly

Garfield Lynns is one of Gotham’s best pyrotechnic experts. He then after leading a life in poverty goes towards crime. The character was shown in Arrow but had a really poor adaptation, it is highly doubtful that we will be able to see him again but we sure hope so.

Aquaman

Of course, if a big name such as Aquaman was taken on the Arrowverse, we would have known sure his name has not been taken but a lot of reference to the city of Atlantis has been made even Hunter Zolomon said that one of his good friends lives there. And after seeing Jason Momoa play the character so well, we sure want to have more of him even on TV.

Doctor Fate

Of course, we all know who doctor fate is. we got to know that he is one of the most powerful Sorcerers of the DC Comics. He gets his powers from the helmet, wherein resides the spirit of Nabu, who himself was one of the most powerful sorcerers, that helmet was seen in the opening episode of NBC’s Constantine.

Wonder Woman

This is one of the biggest Easter Eggs that have ever been given on the Arrowverse. In the episode welcome to earth 2 in the Flash we can see that a telephone number has a lot of contacts on it. Some of those are of Supergirl Green Arrow, Diana Bruce Wayne, and even Hal Jordan, whose presence eagerly awaited in the DC films too.

Ted Kord

Ted Kord is one of the b list characters of the DC Comics he is the second person that takes the Mantle of blue Beetle this he does after he is requested by his archaeology teacher Dan Garrett. Ted Kord rebuilds his company after his mother’s death and father’s  depression and in the episode undertaking, Robert and Moira Queens can be seen at his fundraiser.  there have been more than a few references to him being a part of the Arrowverse,  this can be seen by Kord company’s banners coming again and again to the shows.

Harley Quinn

Before suicide squad happened, in 2014 we saw that in Arrow that Diggle and Lyla were arguing about a lot of things that A.R.G.U.S. did amongst which there was one trained psychiatrist who looks like Harley Quinn from the back. Sure we would love to see the trio of Black Canary, Oliver Queen as well as Harley Quinn on the show. (Injustice Feels).

Joker

Of course, we know about such a big villain who killed 5 million people in Metropolis, if he was there in the Arrowverse we would have known but seeing that we already have an allusion of Harley Quinn so it won’t be wrong to say that we might be getting the Joker soon on the Arrowverse.

Batman

dc

Of course when we have Harley Quin as well as the Joker, so Batman is sure to be on the Arrowverse but that is not the only reference that we have had. In a headline that is shown in the flash, it read, ” Wayne Tech/ Queen Inc merger complete” that shows that there is Batman in the arrow was also rip Hunter says ” I have seen Man of Steel die and dark knights fall”, saying that Batman is there in the Arrowverse. If that is not enough, in this season of Arrow, Ollie even came out saying that has Bruce Wayne left Gotham? What could be clearer?

The Flash: DCEU vs CW’s Comparison

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you’re probably well aware of the endless march onwards in the world of comic franchises. In recent years, these characters have once again returned to the small screen, after dominating cinema for over a decade. The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) is, as usual, in eternal combat with Disney-owned Marvel. Their most recent blockbuster, Justice League, has introduced the audience to a character that has featured in the comics for some time: The Flash. He also has a show on the CW, a fairly popular network these days, just like casino games. How do the characters compare?

DCEU Flash Drops the Drama

The CW Flash was initially intended as something of a light-hearted romp. Ever since Nolan’s Batman made comics something serious, many viewers have been waiting for things to become a bit less overly dramatic. While CW Flash initially promised this, it didn’t take long before the writers were trotting out standard shlock that aimed at the heartstrings. We’re glad to see that DCEU has gone a more upbeat route. While it’s undeniable that the DC and Marvel universes both have ample room for genuine issues and drama, they are definitely at their best when they take a day off and have a little fun.

DCEU Flash Has to Find His Feet

CW Flash was an assertive character from the get-go. He knew what he wanted, and the audience saw a limited amount of character growth. With DCEU, they had a bit more fun making him something of a relatable character. The progress from an awkward youth to a superhero is a well-trodden and enjoyable one. DCEU gave us a fun retelling of a familiar story that added some much-needed depth to the character. They also gave us the enjoyment of watching Flash come to terms with the fact that, if he doesn’t want to die, he has to learn to fight (and don’t miss the enjoyment at vogueplay.com/dk/). It’s not often that you see superheroes acting in the kind of frightened, cowardly way most of us would act in real life. Nice touch, DCEU Flash, nice touch.

CW’s The Flash Episodes Have the Science to Back Them Up

The Flash episodes went the extra mile in investigating some of the scientific possibilities surrounding the character. They looked at the actual physics of his preternatural speed, giving the audience the standard half hokum, half logic explanations that make an enjoyable padding for any show. DCEU’s Justice League, presumably pressed for time, had to ditch some of the more interesting potential theorizings. It’s not a massive loss, but enough for us to give CW a thumbs up for the extra effort.

flash

All in all, there’s not that huge an amount of differences between the two. It’s obvious that, in each case, the producers are working within the confines of their chosen medium. DCEU’s character is one of a number of characters in the film and naturally has limitations. CW, meanwhile, is free to do what they want with their sole character. As far as actors go, DCEU’s the Flash cast Ezra Miller in the role, doing a superb job, while CW Flash went with Grant Gustin. Both talented actors, up to the task.

Which Arrowverse Superhero Will Be The New Member of Legends of Tomorrow

Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 is on a roll of a season. After defeating Vandal Savage in a not so spectacular season 1 and beating the Legion of Doom in a lackluster season 2, the season 3 has shown promise to finally keep the audience hooked to their seats. The legends were not as popular as the other arrowverse superheroes like The Green Arrow or The Flash, but after two seasons and an ensemble TV cast, they have finally broken the curse of mediocrity that was threatening to creep in.

As with each year in the Arrowverse, crossovers are a must. The ever-growing TV universe of The CW network has had major yearly events where all the superheroes from all the shows gather together and unite to stop a common foe too big for just one of them to handle. Last year’s Invasion! Arc was a sight for sore eyes. The CGI and the plot and the action sequences were too good. But this year’s Crossover Crisis on Earth X has managed to topple last year’s TRP juggernaut.

Crisis on Earth X saw Oliver Queen, Barry Allen, Kara Danvers and the Legends face off against an alternate dimension earth called Earth X where Nazis won World War 2 and now aim to conquer the mainstream Earth. Hitler of Earth X is dead and the ruling council of that Earth now involves the Reverse Flash, Earth X’s Evil Oliver Queen and an Evil counterpart of Supergirl.

Several twists and turns follow and more characters return and even more introduced into the arrowverse. But it was one character whose departure left a gaping hole in the Arrowverse fan base’s chest – The death and eventual departure of Martin Stein, the one half of the nuclear-powered superhero Firestorm.

Victor Garber’s character departed from the Legends of Tomorrow for good and left Jefferson with a lot of regret in episode 9 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 3. In that very episode, he decided to leave the team and find new purpose in life, now that Martin is gone.

His departure left the group sand and with a vacancy. With Damian Darhk, his daughter Nora and the looming threat of the Big Bad Mallus over the Horizon, the Legends need to be at their full strength to tackle the threats. With dwindling numbers and ranks, it will be extremely difficult to save the timeline for Sarah and co to beat the bad guys.

arrowverse

What is the solution, you ask? A new membership drive of course. There are a ton of superheroes that are now ‘free’ to join the legends in their time traveling adventures. Two spots have been left vacant. Arrowverse showrunner Mark Guggenheim claims the heroes joining the fray would be someone we already know. Although he was not charitable enough to give off any hints, it won’t stop us from doing our own bit of speculation.

Here are some of the most likely candidates to join the Legends of Tomorrow:

John Constantine

The foul-mouthed British wizard with a knack for trouble has already been a hit amongst the fans in his own TV Show. But the show was abruptly canceled midseason and leading the fans to an uproar. John Constantine had only made guest appearances in The Arrow later on. His magical expertise will be a good weapon for the Legends to use against Mallus.

Kid Flash

The Flash TV Show did not do Wally West enough Justice. The Comic Books portray him as one of the most fan-favorite Flashes of DC universe. The show gave Wally powers but none of the spotlight. With Wally returning to Blue Valley and almost out of The Flash TV Show, could the Legends recruit him into their crew?

The Ray

The Ray is a superhero from Earth X that was introduced into the arrowverse in the recent crossover arc. Hi-light manipulation abilities and his wacky set of abilities, not to mention his homosexuality, could be a welcome addition to the Legends shrinking character sets.

Miss Martian

She was introduced in the second season of Supergirl but as nothing more than a love interest to Martian Manhunter. The Legends could recruit her into their team. Her martian abilities and her alien heritage would make her a good addition to a team of outcasts.

Roy Harper

The only true fighter in the group is Sarah Lance. The team could use some more of the action sequences. Roy Harper, as Arsenal, has had plenty of experience in the ass kicking area in The Arrow TV Show. His archery skills and close combat experience would be something that the Legends could find handy.

Red Tornado

We are not talking about the crappy one from Supergirl that was just pure ugly. The one we would like to join the Legends is the Earth X version. A Pure CGI Red Tornado would be too much to ask for a TV Show but it would sure be a treat to watch Earth X’s Red Tornado swirl and twirl the villains with his artificial tornadoes and save the day.

The Crossover made it look like the Red Tornado android was destroyed. But nothing, not even death, is permanent when you have a time-traveling ship in your hands.

Two Huge Characters Have Been Considered For CW’s Arrow

Arrow is CW’s golden goose at the moment. It paved way for the vast Arrowverse consisting of a list of other shows and thus establishing a rating juggernaut for the network. Oliver Queen is the legend that can be credited with starting it all.

Stephen Amell’s phenomenal portrayal of the vulnerable but tough Oliver Queen won the hearts of TV viewers all the way. After six seasons of utter awesomeness, rumors are starting to float that could make the Arrowverse even better than it already is.

The Arrowverse has helped introduce and popularize superheroes and characters that were nonexistent or extremely less known to have a superhero career on the small screen. Elongated Man aka Ralph Dibny, Gypsy, Vibe, Vixen, Wild Dog and Killer Frost are all prominent superheroes of the Arrowverse.

It helped introduce fan-favorite characters like Felicity Smoak and Jon Diggle who were later incorporated into the comic books. But that is not all. The news is the Arrowverse is set to include two more superheroes. And they are not nobodies like the rest used to be in the comic books. The two superheroes are well known and are a popular duo in DC Comics.

Booster Gold and Blue Beetle are being considered for CW’ Arrow TV Show.

Booster Gold is a superhero that made his debut into the DC comics in 1986. His real name is Michael Jon Carter and he originally belongs to the 25th Century. Michael was originally a janitor in a museum that housed a lot of trivia from the golden era of superheroes of the past.

After discovering a working time machine, he travels back in time with a ton of stolen gadgets and knowledge of the future to become the superhero Booster Gold. His Original objective was seeking fame, wealth and glory. But later arcs saw his character develop into a more mature version of himself. One that started to sincerely care for the well being of innocents.

Booster Gold is easily one of the fan favorite members of the Justice League. He brings in a lot of humor along with his mighty powers and that is surely what the DCEU needs right now.

He has been a member of Justice League, Time Masters, Extreme Justice, Super Buddies, and Conglomerate. Skeets is his robotic side-kick with whom he has had many adventures.

In the debut season of Legends of Tomorrow, when Patrick J. Adams a.k.a Mike Ross from USA network “SUITS” teased to appear in the finale of Legends of Tomorrow, fans of Booster Gold latched onto the news and speculated that he could be playing time-travelling ex-athlete turned security guard, “a beloved superhero from the DC canon” boasting “a mysterious past and equally mysterious agenda”. But he turned out to be none other than Rex Tyler from Justice Society of America.

Blue Beetle has had many incarnations since his inception. The most recent one is Jamie Reyes. A teenager who is bonded with an alien scarab that gives him a host of abilities like weapon conjuring and flight. Dan Garrett was also a popular version of the Blue Beetle but the most famous one was Ted Kord.

Ted Kord, the original Blue Beetle, is pretty much like Batman. Ted Kord is a billionaire with a Genius IQ who decides to use his intellect to create several gadgets and become the Blue Beetle.

Well, in the CW’s Arrow, Ted Kord was supposed to be the key character but later the plans were shelved. He hosted a big fundraiser which was attended by Robert and Moira Queen. In DC’s multi-verse, Ted Kord is the second guy to take up the mantle of Blue Beetle, the first one was Dan Garret and the third one being Jaime Reyes.

In the comics, the egoistic Booster Gold and the Grounded Blue Beetle become the best of friends and have several well-known adventures together. They have several stories from the 1980s and 1990s where Booster and beetle work together to foil the Bad guys’ plans.

The tone of their dynamic and the duo’s comic interactions are the reason they could be a perfect fit for The Arrow TV Show. In a recent ACE Comic Session at Long Island, Arrow showrunner Mark Guggenheim was asked by a fan if Blue and Gold are being considered for introductu\ion into the Arrow or any of the other Arrowverse shows. He had this to say:

“I will say, both those characters [Booster Gold and Blue Beetle] are characters we’ve talked about. Originally Ray Palmer, who was introduced on Arrow, he was supposed to be Ted Kord and we went another way. So, you know, Booster and Blue Beetle, all the ‘B’ characters really, we’re always talking about but nothing I can announce or speak to at the moment.”

arrow

It is now known that the Atom was a last minute replacement into the Arrowverse. The original guy to have taken his place was Blue Beetle himself. Brandon Routh as the atom was chosen when Ted Kord couldn’t be roped in. But Ted Kord and Kord industries have been mentioned several times in The Arrow.

Moreover Rip Hunter, in the comic books, is actually the future son of Blue Beetle and later becomes the latter’s mentor after traveling to the past.

Considering Guggenheim had such a ready and definite answer to such an out of the blue question, I believe it is safe to say that Booster Gold and Blue Beetle are very much on Arrowverse’s radar. There were talks of Booster Gold’s standalone movie and even a Blue-Gold buddy superhero movie in the DCEU.

According to sources, Warner Bros. is now developing a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle team-up film, which is being described as “a superhero buddy cop movie.” It will not be a part of the DCEU but it could well be one of the funniest DC movies we have ever seen.

Moreover, both Booster Gold and Blue Beetle have appeared in Season 10 of Smallville. So there eventual debut into the small screen with the arrowverse is not out of the question.

Will Kid Flash Cross Paths Deathstroke’s Daughter

The Kid Flash, Wally West who was a series regular in the third season of The Flash has taken a short break from the fourth season of the CW show. A few episodes ago, Wally told his friends and family that he needed a break and he is moving to Blue Valley. If you are an ardent DC comic book reader, then the name Blue Valley will bring tons of memories back to you because it is the actual hometown of the comic version of Wally West. It was pretty evident that show creators will be concentrating more on Barry and Iris this season, which means that they were planning to slide Wally to the background for a while. It seemed that the show creators had no clear idea on how to use the Kid Flash character in the show, as Wally who was one of the most prominent speedsters in the history of DC Comics was sidelined.

However, things have changed now and the subtle hints, name drops, and teases indicate that the creators are planning to develop a new character arc for Kid Flash. The sad part is that this might not happen on The Flash instead it might happen on the newly announced DC show Teen Titans.

During the crossover episodes of last week, Wally did come to Central City for the wedding of Iris and Barry Allen but due to the invasion of Nazis from Earth-X, the wedding was called off. We all expected that Wally would stick around for the fight but Barry asked Wally to keep his family safe and that was the last we saw of Wally.

Fans speculated that the Kid Flash had gone back to Blue Valley but in the last episode of the Flash, the show creators confirmed that Wally is not in Blue Valley instead he is in Cambodia.

Harry asks about the whereabouts of Wally to Joe in the mid-season finale of The Flash. Joe West replied that his son couldn’t make it to the Christmas celebrations,  since Wally is currently “Cambodia.”

Fans and viewers of The Flash will be probably wondering whether Cambodia has any sort of significance to Kid Flash or to the DC universe. The short answer to this question is a subtle yes, as Cambodia is connected to Deathstroke’s daughter, Rose Wilson, Rose, who goes by the name; Ravager was also a member of the Teen Titans. Slade was once tasked with the task of smuggling Lillian, Rose’s mother from a war-torn Cambodia.

We still have no official confirmation that Keiynan Lonsdale will reprise his role of Wally West in the Teen Titans show. Since Wally’s role in The Flash seems to be shrinking; we can expect that the show creators are planning something big for the DC superhero, who was also a member of Teen Titans.

If the show creators of the Flash are continuing to drop references to Wally and other members of Teen Titans, then it may be because they are working for a team up of these superheroes or for something else.

However, we still have to patiently wait for official confirmation to comment further on the topic. So, let’s just move to Rose Wilson and see how she comes into the picture. If you are new to the world of DC comic books and if you have only watched the CW DC superhero shows, you might be wondering who is Rose Wilson and why wasn’t she mentioned in the Arrow.

This is because Slade Wilson/Deathstroke didn’t know that he had a daughter for a very long time. Slade was once asked to escort a woman across a hostile border, who he develops an affair with during the journey.

The woman finally gave birth to Rose after Slade left her. However, years later, Slade goes in search of her and introduce her to his world of violence by brainwashing and manipulating her.

Gradually, Rose realizes the truth about her father and joins the Teen Titans to feet against the evil prevailing in the society. So, this might mean that the Kid Flash and Ravager will soon cross paths with one another. If that’s a yes, then special shout out to the creators of The Flash, as they have set up a way to unite Wally with the Teen Titans.

Team Flash, Arrow, Legends and Supergirl Vs 4 DC Supervillains and 1 Superhero

CW network is a paradise for DC superhero lovers. It has brought alive four major shows namely: Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. The DC fans are super excited as the annual gala event on CW i.e mega crossover between four major shows – Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl which is less than a week away.

Last time, the crossover storyline was based on the comic-book plot of Super Friends coming together to fight the Dominators, a technologically advanced alien race hell-bent on destroying the potential threat of Earth’s meta-humans. It was officially kicked off in Supergirl, came into its full avatar in the Flash episode titled “Invasion”, continued in the special Arrow 100th episode and ended in Legends of Tomorrow. This time the Arrowverse superheroes are up against a bunch of bad guys on Earth-X.

The CW has already revealed the theme of the crossover on social media i.e Crisis on Earth X through a poster designed by legendary Wonder Woman artist Phil Jimenez. The story will revolve around how the rogue versions of superheroes and villains crash the wedding party of Barry Allen and Iris West. It will be grander, deadlier and stakes will be higher.

The new illustrated poster has revealed that the massive showdown will happen between Team Flash, Team Arrow, Legends, Supergirl against four known adversaries namely Prometheus, Reverse Flash, Overgirl, Metallo and DC superhero Red Tornado.

Metallo was introduced in Supergirl season 2 and it was very weak and forgettable bad guy. The show-makers heard the cries of Metallo fans and his Earth-X version is full AI unlike Supergirl’s half human version who was easily taken down. Red Tornado was briefly introduced in Supergirl season 1 episode titled “Red Faced” and android was shown destroyed and never came up again. He is a villain on Earth-X but in comics he is a good guy.

He was created as a force against the Justice League but he redeemed himself and embraced human alter-ego. It is possible that in the crossover, he will betray the villains and become force for good and officially join Arrowverse.

One of the evil villains who will be making a comeback is Earth-X version of Prometheus but it will not be played by Josh Segarra. In Arrow season 5, the show deliberately decided to do away with supernatural villains and instead chose a man who is D.A. of Star city and is out to avenge his father killed by Arrow in cold blood.

Prometheus literally turned the world of Green Arrow upside down and broke him both physically and mentally. He has made Oliver’s son William believe that his father is a bad man, as shown in the new Arrow trailer.

In the season 5 finale, Prometheus killed himself which led to multiple explosions on the Lian Yu causing death and destruction of seemingly everyone. He is clearly dead so the question is who could be Earth X Prometheus. In the season, Prometheus was always behind the mask and the most common theory about his identity was that he was a figure from Oliver’s past. It turned out to be Chase, so now fans are speculating that it could be Roy Harper on Earth-X as the actor Colton Haynes has also signaled his return to the show.

Recently, it was confirmed that Barry Allen- Iris West is’nt the only couple who will get married, another high profile couple of Arrorverse will tie the knot – Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Yes, you read it right. A set photo has revealed that CW Crossover is pulling off double wedding with Diggle standing by their side.

In DC Comics, Earth X is a parallel world set in pre-crisis multiverse where German won the World War II which forces the freedom fighters to wage a war against the Nazis. In the upcoming CW Seed animated feature Freedom Fighters: The Ray, we will learn more about the evil versions of our favorite superhero characters.

According to TVLine, Russell Tovey (Quantico fame) will be playing the character of Ray in live-action as he is also the voice of the character in animated version. His character description goes like this:

“Raymond “Ray” Terrill was a reporter who discovered a group of government scientists working on a secret project to turn light into a weapon of mass destruction. But before he could report on his findings, the project head exposed Ray to a “genetic light bomb.” The bomb failed to kill him and instead gifted Ray with light-based powers. With these abilities, Ray realized he could go beyond reporting on injustice — he could take action to help stop it. Calling himself The Ray, he was recruited by Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters to fight violence and oppression wherever it exists.”

There are two promos that have been released till now by CW ahead of 4-way crossover.

The first promo is very brief but gave insight on what to expect from the upcoming crossover event. We can see Green Arrow leading the team comprising of The Flash, White Canary, Supergirl and Alex Danvers through the corridor of Star Labs on Earth-1. Most of the action will take place on Earth-X given the title itself. It is for the first time we see Alex in crossover, she was missing last time so it would be fun to see her interact with members of Team Flash, Team Arrow and Legends.

In the second teaser, the villains on Earth-X have been revealed. We can see an evil Flash, Nazi Supergirl and Arrow. We got a closer look at Nazi Oliver Queen pointing a Luger at someone; snippets of Cisco wearing formal dress before something blows up in the background. There is an intimate hug being thrown into the mix and then finally heroes lining up behind White canary, Alex Danvers and Kid Flash.

Here’s the official synopsis of CW crossover event:

“Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world.”

dc

The CW is going all guns blazing to make this year’s crossover bigger and better than last years’ which was a high-octane action adventure. The crossover will begin with Supergirl and Arrow on November 27 and concludes with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on November 28.

10 Most Badass Fight Scenes From The Arrowverse

The Arrowverse has gifted us with supervillains as equally epic as the superheroes who foil their plans. Not often do we see both sides take matters into their own hands and duke it out. Every season of each show has given us a fight of the century – the Bad guy takes on the good guy as they lay bare their fists to end it once and for all. Here are the most Badass moments from the Arrowverse when the hero and the villain decide enough is enough!!!

The Flash vs. The Man in Yellow Suit

It’s been a while since Harrison Wells donned the Reverse Flash Costume and gave Barry (literally) a run for his money. After Barry sees Reverse Flash on a rooftop, he gives chase. After several flashes of red and yellow lightning, Barry Allen bites the dust. He is just not fast enough.

Oliver Queen vs. Malcolm Merlyn aka Ra’s Al Ghul

After the end of Season 3, Ra’s is defeated and Merlyn assumes the mantle of the Demon’s head. Thea is possessed by insane bloodlust and Nyssa offers a cure to Oliver if he kills Malcolm in combat. Malcom and Oliver fight to the death on a rooftop for the position of the Demon’s head with Merlyn defeated and left with one severed hand.

Superman vs. Supergirl

The season 2 finale of Supergirl pits Clark Kent against Kara Danvers. Under the influence of Queen Rhea’s silver kryptonite, Superman hallucinates and sees Kara as General Zod. As National City watches helplessly, Supergirl gets a beatdown of her lifetime until she manages to fight back. At the end, Superman is defeated and Supergirl is now the greatest champion on Earth.

Green Arrow vs. Prometheus

In the episode Checkmate, Team Arrow finds itself crossing paths with Adrian Chase, having uncovered his identity as Prometheus. As Oliver tries to make him surrender using Adrian’s wife as leverage, Adrian does the unthinkable and stabs his better half himself. As Diggle whisks away Mrs. Chase to safety, Green Arrow and Prometheus trade blow in a high stakes fight.

Arrow vs. Deathstroke

Felicity Smoak manages to trick Slade and inject him with the Mirakuru cure thus rendering him human again. As the fight is evened out, Slade attacks Oliver with Killing intent. Oliver manages to subdue Slade with a trick arrow. But much to Slade’s surprise, Oliver does not kill him in retaliation for Slade killing Oliver’s mother. Oliver turns Slade to the authorities.

Legends of Tomorrow vs. Legion of Doom

The season 2 finale of Legends was a blast of utter awesomeness. The legion was too much for the Legends to handle but they still managed to keep up. But with a speedster in their midst, the Legion seemed unstoppable. So Sara Lance helped even the odds by freeing the Black Flash. The whole fight was one giant mess of time travel and CGI which we all loved to the core.

Legends vs. Damien Darhk 2.0

The season 3 of Legends just might be the best of the lot. It has got the heroes, interactive dynamics and humor along with the CGI to top it off. One such phenomenal product when all the ingredients mix in to give the perfect taste is when Damien Darhk is resurrected by the followers of Mallus. The resulting fight between the latter’s forces and the Legends and the Time Bureau on the other side does not only have good action choreography but also a tinge of much-needed humor. Who could forget that background score!!!!!

Savitar vs. The Flash

Jesus Christ this kid is so not the fastest man alive. Every season there comes a villain to prove him wrong over and over again. At the end of Episode 6 of The Flash season 3, Savitar finally comes out of the shadows. He beats Barry to a pulp and leaves him in the middle of the city. Barry has his pride completely broken. Savitar rules this fight.

The Flash vs. Zoom

Zoom is one hell of a villain. He is the only villain other than Reverse Flash who got inside Barry’s skin. He made him realize how weak he is in front of the speed demon quite early. Zoom drags Barry out of Star Labs and beats him right in front of the Central City residents. The very people who championed him are taken aback.

Deathstroke vs. The Jackals

Arrowverse

No fighter can possibly be as epic and badass as the freaking Deathstroke!!! He is ruthless and brutal. So when a mercenary group called The Jackals kidnap his only son, Slade Wilson loses his cool. And God forbid if anyone stands in his way. He cuts through the Jackals like a hot knife through butter. As bodies pile up, viewers can’t help but gawk as the one-eyed angel of death dances through the chaos.

Crisis On Earth-X Crossover Brings In More Than 20 Superheroes Into The Arrowverse

CW network is a paradise for DC superhero lovers. It has brought alive four major shows namely: Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. The DC fans are super excited as the annual gala event on CW i.e mega crossover between four major shows – Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl is less than a week away.

Crisis on Earth X is about to hit the screens, ladies, and gentlemen. And it is gonna be one hell of a ride. Last year the Dominator arc put our heroes in the crosshairs of an alien invasion. Viewers were struck with awe as our beloved heroes of the Arrowverse were caught in the crossfire of the Dominators’ alien armada. While the heroes somehow managed to deal with the threat in the previous crossover, Can they do it again? Maybe it was all just beginner’s luck eh?

It was a threat from an advanced extra-terrestrial civilization from another planet that brought our heroes together. The Dominators came to Earth looking for Barry Allen and to make him pay for the mess of a timeline he created when he undid reality to establish Flashpoint. The aliens were dealt with after a long and gruesome fiasco. Yeah, you heard it, this time the threat is not from outer space. It’s from a fucking alternate reality!!

In case you guys still are not aware of the multiverse concept, let us enlighten you. The universe we are in is not alone. There are infinite variations of it. Infinite realities, Infinite worlds, Infinite possibilities.

Recently, it was confirmed that Barry Allen- Iris West isn’t the only couple who will get married, another high profile couple of Arrorverse will tie the knot – Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Yes, you read it right. A set photo has revealed that CW Crossover is pulling off a double wedding with Diggle standing by their side.

The attack comes from Earth X – an alternate reality earth where Germany went to win the World War 2 against the allies. As s result, the world is now a Nazi-controlled planet with our mainstream Arrowverse heroes’ doppelgangers having turned evil and now help further the Nazi cause of total domination. Superheroes don’t exist on Earth X. Period.

In the upcoming CW Seed animated feature Freedom Fighters: The Ray, we will learn more about the evil versions of our favorite superhero characters.

According to TVLine, Russell Tovey (Quantico fame) will be playing the character of Ray in live-action as he is also the voice of the character in an animated version.

It is for the first time we see Alex in the crossover, she was missing last time so it would be fun to see her interact with members of Team Flash, Team Arrow, and Legends.

While the heroes and their Earth X counterparts are ready to fight it out in a grand tag team match of mayhem, we have good news (for the fans, not the heroes). An entire plethora of evil superheroes will be fighting for team Earth X. Crisis on Earth X will put our heroes against a truly sinister crew hell-bent on destroying everything the heroes care about. A new poster released by The CW reveals who’s who of the new crossover.

The new illustrated poster has revealed that the massive showdown will happen between Team Flash, Team Arrow, Legends, Supergirl against four known adversaries namely Prometheus, Reverse Flash, Overgirl, Metallo and DC superhero Red Tornado. Red Tornado is joined by an all-metal Metallo. Supergirl’s evil counterpart Overgirl is also present. Reverse Flash is back with a cool new speedster suit. Prometheus returns as Prometheus X of Earth X. Apart from Prometheus, another archer also plays for the guest team. An evil Green Arrow version is seen fighting the superheroes of this Earth.

Metallo was introduced in Supergirl season 2 and it was very weak and forgettable bad guy. The show-makers heard the cries of Metallo fans and his Earth-X version is full AI, unlike Supergirl’s half human version who was easily taken down. Red Tornado was briefly introduced in Supergirl season 1 episode titled “Red Faced” and android was shown destroyed and never came up again. He is a villain on Earth-X but in comics, he is a good guy. He was created as a force against the Justice League but he redeemed himself and embraced human alter-ego. Prometheus literally turned the world of Green Arrow upside down and broke him both physically and mentally.

The Earth X villains face off against Supergirl, the Green Arrow, the Flash, White Canary, Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific and the Atom in the poster. While it is unconfirmed if more heroes from the Arrowverse have evil versions of themselves lurking around in Planet Nazi, the ones seen in the poster are confirmed to appear and make life hell for the good guys.

What stood out in the Dominator invasion arc was the awesome comic interaction between the different superheroes. Can the Legends of Tomorrow, The Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash bring back the same magic they did one year ago? With the heroes had already met, will the dynamics be any different? Will the quirkiness of Kara annoy the stoic nature of Oliver? Will the Flash’ cautiousness get the better of the wild bunch that is the Legends?

The previous crossover did not just score an A in CGI, humor and action sequences but also in comic book accuracy and an engaging plotline. We hope when the baddies of earth x clash with the good guys, interesting encounters do cometh.

arrowverse

The official synopsis of the upcoming crossover reads:

Barry and Iris’s wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold, The Ray, Felicity Smoak, Iris West and Alex Danvers to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and White Canary – lead their teams into battle to save the world.

The CW is going all guns blazing to make this year’s crossover bigger and better than last years’ which was a high-octane action adventure. The CW’s Crisis on Earth X crossover begins on November 27 with Supergirl and The Arrow and ends on November 28 with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrowverse’s Crisis On Earth X Crossover Gives Villains A Deadly Doomsday Weapon

The CW’s Arrowverse has always been a rating juggernaut. The shows of The Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and the newly added Supergirl have made us stick to our seats, eyes glued to the screens as our beloved heroes fight the evil bad guys and supervillains of comic book lore to save the day. Individually, the shows have scored a new high in the history of the small screen entertainment industry. But it’s almost a ritualistic tradition wherein every year as each season of Arrowverse starts, a crossover between the superheroes takes place as they combine forces to battle a threat to bold and powerful for a single hero to take on.  This year CW gives us the Crisis on earth X Crossover.

After the Dominators’ invasion last time which put our heroes as the last line of defense against an alien invasion onslaught, this year’s Crisis on Earth X is prepared to take it up a notch. The enemy the arrowverse faces this time does not belong to another planet but an alternate earth from an entirely different reality. And it seems like the bad guys have somewhat of a trump card to help give them an added advantage. Something to turn the tables on the good guys.

Crisis on Earth X puts the superheroes from The Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow & Supergirl in the way of their evil doppelgangers form Earth X. And if that wasn’t bad enough, to begin with, the bad guys have a doomsday weapon of sorts. A weapon probably strong enough to kill an entire planet, maybe even an entire reality if the comic books are taken as reference.

Crossovers have always been an excuse for CW to bring their A-Game. When the stoic Oliver, the enthusiastic Flash, the quirky Supergirl and the happy-go-lucky Legends come together, their interactions are a touch of pure genius. I still laugh at the Rory’s ‘I will call you skirt’ comment to Supergirl. While the previous crossover did give us a spectacle of a lifetime, Crisis on Earth X looks promising enough to up the ante even further.

Amazon’s story looks something straight out of Amazon’s acclaimed The Man in the High Castle series. Earth X is an alternate reality where the Nazis, not the allies, won World War 2. As Germany goes on to conquer the world, the lives of our heroes’s counterparts of that reality get affected. They are born evil. They don’t save the kitten from the tree or save a guy from a mugger in a dark alley. They are objects of Nazi Government propaganda and help further their cause.

The heroes….er villains from the Earth X reality include evil counterparts of heroes like Overgirl – Supergirl, Prometheus X, and an Evil Green Arrow both exist in this reality, Metallo and Red Tornado as well as an evil version of The Flash who looks awfully similar to the Reverse Flash from Season 1 of The Flash(Harrison Wells???). Martian Manhunter does not join in in this crossover.

Arrowverse

While it would be cool to see Tom Cavanagh to reprise his role as the best and most iconic villain Arrowverse has ever produced, it is still unconfirmed whether he will play the evil speedster. Prometheus X from the evil reality will be played by either Adrian Chase or Roy Harper aka Arsenal. Melissa Benoist will be literally two-timing the arrowverse this season.

The crossover has her play both as Kara Danvers aka Supergirl and Overgirl of Earth X. It will be interesting to see who wins in a fight between the two women of steel. Leonard Snart, also Known as Captain Cold, will be reprising his role as Captain Cold for the last time in this crossover (**feels**). Russell Tovey as the light energy manipulating superhero The ray will join the fight on the side of the good guys.

The official synopsis of the upcoming crossover reads :

Barry and Iris’s wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold, The Ray, Felicity Smoak, Iris West and Alex Danvers to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and White Canary – lead their teams into battle to save the world.

The CW’s Crisis on Earth X crossover begins on November 27 with Supergirl and The Arrow and ends on November 28 with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

The Flash Season 3 Concept Art Reveals Armored Suit That Never Made It To The Show

The Flash, for all its flaws, is still the progenitor of the New Age TV superheroes. Netflix may have teamed up with Marvel now but it was The Arrow and The Flash that truly popularized the genre in the small screens. The popular Arrowverse and its ever-growing fan-base owe it to The Flash for their primetime entertainment since years.

The mark of a true superhero is his suit. The color, the shape, and the design all contribute to the hero’s identity and popularity among the masses. If the suit is too shabby the hero will be termed not as a loser more than a hero. In the comics, saying the Flash has gone through quite an amount of change will be the understatement of the century. While the hardback has graced those changes with panache, the Flash suit in the TV show since 2014 has gone through it’s own personal “rebirth” each season.

For me, the personal favorite would be the season 1 suit. Not too shabby, not to bright, the perfect balance that screamed ‘A new superhero is in town’. While personal choices are one thing, some things in each reboot of the suit have had some trademark characteristics that never did change. The classic scarlet red and the lightning bolt insignia are just to name a few. These are the signature attributes that define Barry Allen, both in the show and the comics. But in arrowverse, nothing is certain after the end of a season.

A new concept art reveals that The Flash’s trademark suit characteristics could have changed drastically. The suit in question never made the cut and it’s way into the show. But the armored Flash Suit design by the artist Andy Poon could have changed the way we look at the Scarlet Speedster forever had he had his way with the show runners.

This was the new suit design put forth by Andy Poon, an art director and illustrator from Vancouver.

His Instagram feed reads:

The bust of one of the earlier concepts of the new Flash suit I did during season 3 that has more of a armored feel. We eventually went back to a more iconic and true to comic book look but I really like the lenses so I’m glad that they gave him a one off lenses upgrade in the second episode of season 4. It’s great that costume designer Maya Mani allows me to explore some of these crazier ideas and then helps wrangle me back to a zone where I don’t go full fan boy on the design. Full concept coming soon.

When Barry Allen fought the Revere Flash aka Harrison Wells (the evil one, it’s kinda confusing now) in season 1, he was wearing a simpler version of the suit, albeit with no further visual or internal upgrades. Then in the same season, Barry sports another suit with a design that has a more tactical approach to metahuman combat. Season 2 features another different suit as Barry fights Zoom to save the world. While the fan favorite is still the very first one, the suits never did match the imprint in terms of design and comic book accuracy (case in point the red lightning symbol on his chest – In the comics The Flash’s lightning bolt is yellow in color). It was only in season 4 that Barry Allen was reunited back with his Yellow bolt. Season 3 has the distinction of being the only season in all four seasons of the The Flash to never have changed the previous season’s suit design. Glad to see things changed in season 4.

flash

What’s interesting to note here is that Andy Poon’s original design never did make it to the original cut but some of his concepts did. Poon is credited with designing the ‘comic book accurate’ Season 4 suit. His armored plated design never got the get-go but the infamous yellow shades that serve as The Flash suit’s inbuilt HUD did make it to the final iteration when Cisco made some insane updates to it.

An armored Flash could have helped Barry look even cooler as he ran through the streets of Central City foiling Devoe’s plans once and for all. The Season 4 suit ain’t half bad but had Barry got his hands on this little bad boy in Season 3, battling Savitar would have been a hell of a lot easier. For better or for worse, the stage has been set for the Thinker and the Flash to duke it out. The new scarlet suit is here to stay.

The Upcoming CW Crossover Will Bring Not 1 or 10 But Over 20 Heroes In One Scene

The DC fans are so damn excited to see their favorite superheroes in the Justice League as the moment has truly arrived. The Warner Bros. has promised to ‘unite the seven’ which includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and Green Lantern. But in just two weeks time, the mega CW-DC crossover of four major shows – Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl will unite 20 heroes in a particular scene. There are some chances that it can go as high as 35 superheroes under one roof. The speculation is that it will happen on the second night of the 4-night crossover.

Here’s what Brandon Routh aka Ray Palmer said about the crossover:

“I have a limited adventure in the crossover, but I do get to work with a few people that we had a good time. The best thing that we got to do was the big gathering of everyone here in our world, on the Waverider, which was pretty awesome to have all of those superheroes together, and it was a really unique and fun thing which I think the audience will like as well.”

He added

“We used to get upset about have nine characters on the bridge and figuring out how to shoot that, but having 21 or whatever it was is pretty insane. But Greg Smith, who was our director for our episode, knew what he wanted pretty quick. You have to have your ducks in a row when doing a crossover because people are coming from four different shows, like ‘We have Melissa for 2 hours and we have Grant for an hour, and we have Stephen for 30 seconds,’ so you’ve gotta get the shot!”

The CW had revealed the theme of the crossover on social media i.e Crisis on Earth X through a poster designed by legendary Wonder Woman artist Phil Jimenez.

The story will revolve around how the rogue versions of superheroes and villains crash the wedding party of Barry Allen and Iris West. It will be grander, deadlier and stakes will be higher.

But Barry Allen- Iris West isn’t the only couple who will get married, another high profile couple of Arrorverse will tie the knot – Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak.

Further, according to TVLine, Russell Tovey (Quantico fame) will be playing the character of Ray in live-action as he is also the voice of the character in animated version.

CW released the official synopsis of the mega-crossover event:

From the above description, we can clearly see that the crossover will feature ‘Citizen Cold’ storyline from the comics wherein an alternate timeline (due to Flashpoint) Snart/Captain Cold becomes Citizen Cold. He is an upstanding citizen of the city instead of a street criminal. He is even in a relationship with Iris West. Last year, Legends of Tomorrow TV series focused on the fractured relationship between Captain Cold and Heat Wave, signaling the fact that Snart is moving towards his Citizen Cold arc from the comics where he is actually a hero protecting lives, whereas Heat Wave went rogue and sold out his team to Time Pirates in exchange for his safe return to January 2016 Central city.

The actor Wentworth Miller first played Captain Cold in Flash season 1 in 2014 and then he was brought into Legends of Tomorrow. But recently he took to his Instagram account and confirmed that his time in Arrowverse has come to an end as he is shooting his final episodes.

Till now, there are two promos that have been released by CW ahead of 4-way crossover.

It is for the first time we see Alex in the crossover, she was missing last time so it would be fun to see her interact with members of Team Flash, Team Arrow, and Legends.

In the second teaser, the villains on Earth-X have been revealed. We can see an evil Flash, Nazi Supergirl, and Arrow. We got a closer look at Nazi Oliver Queen pointing a Luger at someone; snippets of Cisco wearing a formal dress before something blows up in the background. There is an intimate hug being thrown into the mix and then finally heroes lining up behind White canary, Alex Danvers, and Kid Flash.

Earlier, we learned that one of the evil villains who will be making a comeback is Earth-X version of Prometheus but it will not be played by Josh Segarra.

The CW is going all guns blazing to make this year’s crossover bigger and better than last years’ which was like a high-octane action adventure. The crossover will begin with Supergirl and Arrow and concludes with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. It’s going to be one hell of a showdown. Are you ready for a visual spectacle? Will the TRP’s shoot through the roof? What do you think? Comment

Here’s Why There Is No Need of Batman In The Arrowverse

It is an open secret that Stephen Amell is a huge Batman fan. Recently, Bruce Wayne was named dropped in Arrow Stephen Amell was the one who got it approved and it was easier to get approval from Arrow makers than he thought. During an interview, Amell told media that the idea of bringing Batman’s alter ego in the show was his and he got it okayed from management at the DC big party. Here’s what he said.

You’ll probably have better luck than I would.’ So I was at the DC Comics party at Comic Con — Geoff and I were supposed to meet and chat quickly.

Here is the Name Drop Clip From Arrow:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHvnHwiXQS8

Well he didn’t say that Bruce Wayne/Batman would show up, but it does open up the various possibilities for the future. Other than the name drop, there have been many instances and Easter Eggs in the Arrowverse that prove Batman’s existence. Here are all those references.

The Bludhaven Connection

Bludhaven is the city which is under the protection of Nightwing, the first Robin, and we all know that Nightwing aka Dick Grayson is the sidekick of Batman. Bludhaven was seen firstly back in the Season 1 of Arrow when the connected Universe did not even begin. So, it would be safe to consider that Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne’s existence could be similar to Barry Allen in the Arrowverse.

The Wayne Name

In the first season of The Flash, we saw a future newspaper when Harrison Wells reveals himself as the Reverse Flash. The newspaper pointed out to the disappearance of the Flash in some kind of crisis. What fans might have missed was the name drop of ‘Wayne Tech’. This shows that Bruce Wayne does exist in this universe.

My Friend Bruce

In the second Season of The Flash, we saw him visit Earth 2 where he met his doppelganger of that Earth, i.e. Barry Allen. We saw that the Earth 2 Barry Allen’s telephone has very familiar names written on it which were ‘Dad’, ‘Mom & Dad’, ‘Eddie’, ‘Hal’, ‘Bruce’ and ‘Diana’. Clearly, Bruce Wayne exists on Earth 2, if not Earth 1.

Men of Steel & Dark Knights

In the first season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, we saw Captain Rip Hunter making a very quick and subtle reference that he has seen ‘men of steel die and dark knights fall’. Well, we have already seen Superman on ‘Supergirl’, and this was clearly a hint at both Superman and Batman.

The Vigilante

In the second season of Supergirl, we saw Superman come to team up with his cousin Supergirl, and during his adventures with her, he gives a Batman reference as he says that he “worked with a vigilante once; tons of gadgets, lots of demons”. Jimmy Olsen also becomes a Superhero, the ‘Guardian’ and he also gives a similar reference that he’s worried that people find the Guardian too scary and intimidating, like “Clark’s friend.”

Men with Masks

In the first season of Supergirl, we saw her take on a masked villain in an episode where she clearly gives a Gotham city and Batman reference. She says “I thought masked masks were a thing only in that other city.”

But, the Arrowverse has prospered and is loved a lot with all that has been going on till now, as the focus is not on the main steam DC characters, but on new characters with whom the audiences are not very familiar. And this is why the shows work so well without Batman in it. Here are the reasons why the Arrowverse does not need Batman to show up.

Shifts character focus

Batman is the biggest character DC has marketed and it he is the biggest gun WB has had over the years. Bringing in Batman would mean shifting a lot of focus around his storyline and the Arrowverse already has its plate full with so many other characters that have been explored on these shows and have been loved by all. Bringing him in would mean shifting the focus from the rest of the Arrowverse to him and the big fan base that this particular character has would surely increase the demand for more Batman than any other character.

Arrow is similar to Batman on the shows

In the comics, Green Arrow is a more joyful and fun loving character that keeps cracking jokes and has a charming personality. But, on the show, he has been showed as a more intense and brooding character who has suffered and evolved from the tragedies he has faced in his journey, pretty much like Bruce Wayne/Batman. So, having another character with the same persona would just not work for the shows as well as the audiences. Oliver has been more of Batman, and this trend should be continued.

The CW Universe

arrowverse

In the comics, the DC Universe would not work the way it does without Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. But, the CW’s DC Universe is not the DC Universe of the comics, though, and it has not been constructed around the big 3 icons. It has been more of Green Arrow, the Flash and Supergirl stepping into the shoes of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman respectively. These three are the TV Trinity which is what people have loved and responded pretty well to. So, bringing in a character like Batman would not work as he would not fit into this Universe.

Arrow Season 6: What Is The Gameplan of Deathstroke’s Son?

Last week, “Reversal” showed us invents which led to Deathstroke revisiting Star City looking for help finding Joe Wilson, his son. Oliver agrees to help in the next episode titled “Deathstroke Returns” to try and keep Slade’s murderous intent in check at keeping the body count to a minimum.

Arrow is on a roll of season this year. After a disappointing season, 4 and a grueling and brutal season 5, the folks at arrow are working their asses off to make this season match the Oomph and wow factor of its predecessor. The inclusion of Manu Bennet as Deathstroke as a series’ frequent is a step in the right direction.

deathstroke

Taking after his father, Joe, like Slade, joined the Australian intelligence agency A.S.I.S. After an arms deal goes awry, Nylander – an old ally of Slade, reveals him to be held in a Kasnian prison. Oliver and Slade go on a rescue mission, with Slade surprisingly asks for the Mayor of Star City for help and not the Green Arrow. This mission he says “requires a touch of diplomacy”.

deathstroke

The prison administration gives off a vibe of corruption, seeming as if they are hiding something (much like any other eastern European prison is portrayed in Hollywood). Aptly titled Liberty watch, the two-man operation involved Oliver Queen asking for Joe Wilson to be released for a payment of  $50,000 USD.

The Plan goes awry when the guard explains the boy died in a prison fight. Slade and Oliver have a hearty talk when Oliver returns back with the suitcase of cash. The newfound fatherly knowledge Oliver possesses is bestowed on Slade who realizes his mistake and decides to see his son’s body for one last time. I think everyone can guess what happens next.

Slade sees right through the prison guard’s poker face. His son wasn’t killed in a prison fight. In fact, his son may not be even dead. As a spy with intel worth millions in his head, he was abducted by The Jackals- a paramilitary organization of stone cold mercenaries with apparently no history to trace back to. No one wanted to mess with the Jackals, so the prison guards assumed Joe died like the rest of their prisoners.

A pep talk back at the Hotel ends with Slade leaving with his mask on to go save his son while a laced beverage takes Oliver down for a good few hours. Slade promised Oliver he won’t be needing the hood. A man of his word, his frenemy kept on that promise.

deathstroke

What ensues is a mother of all fight scene seen never before in the Arrowverse. Deathstroke goes on a rampage throughout the Jackal Headquarters. Fists, knives hell even bullets can’t stop this one man army. After such an impressive fight scene where Slade took out about two dozen bad guys (at the very least), he founds himself surrounded by the very people he wanted to kill so bad. And look who’s back. Nylander. The son of a bitch was a Jackal all along.

deathstroke

Surrounded and outnumbered, The Jackals don’t kill him just yet. This is the part that’s the most interesting. Slade is looking for his son and offers his services for his release. Nylander just laughs it off. Throughout their conversation, Nylander passes of sly remarks which make the viewers think Joe may already be dead. The final reveal is enough to suck the life out of one’s whiskers.

The episode is sprinkled with flashbacks of Slade and Joe on a camping trip. In the woods, while they show a somewhat rocky relationship between the father and son, the trip isn’t what Slade has in mind for mending it. The real reason he’s there is to get near a Chinese secret agent, who also is camping nearby with his family, and get info on Yao Fei and his whereabouts. A snide connection leading to the events leading to Lian Yu.

As the flashbacks end, an older and more badass Joe reveals himself. And might I say he is the spitting image of his father. He is not a prisoner of The Jackals. He Is The Jackals. Specifically, Joe Wilson is the leader of the dreaded mercenary group. As an astonished Deathstroke looks at his son, the screen fades to black.

The plotline is part of a two-episode story arc starting with “Deathstroke Returns” and assumed to end with “Promises Kept”. Next Episode’s description reads Slade “continues to uncover clues about his son’s last few years.”. There’s a lot of Joe Wilson backstory that’s about to hit the fans real hard.

The Arrow will air its next episode on November 16. Stay Tuned.

The First Promo of CW Crossover Has Landed And It’s Going To Be EPIC

CW network is one of the most influential place for DC superhero lovers. It has brought alive three major shows namely: Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and bought the rights of Supergirl. The DC fans are super excited as the annual gala event on CW i.e crossover between four major shows – Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl is just few weeks away.

The format of the crossover will be more or less the same i.e there will be a huge villain who will unite the superheroes in a multi-verse to rally around a common cause and save the day. As the anticipation for the crossover is reaching to its peak, the CW has released a teaser to keep the fans on the edge.

Earlier, the CW officially revealed the theme of the crossover on social media i.e Crisis on Earth X through a poster designed by legendary Wonder Woman artist Phil Jimenez.

The story will revolve around how the rogue versions of superheroes and villains crash the wedding party of Barry Allen and Iris West. It will be grander, deadlier and out of this world.

The promo is very brief but gave insight on what to expect from the upcoming crossover event.

But it seems that Barry Allen- Iris West are’nt the only couple who will get married, another high profile couple of Arrorverse will tie the knot – Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak.

Last time, the crossover storyline was based on the comic-book plot of Super Friends coming together to fight the Dominators, a technologically advanced alien race hell bent on destroying the potential threat of Earth’s meta-humans.

It was officially kicked off in Supergirl, came into its full avatar in the Flash episode titled “Invasion”, continued in the special Arrow 100th episode and ended in Legends of Tomorrow.

In Part 2 of the Crossover, it was funny when Supergirl asks Rori – why are you known as Heatwave, he replies he burned his family alive and he likes to light stuff on fire. Then Rori says to Kara

“I am not going to say Supergirl as it’s just stupid, Kara won’t work out either. I will call you Skirt”.

Barry Allen took Oliver inside the secret lair of Star Labs that he discovered in the debut season and showed him the news report dated April 25, 2024 “Flash missing, Vanishes in crisis”. It was earlier written by Iris West Allen, now by someone else. Oliver told Barry how helpless he felt when his father sacrificed himself to save him and Slade Wilson stabbed his mom in front of him.

The show-makers revealed that Supergirl lives on Earth 38, Cisco & Barry opened a portal and asked Supergirl for help as the enemy is an alien force. But Green Arrow does’nt trust her unlike Flash who partnered with her before to take down Livewire and Silver Banshee.

In Part 3, you knew that there is something wrong here as things are not adding up. The first reaction of everyone was why the Arrow’s crossover episode is spending too much time on the past life of Oliver Queen, his relationships with his father, mother and girlfriend Laurel Lance (all of them are dead in present day). Then it was revealed all the characters – Oliver, Diggle, Thea, Sara Lance, Ray Palmer have been thrown into dominator matrix where there is no pain or suffering (Oliver’s parents are alive and he is about to get married to Laurel). Everyone who went to take down Dominators fell into the trap and got mind-controlled. In Part 4, Flash managed to destroy the mind-control source of dominators.cw

The CW is going all guns blazing to make this year’s crossover bigger and better than last years’ which was like a high-octane action adventure. The crossover will begin with Supergirl and Arrow on November 27, and concludes with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on November 28.

Stephen Amell Is Open To Bringing Batman Into Arrowverse?

It is an open secret that Stephen Amell is a huge Batman fan. He was so excited to name drop Bruce Wayne in Arrow and it was easier to get approval from Arrow makers than he thought. During an interview, Amell told media that the idea of bringing Batman’s alter ego in the show was his and he got it okayed from management at the DC big party.

You’ll probably have better luck than I would.’ So I was at the DC Comics party at Comic Con — Geoff and I were supposed to meet and chat quickly.

He didn’t say that Bruce Wayne would show up in the show but he said that name dropping him has opened up possibilities:

Every actor has some kind of role fetish or a pet project they would one day want to be part of. But, you will be stunned to find out what’s the character that Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/ Green Arrow) would like to play if given a chance.

He was in a press tour for his movie TMNT: Out of the Shadows, he was asked about which superhero would he like to play on big screen. One would naturally believe it should be Green Arrow, but he said “I always get this question. I think all the superheroes are taken now. I’ll play The Riddler, okay? It’s a villain, but I like The Riddler.”

This isn’t the first time that he has expressed his interest to play the role of Riddler, back in 2014 at San Diego Comic-Con International when he was asked the same question, he then said “The Riddler”. I think I actually said that to Geoff Johns at like 2 o’clock in the morning Saturday. ‘Hey, Geoff, I want to play the Riddler.’ That actually happened.” He further said “The Riddler, I mean that’s an awesome villain, and it hasn’t been in the modern…well, I guess modern, post-turn-of-the-century versions of Batman. So that would be cool.”

Riddler is a popular fictional super-villain based in Gotham, an arch-enemy of Batman, first appeared in Detective comics, 1948, created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang. In Gotham TV show, Edward Nygma portrayed version of “Riddler” on a small screen. He is a criminal mastermind with genius-level intellect, and has been a part of Secret six, Legion of Doom, Secret Society of Super Villains.

Stephen Amell gained fame from CW’s Arrow TV series which is a dark, brooding & edgy superhero drama, and to a large extent inspired from Batman lore. It’s understandable that Stephen Amell would have a liking for Batman characters, but Riddler is a strange choice for sure.

There have been multiple references to the character of Batman in the different seasons. Arrow has used Ra’s Ahl Ghul who is Batman foe in comics. In Flash season 2, when Barry goes to Earth-2 to fight Zoom, at his home’s speed-dial we see various names are mentioned, one of the name is Bruce. Further, Geoff John’s Flashpoint comic-book storyline was being adapted for Flash Season 3, where Batman is an integral part of the comic-book storyline. In the Legends of Tomorrow, Captain Hunter says “I have seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall.” In Supergirl, Kara said, “My cousin worked with a vigilante once – tons of gadgets, lots of demons.”

One of the most direct references was in Arrow when Felicity is given a code name Overwatch instead of Oracle as it’s supposedly taken. Moreover, the show has used Ra’s Ahl Ghul who is Batman foe in comics. In the latest Arrow episode, Oliver Queen name dropped Bruce Wayne to shield himself from the allegation that he is the Green Arrow. Flash TV show has never shied away from dropping Batman references, in season 1 we saw the 2024 newspaper where Wayne Tech was completing a merger with Queen Consolidated. But recently in Season 4, Episode 2 titled ‘Mixed Signals’ we saw control screen for Barry’s new suit which had something called ‘Babel Protocol’ among the new features. In Justice League of America comics and the animated movie titled Justice League: Doom, we found mention of ‘Babel Protocol’ created by Batman as he does not trust his fellow team members which led to the downfall of Justice League at the hands of Ra’s Ahl Ghul in comic and Vandal Savage in the movie.

Here’re four ways in which the Dark Knight can be actually brought into Arrowverse:

Flashpoint 2.0:

Another Flashpoint like event can be created in future seasons which can be used as a plot device to bring Bruce Wayne into the alternate timeline. It would be big missed opportunity for DCEU not to utilize its biggest superhero to the fullest. Perhaps, in the previous timeline, his parents were alive and he did’nt transform into Batman.

Nightwing Solo show:

DC has been trying to make a spin-off shows of sidekicks or other important comic-book characters such as Birds of Prey. The best one would be a Nightwing series based on Dick Grayson coming out of Bat shadows on his own. Bloodhaven has been referenced many times on Arrow, so it would’nt be difficult to eventually bring Batman into this world.

batman

Flash Newspaper:

An easter-egg can be dropped in a Flash newspaper containing an article about the merger of Wayne Enterprises and Queen Consolidated. Bruce Wayne can travel to Star city to finalize business deal, but actually he is hunting a violent criminal (Riddler or Two-face) who escaped Gotham prison, both of them could team-up and take him down for good.

Gotham-Arrow Crossover:

The most obvious way to bring Batman in Arrowverse is the crossover event between Gotham TV show and CW Arrow.

A Huge Character Is Leaving Arrowverse And Never Coming Back

The Arrowverse has expanded a lot now and in this entire Superhero universe that has been set up on the CW network, we have seen a number of Superheroes and Villains from the DC universe make their way into this amazing TV Superhero world. One of these characters became our favorite during his entire run. Wentworth Miller who played Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold till now is going to be leaving for good. He is also known for his performance in a cult TV show “Prison Break”. He played Captain Cold/ Snart in The Flash, then he came to Legends of Tomorrow. He enjoys a huge fan following for his tremendous acting chops and dialogue delivery.

Captain Cold started off as a villain and we loved his portrayal in CW’s ‘The Flash’. Due to his portrayal, the character has actually become very popular among the fans. This dude is not just famous because he played a part in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and CW’s Flash, but even before that he was pretty famous. Be it his cold gun, his cold attitude or his cool nature, all make him a formidable foe for the speedster Flash.

He had a great chemistry with Rori aka Heat Wave who was his partner in crime, first as criminals in ‘The Flash’ and as Legends in Legends of Tomorrow. His character arc then changed and he actually turned into a superhero and joined the legends of tomorrow. He sacrificed himself at the end of the first season of legends and then had multiple appearances in the second season as a series irregular and was one of the main villains at the end of season 2. One of the most heart-wrenching scene from Legends of Tomorrow was when Leonard Snart made the ultimate sacrifice to save the rest of his friends. He came in as a villain in Flash and went out as a hero, with no strings on him.

There is a link between Mirror Master and Captain Cold in comics. In fact, the show-makers cast Grey Damon as Mirror Master, he appeared in the 4th episode of Flash Season 3, he uses specialized mirrors and uses them as a doorway to another dimension, often served as transportation for the Rogues. He is a smooth criminal with a huge ego, upon discovering his powers he goes on a killing spree to prove his abilities. The return of Captain Cold is connected to the origins of Mirror Master. The executive producers of CW shows Todd and Aaron said in an interview: “We’re excited to have Wentworth back because he always brings this amazing presence. It’s the origin story of Mirror Master, but it’s this struggle between Mirror Master and Captain Cold and you get to see who comes out on top.”

In Legends of Tomorrow season 2, the Legion of Doom storyline was adopted by the show-makers. The most fascinating thing about Legion of Doom is they did’nt have comic book origins, instead they first appeared in a Justice League animation movie in 1970’s called as “Superfriends”. In the show, it comprised of Time Criminals Reverse Flash/Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Damien Darhk (Neal Mcdonough) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). It began with Damien Darhk meeting Reverse Flash whereas Malcolm Merlyn and Captain Cold were brought in from different timelines.

One of the best comic-book plots for Snart is Citizen Cold i.e in an alternate timeline Snart/Captain Cold is an upstanding citizen of the city and is even in a relationship with Iris West. For a while, Legends of Tomorrow focused on the fractured relationship between Captain Cold and Heat Wave, signaling the fact that Snart is moving towards his Citizen Cold arc from the comics where he is actually a hero protecting lives, whereas Heat Wave went rogue and sold out his team to Time Pirates in exchange for his safe return to January 2016 Central city. But the show did not go in this direction.

But now it looks like the time of this fan-favorite character has almost come to an end and we are only left with some of his last episodes as Captain Cold.

Recently, Wentworth Miller took it to Instagram over the weekend to bid his farewell to the fans expressing his feelings about the amazing experience he had playing this awesome character on The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Here’s what he said.

“Currently shooting some of my final episodes as ‘Captain Cold/Leonard Snart on the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. Grateful – now and in advance – to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews… Thank you…”

He ended his note by telling fans how much fun he had playing the character, and how grateful he is to have had the opportunity.

“I’ve had a tremendous time playing this character. It’s been an opportunity, and education, and a f-cking blast.. With love and respect. – W.M.”

Last time we saw Miller was in the Season 2 finale of Legends of Tomorrow where the league had to take on the Legion of Doom and it was a visual spectacle. Hopefully, his coming few episodes are totally worthwhile and we enjoy them as much as the previous ones. He will always be remembered as the sexiest villain of them all. Leonard Snart with his sarcastic and killer way of talking sure showed Barry and the others why he is the most famous villain from his Rogues Gallery. Though the villain later had a change of heart and came to be an anti-hero in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. So much so that he even sacrificed his life for the sake of his team.

Other than Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold, there are many other fan-favorite characters on Arrowverse. Here is a list.

Spartan

John Diggle, an ex-military man, and Oliver Queen’s ex-bodyguard has taken the alter ego of The Spartan, someone who is a friend to Oliver, a voice of logic and reason in the team and also someone who can almost go toe to toe with Oliver in training sessions. He is someone who keeps the team together.

Alex Danversarrowverse

It is not at all easy growing with an alien sister who can leap buildings and fly, apart from the jealousy and intimidation one might develop, one could also become cold towards them, but not Alex, she is ALWAYS there for her little sister. Be it physically or emotionally, she always is there. Apart from that she herself is a pretty badass woman, taking on aliens and working at the DEO even while having no superpowers of her.

White Canary

Sarah Lance, the original Black Canary is a deadly combination of phenomenal looks, great skills, and a suave attitude. She is someone who can easily hold her own, be it being a top-notch assassin or be it working with the good guys she sure knows how to deal with every situation. Her confidence, it makes her a force to be reckoned with.

Martian Manhunter

J’onn J’ones is apparently the last Martian. Having faced a genocide and seen his wife and daughter killed right before his eyes must have taken a toll on the guy. Still, at the good side, J’onn who came to earth was a good man, he took the persona of Hank Henshaw and now leads the DEO against any alien threat to the planet. He is also a mentor and a father figure for both Supergirl and Alex along with being a major powerful character himself.

Hopefully, all these characters do stay as long as the shows keep running.

10 Ways In Which CW Ruined Our Favorite DC Characters

The Arrowverse on The CW has become one of the biggest things on TV and we just love the way it has established itself in our hearts. But, every now and then, it does something with our favorite characters that either isn’t true to the comics or is not liked by anyone, which ruins the feel of the show and those characters. Here is a list of ways in which the CW has ruined these DC characters.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl never felt Justified

The CW has established a lot of character from all corners of the DC Universe that most people are unaware of. Almost all of them have been portrayed very well. But Hawkman and Hawkgirl are the ones which almost felt like an after-thought. Vandal Savage was brought on as a villain who was hunting the two due to their ancient origins. But, the dialogue and the chemistry between the two lovers felt very uncanny and forced and their story-arc was never justified properly.

Ray Palmer never goes sub-atomic

The CW has pretty much-done justice to Ray Palmer. His suit looks great, his chemistry with his teammates is handled well and all in all he is total fun. But still, he is not being used up to his full potential. Every time he shrinks down, it is only to a size of a small insect. We have never seen him shrink into the molecular structures that he crosses in the comics. it would be great to see him interact with the molecular structure of different things and it will also help build the character and his powers.

No Classic Outfit for Green Arrow

6 seasons into the story of Green Arrow and we have still not seen the classic outfit for the Emerald Archer, and neither did we get a trade-mark beard for him. There was an episode in the Legends of Tomorrow where we see an older version of Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow, but it still would not count as a Classic Green Arrow. Now, we have seen enough to accept the classic comic-book outfit. CW should make it happen.

Savitar’s Identity

Ever since the 3rd season began and we came to know that Savitar is going to be the big bad for the season, everyone wondered who is the man behind the mask? Later we found out that it was none other than Barry himself from the future. Well, the first two big bads were pretty effective even though they were similar to each other, but this was far from being a little compelling.

Lena Luthor’s role

When Lena Luthor was introduced on Supergirl, we all thought that she is going to be as evil and cynical as her brother. But, so far we haven’t seen her making it big at all. Her only purpose on the show feels as if she is only there to remind us that Lex Luthor exists in this Universe.

Barry Allen’s Job

Barry’s job at the CCPD as a forensic scientist has now almost faded into nothingness. Getting into the 4th season, we are getting less and less of that and Barry spends a lot more time at S.T.A.R labs and not at his job even after being away for 6 months as he was stuck in the Speed Force. One would imagine that how does he pay for the food he needs to keep his body healthy as he needs to eat a lot. Barry’s job is a big part of his character in the comics and we hate the fact that this is not the case on the show anymore.

Scrapping Laurel and Ollie’s Romance

One of the biggest factors that got Arrow’s first season going really well was the relationship between Oliver and Laurel. But soon after that, it was taken off in the second season and Ollie kept moving one from one lover to another. Laurel’s chemistry with Oliver was the one that was truly loved by the fans and not Olicity, but unfortunately, there is no chance of that happening at all now.

Killing and Resurrecting Black Canary

What is up with Black Canary!! Sarah Lance was presumed dead in the first season. She came back in the second season as Black Canary. Then was killed again, and then resurrected by the Lazarus Pit. The Laurel took up the role of Black Canary and was killed off, and brought back as Black Siren from Earth 2, and now finally getting Dinah Drake into the mix. What the hell are they up to!!

Barry is not awkward anymore

The biggest reason for a really awesome reaction towards Barry’s character was the sort of sudden kid-dish awkwardness that he had when he first showed up on Arrow in season 2.  That’s why he and Felicity we sort of perfect for each other at first. But that sort of just faded away as they tried to make Barry more and more mature. Earlier he stumbled on his words, he said the wrong things and fans loved him for it. Now him becoming a little mature, the show keeps focussing on developing his storyline with Iris which turns out to be pretty annoying for the majority lot of fans.

Oliver’s Personality

arrow-cw

Green Arrow in the comics is a pretty funny guy, keeps cracking jokes once in a while, and all in all, he has a jolly and kick-ass personality. But the show has him more similar to Bruce Wayne from the comics, who is a Charming while money-man on the outside and very dark on the inside. This is how the show got him totally wrong.

The Leaked Set Photo Has Revealed The Identity of Earth-X Reverse Flash

The DC fans are super excited for the annual gala event on CW i.e crossover between four major shows – Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl is just a few weeks away.

The format of the crossover will be more or less the same i.e there will be a huge villain who will unite the superheroes in a multi-verse to rally around a common cause and save the day. The CW has now officially revealed the theme of the crossover on social media i.e Crisis on Earth X through a poster designed by legendary Wonder Woman artist Phil Jimenez. The story will revolve around how the rogue versions of superheroes and villains crash the wedding party of Barry Allen and Iris West. It will be grander, deadlier and out of this world.

But it seems that Barry Allen- Iris West aren’t the only couple who will get married, another high profile couple of Arrorverse will tie the knot – Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Yes, you read it right. A set photo has revealed that CW Crossover is pulling off a double wedding with Diggle standing by their side.

In DC Comics, Earth X is a parallel world set in a pre-crisis multiverse where Germany won the World War II which forces the freedom fighters to wage a war against the Nazis. Most fans believed that heroes will face their evil dopple-gangers, while it’ s true but there may be more to it.

A leaked set photo has revealed that Flash could be facing an adversary who is far more devious than his own evil dopple-ganger. A fan’s Twitter account posted the picture of Harrison Wells in his trademark yellow Reverse Flash suit for the mega CW crossover. If Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen is not playing Reverse Flash on Earth-X, it’s possible that other villains could be anyone from heroes past. It is also a mystery as to which Harrison Wells is he going to be. Is he Eobard Thawne’s version on Earth-X? He could be Harrison Wells of Earth-2 who is a scientist and dad of Wally’s ex-girlfriend Jesse. Could he be a version of deceased HR? Well, nothing is what it seems.

Let’s take a walk down memory lane before we move on. In the last year’s mid-season finale of Legends of Tomorrow, Sara Lance traded the mystical amulet with Reverse Flash for the life of Prof. Stein. He discovered that the powers of the talisman may be beyond anyone’s imagination, he got his hands on “spear of destiny”, a powerful artifact (reality gem) that can be used to reshape time & space. He found an artwork buried somewhere in the sands of time to activate the weapon he has already assembled. But right at the end, his plans got derailed and Legends saved the time. He had the ultimate weapon to rewrite the reality and still keeping speedforce intact. So What was the one thing he always wanted to accomplish? Erase the existence of Barry Allen without erasing himself from the timeline. Well…he failed and we all took a sigh of relief.

In the upcoming CW Seed animated feature Freedom Fighters: The Ray, we will learn more about the evil versions of our favorite superhero characters. According to TVLine, Russell Tovey (Quantico fame) will be playing the character of Ray in live-action as he is also the voice of the character in the animated version.

In Part 2 of the Crossover, it was funny when Supergirl asks Rori – why are you known as Heatwave, he replies he burned his family alive and he likes to light stuff on fire. Then Rori says to Kara “I am not going to say Supergirl as it’s just stupid, Kara won’t work out either.

But Green Arrow doesn’t trust her, unlike Flash who partnered with her before to take down Livewire and Silver Banshee.

At the Paley fest last year, Greg Berlanti (the executive producer) stated that Flash is the perfect DC Superhero to come into Supergirl universe. He said “We needed to create a way to do it. We had to introduce Superman since you’ve heard about him and you’ve heard about who Supergirl is, but in the world of Arrow and Flash, they don’t exist. We introduced the Multi-verse in Flash this year and that was always our way in”. Fans complained as to why this is a one-sided crossover, the Flash is shot in Vancouver and Supergirl is shot in L.A. The real reason was Flash makers have already planned for all the episodes and spent its budget, they did not have space to accommodate a major character like Supergirl as of now. But this attempt has proven to be successful, so anything can happen in the seasons to come.

On the Wave Rider, Martin Stein & Jackson found something very unusual, a secret cabinet which Captain Rip Hunter has been hiding from the entire team. They discovered an elaborate techno-lab filled with heavy weaponry and an audio message from Barry Allen in the year 2056. He is saying to Captain Hunter that he couldn’t endanger any more lives and that he must not reveal this piece of information to his team. Both of them then shared this message of future Flash with Barry Allen who is urging Captain Hunter not to trust him as he has messed up the timeline and things have spiraled out of control. Fan believed that future Barry may be having critical information about Legion of Doom who may be responsible for mass casualties in the future and he is giving a heads up to Captain Hunter, but that was not the case.

Now, Flash & Arrow are up against the enter roster of powered people. Believe it or not, they were saved by Kid Flash who then got hammered by Supergirl.

Greg Berlanti (the executive producer) then said “This was, sort of, Oliver’s version of ‘Flashpoint’ or ‘For the Girl Who Has Everything’ from ‘Supergirl. There’s a reason why these stories are iconic or familiar tropes in comic books. When you show the protagonist the path-not-taken — and you basically put them in a situation where they can choose to stay on that path or go back to their life with all its ugly aspects — and they choose the selfless choice, it makes your character stronger.”

In Part 4, Flash managed to destroy the mind-control source of dominators.

The CW is going all guns blazing to make this year’s crossover bigger and better than last years’ which was like a high-octane action adventure. This year the stakes are higher and the threat is more menacing and dangerous. The crossover will begin with Supergirl and Arrow on November 27 and concludes with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on November 28.

A New Superhero Joins The Team Flash In The New Promo

The Arrowverse has been adding n so many heroes right from the beginning that we have almost lost count of who all we have seen till now. The recent episode of The Flash was full of ups and downs where we saw drastic changes happening that lead to the original Team Flash to reunite yet again. Wally West left the team to explore himself and Harrison Wells from Earth-2 came back to Earth 1 and it looks like he is going to stay with the team for quite a while now.

Well, all these ups and downs were nothing as compared to what all is in store for the next episode -‘Elongated Journey Into Night’. The Flash recently unveiled the new promo for the fifth episode which gives us our first look at Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer). That means yet another Superhero is probably going to join the Team Flash.

In this Promo, you can see that Ralph is depicted as a police officer, who is given metahuman powers in a very famous incident of the Dark Matter explosion. Here is the promo, check it out.

Well, it seems like the show is going to alter the origin of this particular Superhero, as in the comics Ralph gets his powers by a chemical experiment which is conducted on him, and this experiment gave him the ability of elasticity. At first, The Flash suspects him to be the bad guy, but at the end, after Ralph proves it that he is not a criminal, the two join forces to become the saviours of Central City.

According to the promo as well, it seems as if this would be the case in the episode as well. We do know that Ralph and Barry have a history together, and the intro of the episode suggests that Ralph is an “Old Nemesis” of our very favourite Barry Allen.

Hopefully they do justice to this character and he is portrayed in the right way. This promo also showed another ‘Breacher’, who is played by Danny Trejo, as the father of the meta from Earth 2, Gypsy.

It seems that a lot is going on for Team Flash this season and they have finally figured out that all of them are being played as pawns in a big game and someone is using them as puppets. Well, we all know that they are going to find out that this someone is The Thinker.

The Thinker seems to be a great villain and he is the first big bad that is not a Speedster. He is the smartest person alive who will beat Flash and Cisco at their own game. Clifford DeVoe aka The Thinker is playing the main villain of season 4. The actor is famous for his role in NCIS, The 100 etc. He is no stranger to larger than life characters. He will be the first ever non-speedster villain on the show. Although, the show has featured rogues like Mirror master, The Trickster etc. but they were just for an episode.

flash

Instead of speed, he will use his brain to outwit Flash. The battle is called as The Fastest Man Alive vs The Fastest Mind Alive. He was also caught in particle accelerator explosion and became super intelligent meta-human who intend to solve everything wrong with the humanity. He will have help from “The Mechanic” who is another DC villain. She will be the right-hand person of “The Thinker”. Her character has been described as “the truest of true believers who’ll stop at nothing to help him implement his plan to fix humanity”.

Well it looks like The Elongated Man might be one of the pawns in the big game The Thinker is playing with the Flash and his Team. We will surely see this explore as the next episode airs next Tuesday.

Till now Flash has been pushed to his physical limits, Thinker will test his mental limits. He is extremely calculating and would be terrifying than Barry’s former adversaries who were all speedsters. The Flash knew how to deal with his kind but “The Thinker” is the fastest mind alive who will hit him hard and he would not even realize that he is down. Well, we can’t wait to see Flash and The Thinker coming face to face.

Tell us how you feel about ‘Elongated Man’ and ‘The Thinker’ in the comments.

The Flash Major Star Comes Out As Gay And Twitter Went Awww

The Flash season 4 has begun, things picked up from where last season left i.e when the speed-force became extremely volatile and unstable, it led to massive earthquakes that wreaked havoc upon the common folk in the Central City. It required a powerful speedster to stabilize the effects and Flash volunteered as he held himself guilty of creating Flashpoint timeline.

The Flashpoint timeline had a major impact on the life of Wally West. In season 2, when Prof. Wells was trying to recreate conditions of a particle accelerator explosion to restore Flash’s powers, accidently Wally and Jesse got exposed to the dark matter radiation. But they did’nt immediately become a speedster, which puzzled all of us. It was only a matter of time before Jesse transformed into a speedster “Jesse Quick”, but Wally got hurt by radiation. But in the Flashpoint timeline, we saw Wally West as the speedster fighting “the Rival” or Edward Clariss (he is Kid Flash’s nemesis in comics) but in the end, he lost his speed for good. Consequently, Barry went back in time with the Reverse Flash/Eobard Thawne and allowed him to kill his mother to fix the timeline.

The natural corollary of Scarlett Speedster leaving the Central City vulnerable to meta-human attacks would b the promotion of Wally West from being “Kid Flash” to become “The Flash” of Central city. But when the actor was asked if he would inherit the mantle, he shot down the theory and said that the show will not follow the storyline of DC comics. He said:

“It’s not something that’s on my radar. I feel as though there is so much story to tell and Wally has so much growing to do. I’d like to see that journey continue. That’s what I think is important. We need to see how these characters realistically get to where they are headed for.”

Well, he was right, in the absence of Barry Allen, Team Kid Flash tackled threats from criminals and meta-humans for six months until Flash returned. When he came back after Cisco manipulated speed-force using speed bazooka, he was mumbling nonsense but then he came to his senses, this time more powerful than ever. In comics, when Flash returned to the land of the living after Speed force afterlife, he started killing fellow speedsters with a mere touch. In fact, Barry Allen placed his hand on Savitar’s shoulders and reduced him to ash. Hence, he became the beginning and also the end of the speed force itself. Fortunately, this did not happen and we have got back our beloved speedster in the best shape possible.

The actor Keiynan Lonsdale plays Wally West aka Kid Flash on the show. In comics, Wally West was born to Rudolf and Mary West. He was always looked down upon by his parents, bullied by his brother. He is the successor to Barry Allen. He was given Flash costume by Barry, who trained him and took him under his wing as “Kid Flash”. On TV show, he is borne out of Philosopher’s stone held by Alchemy.

Keiynan came out as gay in a powerful Instagram post. He wrote “I hope we can all learn to embrace who we are & not judge people who aren’t exactly the same as us. He opened up about his sexuality and said that he is done apologizing for falling in love with people no matter their gender.

He said:

“I like to change my hair, I like to take risks with how I dress, I like girls, & I like guys (yes). I like growing, I like learning, I like who I am and I really like who I’m becoming,” he added. “Spent way too many years hating myself, thinking I was less valuable because I was different..which is just untrue. A couple years ago I was able to accept myself, & it saved my life, but now I’ve gotten to a new road block & I feel kind of lost. I gotta take the next step & actually embrace who I am, which is pretty exciting.”

He added:

“Not faking s–t anymore, not apologizing for falling in love with people no matter their gender,” he continued. “I’ve become bored of being insecure, ashamed, scared… no one should feel like that about themselves, especially when there is so much good life to live. Ya know more & more I see so many young people being their best / truest selves, it’s f–king inspiring… so what have I been waiting for!? Who knows. Everyone in their own time. I hope we can all learn to embrace who we are & not judge people who aren’t exactly the same as us. The truth is we are all family, we’re all one. Just love. Keiy.”

Lastly, he said:

“I like to take risks with how I dress, I like girls, & I like guys (yes), I like growing, I like learning, I like who I am and I really like who I’m becoming.”

Here’re some of the twitter responses:

All of the love for you beautiful human proud is an understatement. [Alicia Banit]

BABY U DESERVE ALL THE GOD DAMN LOVE IN THE UNIVERSE [Kim]

Making me real proud to be an Aussie right now [Brett Davies]

flash

Here’s how Keiynan replied to all these messages:

“Nothing better than happy tears. The love is beyond measurable, thank you. Don’t forget to give that same love back to yourselves x”.

The British actor Elliot Night who played Merlin on ABC’s Once Upon A Time tweeted a message to Keiynan Lonsdale “Could not be prouder of my best friend ♥.”

This news coincidently came right after Tessa Thompson who is playing Valkyrie confirming that her character is bi-sexual. She tweeted: “She’s bi. And yes, she cares very little about what men think of her. What a joy to play!” It is not a big surprise as Valkyrie is bi-sexual in comics as well. The movie is just embracing her true identity and is more explicit in its approach. CHEERS!

10 Villains The Flash Got Absolutely Right

The Flash is probably the best Superhero TV show being aired currently. There are various reasons for it to be the greatest of all. One of those is the villains it has brought onto the big screen right from the comics. Here is a list of villains the show got absolutely right.

The Rival

While the Rival only got to run fast for a very short period, he was still a great addition to the show and he added on as a great competition for team Flash. His portrayal was done pretty well and it was true to the comics. Even though his character was molded just a little bit for the show, it was still done in the right way and the comic book fans did get the right feel for this particular character.

The Thinker

Even though we have not got to see a lot of this particular Flash villain, we can still tell this that the show has totally nailed it with this character as he is the one who will be the main bad guy for this season and he is the one who is pulling all the strings and no one even knows that yet.

Killer Frost (Earth 2)

Once it was revealed that Caitlin Snow would be one of the main members of Team Flash, fans had always wondered when she would turn into the Killer Frost from the comics. Well, the character has too many iterations to choose from, still, the writers chose to portray her in the right way and they got her powers and personality absolutely spot on.

King Shark

This is a character that had a high risk of being screwed up on the show, but the show actually showed him even better than the comics. The look itself was just insane and even though the character might not be that likable in the comics to some folks, he is still pretty awesome and they made him be way too brutal and big which was just incredible.

The Trickster

This particular villain was just a fantastic addition to the show. And moreover, they got the legend Mark Hamill to play him who is known as the man behind Luke Skywalker and the animated voice of The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. The writers and Hamill just knocked it out of the park with this villain.

Heat Wave

He was another obscure member of the Rogues gallery of the Scarlett Speedster who was known for shooting fire. After the successful portrayal of Captain Cold, the writers thought it would be a really great idea to add Heat Wave into the mix as well. Even though the costume is not that good, the casting of this character is just perfect as they brought on Dominic Purcell to be the partner of Wentworth Miller who plays Captain Cold.

Captain Cold

Probably one of the best and most likable villains of the entire Arrowverse is none other than Captain Cold. The writers have just nailed him. The costume is pretty subtle and the best thing about the character is the guy who plays him. Miller has just got the iteration of this villain absolutely right and we love this villainous pair of Captain Cold and Heat Wave and they have been used pretty well in Legends of Tomorrow as well.

Gorilla Grodd

Grodd is one of the biggest villains for the Flash from the comics, and it is crazy as he is a psychic Gorilla! When fans heard that Grodd was being brought on the show, we all hoped that he just does not turn out to be a CGI massacre, but he turned out to be just the opposite and the writers and the makers got him spot on.

Zoom

For season two, the writers decided to bring in Zoom, another speedster! Even though in the comics, Zoom was a massive villain for Wally West’s incarnation of the Flash, this was changed and molded for the show and Zoom got an entirely new and better-looking costume as well. Even after all the changes, the character’s core was kept intact and he turned out to be a great villain for the viewers to witness.

Reverse-Flash10 Villains The Flash Got Absolutely Right

Barry Allen’s biggest rival was the one character the Arrowverse had to get right going into the first season as everything depended upon him. He was the one who defined Barry Allen’s entire character arc, being the one who killed Barry’s mother, Nora Allen. In the comics, he vowed to do everything he could to make sure that the Flash’s life was a living hell, and on many occasions, he succeeded and this was shown very well on the show. Thankfully, they brought on Tom Cavanagh for the role, who is a very talented actor and that we all have witnessed throughout the 3 seasons.

The Flash Show-Runners Explain Why The Show Chose Non-Speedster Villain For Season 4

In the first two episodes of Flash season 4, Barry Allen returned to the Central city after spending six months inside the Speed-force, but he was either drawing alien symbols or babbling riddles which did not make any sense. He was mumbling about Oliver Queen, stars being loud etc. which led Caitlin to conclude that he is suffering from some kind of Dementia as he spent 10,000 years not just 6 months into the speed force. As the Speed-force transcends time, it is quite possible that he saw glimpses of both past and future. He recalled the death of his mother which confirmed he saw the past. He is now again the fastest man alive who is more powerful than ever.

But things will only get a whole lot crazier as the new villain who is known as “The Thinker” will come to the Central city to make things very difficult for Team Flash. He ain’t a speedster with a sinister agenda like Savitar or Zoom, instead he is the smartest person alive who will beat Flash and Cisco at their own game.

Todd Helbing, the show-runner of The Flash, recently spoke to TVLine and said:

“The Thinker literally is the smartest guy on the planet, so there’s a lot of chess pieces that he’s moving around simultaneously. As our team is figuring out who he is and what they think the plan is, there’s a lot of fun as we show the audience information and then have our team catch up to that information or surpass it. It’s a big mystery.”

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Todd Helbing had this to say:

“I think having Zoom and then followed up by Savitar, you know, I can understand that feeling. It’s because trying to reinvent, you know, like a new power for an evil speedster or what they can do … Like we can’t have it just who’s faster for the entirety of a series.”

He added on the possibilities on having a non-speedster:

“There are certainly speedsters in the cannon of Flash that we want to explore and we want on the show and everybody… Like Reverse Flash to me personally is one of my favorite villains, one of my favorite speedsters, so I’d love that guy to pop up now and then, you know what I mean? But I think it was refreshing, and it’s just been a lot of fun this year not having to constantly come up with new ideas of how a speedster could pose a threat to Barry. So, it’s fun, and it’s new, and it’s a new challenge, but I think having speedsters in the mythology of the show is never going to change.”

flash

Till now Flash has been pushed to his physical limits, Thinker will test his mental limits. He is extremely calculating and would be terrifying than Barry’s former adversaries who were all speedsters. The Flash knew how to deal with his kind but “The Thinker” is the fastest mind alive who will hit him hard and he would not even realize that he is down. Well, we can’t wait to see Flash and The Thinker coming face to face. CHEERS!

The Stunning Connection Between Barry’s Mumbo Jumbo And The Thinker Has Been Revealed

The premiere of Flash season 4 attracted good viewership but it was not record-breaking. This season is slowly building the momentum as Barry is reborn faster and powerful than ever. At the end of last season, the speed-force became extremely volatile and unstable, led to massive earthquakes that wreaked havoc upon the common folk. It required a powerful speedster to stabilize the effects and Flash volunteered as he held himself guilty of creating Flashpoint timeline.

Although, the destabilization of speed-force and Barry’s surrender to prevent a major catastrophe on the Central city was a cliff-hanger of sorts but he came back in the very first episode of the new season without adequate build-up. There is a widespread consensus that the show was too quick to bring Flash back into the current timeline without any consequences.

We saw how Team Flash grappled with Barry’s disappearance and new threats that threatened the Central city. When a samurai ninja showed up with his mystical sword, Team Kid Flash ran out of ideas to stop him. He demanded the real Flash to fight him or else he will destroy the Central city. As a result, Cisco had to try out speed-force bazooka on which he has been working for months to get Barry out of speed-force. He failed initially but later CCPD found the body of Flash who has totally lost his mind after spending six months inside the speed-force.

In Barry’s absence, Iris did what he asked her to do i.e to keep running. She buried herself into work and is now an important member of Star Labs to fight crime and meta-humans. When Iris gave herself up, Barry’s memories returned and he again became the fastest man alive. He told Iris that all his mistakes, sins were washed off inside Speedforce. When Barry came back, she couldn’t stop her tears rolling down as he kissed her. But it wouldn’t be a smooth ride for them as we saw them at couple’s therapy sorting out their issues.

When Barry Allen first returned to the Central city after spending six months inside the Speed-force, he was either drawing alien symbols or babbling riddles which did not make any sense.

In fact, there is a fan theory which points to a particular line where he said:

“We are going to need more diapers”. The theory concludes that Barry and Iris will get married and they may have children who would need diapers. Fans are suggesting that Iris may have twins which are a twist that is taken straight from the comics. The twins are known as Tornado twins namely Don Allen and Dawn Allen.

On the other hand, we got a sneek-peek into this season’s big villain called “The Thinker” played by Clifford DeVoe who is extremely calculating and would be terrifying than Barry’s former adversaries who were all speedsters. The Flash knew how to deal with his kind but “The Thinker” is the fastest mind alive who will hit him hard and he would not even realize that he is down.

Guess what…there is a profound connection between Barry’s drawings and Thinker’s face (look below his eye). If we look closely the markings on his face, they are similar to what Barry was scribbling on the wall of C.C.P.D and Star Labs. It is possible that “The Thinker” has a connection with Speed-force and both Flash and Thinker draw their powers from the same source. The speed-force can help you become a speedster and move at breakneck speeds but it can also help you become “fastest mind” alive by allowing you to absorb massive amounts of information at a much faster rate.

Well, we will find out about the connection in the upcoming episodes but whatever it is “The Thinker” will prove to be the worthy adversary that Flash will find it extremely hard to beat.

4 Different Scenarios That Can Be Set Up To Bring Batman Into CW Universe

It would be a cliché to say that Arrow and Flash are two of the best Superhero TV shows maybe ever. They have raked in highest ever TRP in the entire CW network, and the hysteria surrounding it is only growing. For the first three seasons, Arrow dealt with the elements of vigilantism and science fused into one another, in the fourth season it entered into the world of magic and mysticism, but in the fifth season the show went back to embrace its roots and delivered a power-packed finale. Arrow is a dark, brooding & edgy superhero drama, and to a large extent inspired by Batman lore.

The fans have often wondered – Does Batman exist in the CW/DC TV universe? The answer is in the affirmative. There have been multiple references to the character of Batman in the different seasons. In the particular episode of Flash season 2, when Barry goes to Earth-2 to fight Zoom, at his home’s speed-dial we see various names are mentioned, one of the names is Bruce. Further, Geoff John’s Flashpoint comic-book storyline was being adapted for Flash Season 3, where Batman is an integral part of the comic-book storyline.

In the Legends of Tomorrow, Captain Hunter says “I have seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall.” In Supergirl, Kara said, “My cousin worked with a vigilante once – tons of gadgets, lots of demons.” There is also a possibility that several big Batman universe characters to make an appearance in Supergirl future seasons like Kathy Kane/Bat Woman, Barbara Gordon as Oracle etc. and they could likely form Birds of Prey.

In Justice League of America comics and the animated movie titled Justice League: Doom, we found mention of ‘Babel Protocol’ created by Batman as he does not trust his fellow team members which led to the downfall of Justice League at the hands of Ra’s Ahl Ghul in the comic and Vandal Savage in movie.

At present, CW Arrowverse comprises of four major shows – The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and soon Black Lightning could join the bandwagon. But guess what, there is a rumor that CW is slowly moving towards making a TV series on Batman. Andrew Kreisberg, the executive producer of “The Flash” spoke with ScreenRant and had this to say on the recent revelation that Batman may be coming to CW roster of shows:

“Honestly, I never would have thought we’d actually get to use Bruce Wayne TV. It was wishful thinking when we dropped the Wayne Tech easter egg early in The Flash’s first season but now to see Daniel in the role, it’s truly amazing”.

Here’re four ways in which the Dark Knight can be actually brought into Arrowverse in the near future:

Flashpoint 2.0:

Another Flashpoint like event can be created in future seasons which can be used as a plot device to bring Bruce Wayne into the alternate timeline. It would be big missed opportunity for DCEU not to utilize its biggest superhero to the fullest. Perhaps, in the previous timeline, his parents were alive and he didn’t transform into Batman.

Nightwing Solo show:

DC has been trying to make spin-off shows of sidekicks or other important comic-book characters such as Birds of Prey. The best one would be a Nightwing series based on Dick Grayson coming out of Bat shadows on his own. Bloodhaven has been referenced many times on Arrow, so it wouldn’t be difficult to eventually bring Batman into this world.

Flash Newspaper:

An easter-egg can be dropped in a Flash newspaper containing an article about the merger of Wayne Enterprises and Queen Consolidated. Bruce Wayne can travel to Star city to finalize the business deal, but actually, he is hunting a violent criminal (Riddler or Two-face) who escaped Gotham prison, both of them could team-up and take him down for good.

Gotham-Arrow Crossover:

batman

The most obvious way to bring Batman in Arrowverse is the crossover event between Gotham TV show and CW Arrow.

This will be an awesome way to bring Batman into Arrowverse as Stephen Amell is personally obsessed with Batman universe. In fact, you will be stunned to find out what’s the character that Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/ Green Arrow) would like to play if given a chance.

He was on a press tour for his movie TMNT: Out of the Shadows, he was asked about which superhero would he like to play on big screen. One would naturally believe it should be Green Arrow, but he said:

“I always get this question. I think all the superheroes are taken now. I’ll play The Riddler, okay? It’s a villain, but I like The Riddler.”

This isn’t the first time that he has expressed his interest to play the role of Riddler, back in 2014 at San Diego Comic-Con International when he was asked the same question, he then said:

“The Riddler”. I think I actually said that to Geoff Johns at like 2 o’clock in the morning Saturday. ‘Hey, Geoff, I want to play the Riddler.’ That actually happened.”

He further said:

“The Riddler, I mean that’s an awesome villain, and it hasn’t been in the modern…well, I guess modern, post-turn-of-the-century versions of Batman. So that would be cool.”

Riddler is a popular fictional super-villain based in Gotham, an arch-enemy of Batman, first appeared in Detective Comics, 1948, created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang. In Gotham TV show, Edward Nygma portrayed a version of “Riddler” on a small screen. He is a criminal mastermind with a genius-level intellect and has been a part of Secret six, Legion of Doom, Secret Society of Super-Villains.

It’s understandable that Stephen Amell would have a liking for Batman characters, but Riddler is a strange choice for sure.

Matt Reeves and Geoff Johns are currently working on the new Batman franchise, although the details are kept under wraps, the first movie may feature multiple Batman villains. Matt revealed that he will be taking a page from Christopher Nolan’s playbook as he was inspired by the Dark Knight trilogy. He explained:

“What I love about what Nolan did was that he took the genre seriously. What studios willing to make at the moment is a very, very narrow band of films. What I discovered is that this genre has the potential to be about something more. You can use metaphors of the genre to talk about a lot.”

Recently, at MTV Happy Sad Confused podcast, Matt Reeves dropped a bombshell and revealed that he has tossed aside the entire script written by Ben Affleck and that he will start afresh. He said:

“No. It’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool.”

Moreover, this may just throw everything out of the window including the villain i.e Deathstroke which was the choice of Ben Affleck as he has not been done onscreen ever. The actor Joe Manganiello had already been cast to play him. But now speculation is that the new villain may be Penguin or Riddler.

Is it possible that Geoff Johns actually reach out to Stephen Amell and cast him for the role of Riddler? Far-fetched?

The Flash’s Wedding Is Not The Only Event In The Upcoming CW Mega Crossover

The DC fans are super excited for the annual gala event on CW i.e crossover between four major shows – Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl is just a few weeks away.

The format of the crossover will be more or less the same i.e there will be a huge villain who will unite the superheroes in a multi-verse to rally around a common cause and save the day.

Then Rori says to Kara “I am not going to say Supergirl as it’s just stupid, Kara won’t work out either.

In Part 4, Flash managed to destroy the mind-control source of dominators.

But it seems that Barry Allen- Iris West are’nt the only couple who will get married, another high profile couple of Arrorverse will tie the knot – Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak.

Calling himself The Ray, he was recruited by Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters to fight violence and oppression wherever it exists.”

cw

The CW is going all guns blazing to make this year’s crossover bigger and better than last years’ which was like a high-octane action adventure. The crossover will begin with Supergirl and Arrow on November 27, and concludes with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on November 28.

Who Will Betray Oliver Queen In Team Arrow in Arrow Season 6?

The new season of Arrow is off to an electrifying start. I got confused for a moment as to whether it’s the first episode or not as the intensity was akin to a finale. The season 5 finale was perhaps the best episode in show’s history, maybe in CW history as well. It was a thrilling, edge-of-the-seat ride that never failed to give goose-bumps. It injected new energy into the TV franchise which lost momentum after season 4 debacle.

In Arrow season 5, Prometheus/Adrian Chase literally turned the world of Green Arrow upside down and broke him both physically and mentally. In the last scene of the finale, we saw Oliver with his son William but then Chase killed himself triggering the explosives planted all over the island. It was one of the best endings of Arrow by far of all seasons. The show has now redeemed itself from the past sins. The fans are now cheering and looking forward to the sixth season.

The first episode was titled “Fallout” gave us the answers to the lingering questions from the last year. While Felicity, Curtis, Rene, Diana, Quentin, Diggle and Slade Wilson made it out alive, we now know that Malcolm Merlyn could not survive the mine blast, Samantha (mother of William) died in Oliver’s arms and Thea Queen is barely breathing. The biggest question is: Will she pull through? Although, she is not the fan-favorite character but an important one. The opinion is divided: one side believes that her character arc is over and she should rest in peace while the other side is against killing her off as her biological father Malcolm Merlyn sacrificed himself for her, there should be more to her.

Moreover, the secret identity of Green Arrow has been revealed but Mayor Oliver Queen managed to quash the story by proving that it was a doctored picture released to tarnish his reputation (which is not true).

What more can now happen? Well, in the words of Marc Guggenheim, the season 6 will show the side of the characters that will shock us to the core. He may have accidentally revealed that a major betrayal is coming for Team Arrow. In an interview, he talked about “cabal of villains”. He said:

“The theme of the season is family, but it’s all the different interpretations of the word family, and it’s about groups and about loyalties, and some of those loyalties are good and some of those loyalties are bad, and some of those people comprising the family are good people and some of them are bad people and some of them are conflicted people.”

The character of Evelyn Sharp (it’s Evelyn Crawford in DC Comics) was first introduced into the show in episode 19th of Season 4 titled “Canary Cry” and donned the mantle of Black Canary in order to take revenge from Damien Darhk and Ruve Darhk for the murder of her family. She single-handedly took down the CCPD security detail of Mayor Ruve Darhk, outsmarted the entire Team Arrow and was ready to pull the trigger on the mayor until Green arrow pleaded her to stop as this is not something Black Canary would have wanted. She made everyone believe that Black Canary is alive as she was that good. She is a darker version of Black Canary, closer to comics rather than Laurel who was a lawyer first and vigilante later. She then joined Team Arrow, backstabbed them and sided with Prometheus.

She was first introduced as part of New 52 series titled “Birds of Prey” as an old friend of Laurel. In comics, she is the daughter of super-villains Tigress and Sportsmaster and a member of Injustice society. In DC animated series “Young Justice”, she became Green Arrow’s sidekick after Roy Harper left Team Arrow.

Who will it be this time? For a moment, fans thought there is something with Diggle as Dinah Drake grilled him, but it’s unlikely that he sell out trust of Oliver Queen. He is now the new Green Arrow as Oliver passed the mantle to Diggle as he needs to be a great father to William (something he promised to his deceased wife Samantha). It’s going to be either Dog or Canary.

He is described as a “reckless ex-marine turned vigilante”, also known as Wild Dog (1980’s cult-classic vigilante hero) is a member of Team Arrow. In comics, he is an alias of a former US Marine, ex-football star Jack Wheeler who lived a normal life in Quad cities until his girlfriend is assassinated by contract killers. Burning with rage and grief, he made a superhero costume from pieces of sports equipment and went about killing people.

Rene did not start on good terms with Team Arrow, but over a period of time, he has put his life on the line for the team. He is one of the toughest guys but his love for his daughter is limitless. It is quite possible that “cabal of villains” use her to force him to turn against the team.

According to Executive producer Wendy Mericle, Dinah Drake pose a huge risk for the team as well. He said:

“She’s no longer the newbie on the team, she has a definite point of view — and I can tell you that that point of view and her new swagger is going to have some real consequences for the team down the road. Look out for that in the middle of the season.”

arrow

She is one of the bad-ass ass-kicking members of Team Arrow but she is an absolute wild card. She spent a considerable amount of time on her personal mission. She has blood on her hands and she ain’t afraid to use guns and kill people. She was always a lone wolf who may develop integration issues. Wendy Mericle further said, “her new swagger is going to have some real consequences for the team down the road”. The statement could mean that she may unwittingly betray Team Arrow if she fundamentally disagrees on something or if she thinks she is doing it for just cause.

There are two wild cards as well which no one would see it coming. The first is Curtis/Mister Terrific who is now an integral part of Team Arrow, he is almost a replacement to Felicity as the team is increasingly dependent on his skill set as a techie and on the field. He transformed into Mister Terrific after he had a technological breakthrough that led to the creation of T-Spheres. In comics, he wears a suit brandished with the motto “fair play” as a tribute to Terry Sloane (the original Mister Terrific). He has an uncanny ability to learn very fast, acquire new skills or absorb complex ideas in no time. He calls himself invisible to all technology, the mask that he wears has nanites embedded in them which aids and cloaks him.

He enjoys the trust and confidence of Felicity almost blindly now, that makes it possible for someone to use him to get critical information about Team Arrow. He mentioned his freelance work to Felicity that he does during spare time, although it may be just part of simple chit-chat between Felicity and Curtis, there must be something else brewing. Watch out for him.

The second wild card is someone who knows everything inside out, he has been there and done that. He could send shock-waves to Team Arrow if he turns rogue. Ladies and Gentleman…brace yourself for color red…as Arsenal/Roy Harper is returning to Star city. He will be back in the season 6 of Arrow, the news broke on twitter handle of Colton Haynes. He tweeted “Roy’s coming back very soon”. Last year, at France’s Justice Squad Convention, Colton Haynes made an appearance and said: “I get to come back on a few episodes of Arrow next year”. Everyone thought it seemed legit as Mr. Haynes did’nt disclose this piece of information in jest, but he never showed up in season 5. Let’s track Roy Harper’s storyline:

He took the fall for Green Arrow, escaped Starling city after faking his death and then he re-appeared for few episodes in season 4 where he was forced to carry out burglaries by the “Calculator” (Felicity’s father). It was a great reunion of sorts of the old team of vigilantes until he left again. He was a series regular from season 1 to season 3, he is likely to guest appear for few episodes in the next season to drive a particular narrative forward and then again fade into oblivion. He was supposed to come for Thea’s storyline in the last season when she embraced her dark side and went as further as threatening to kill a kid. Roy Harper helped her deal with her blood lust before and motivated her to get back in the game.

What should we really expect from Roy Harper? Could he return to Star city and wreak the life of Oliver Queen? He may hold Oliver responsible for all the pain and suffering that Thea had to go through. What do you think?

Let’s see who turns rogue in the future episodes of season 6.

Arrow Season 5 Deleted Scene Reveals Prometheus’ Dark Secret

In season 5, Arrow made an epic comeback as it decides to embrace its roots. It successfully re-invented itself and brought its massive audience back into the fold. Arrow deliberately decided to do away with supernatural villains and instead chose a man like Chase who is out to avenge his father killed by Arrow in cold blood.

Recently, Stephen Amell was asked to rank all seasons of Arrow, here’s his view:

  1. Season 1
  2. Season 5
  3. Season 2
  4. Season 3

Undoubtedly, the show began on a very high note with gritty plot, dark tone and relatable villain. It was emotionally harrowing much like Nolan’s Batman Begins. But then he placed season 5 on 2nd position instead of season 2. The only reason we can think of is the villain Prometheus who broke Oliver and made him confess his darkest secret that he loved dispensing vigilante justice and killing people.

In comics, Prometheus saw his parents (who were criminals) gunned down by police. He vowed to destroy any kind of justice, found stolen money stashed away by his parents, travelled the world in order to train from terrorists and African mercenaries. He was part of Lex Luthor Injustice gang and was defeated by the Batman. He has a supercomputer attached to his body, Batman deactivated it, Martian Man-hunter sent his mind on a psychological loop but was later killed, he escaped and went on a superhero killing spree. He had a part in Star city bombing which caused millions of deaths including Roy Harper’s daughter. Finally, Green arrow gets revenge on him by shooting him right through his head with an arrow.

In season 5, Prometheus reached to Oliver’s son William and psychologically manipulated him that sent Oliver to his breaking point. He sought the help of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke and Nysa Al Ghul (daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul) to take down Prometheus shows how powerful he really was. Moreover, Talia Ahl Ghul decided to throw in her weight behind Adrian’s crusade against Oliver who killed his father Justin Clayborn in cold blood.

The DVD and Blu Ray of Arrow season 5 is now available and it contains few deleted scenes for the fans. One of the deleted scene is between Adrian Chase and Susan Williams (Star city reporter and Oliver’s girlfriend) where he reveals one of his deepest and darkest secret to her just before he is about to kill her. He told her that he began his quest against Green Arrow to avenge his father killed by him but it turned into journey of self-discovery. All the training he underwent to prepare himself physically and mentally, it had awaken him to his true self. He told her that he had never admitted this to anyone as he vowed to kill her.

The Senior VP (WBHE, TV Marketing) said about Arrow in an official press release:

“After five strong seasons, Arrow remains one of the most talked-about shows on the air, the loyal fan base will enjoy the special features, in addition to the 23 gripping episodes following new challenges and new characters.”

Legends of Tomorrow: A Huge Character Will Return And He Will Be Bi-Sexual

Legends of Tomorrow is truly one of the coolest show on CW where a group of total strangers including scientists, an assassin, couple of arsonists join hands to fight immortal tyrants, deadly legions etc. who are hell-bent on destroying the mankind. All of this takes place at different time periods so they need a time-traveling machine called Wave-rider.

The season 3 of the show aired its debut episode titled “Aruba-Con” on CW. It picked up from where season 2 left. Captain Hunter disbands Legends as he now heads an organization called “Time Bureau” so he no longer needs them to fix history, but then he needed them badly once Julius Caesar showed up at Aruba.

It is now confirmed by the show-makers that Constantine will appear for a specific plot and that the show will embrace his bi-sexuality from the comics as well. In 1992 issue of Hellblazer, he was revealed to be bi-sexual. John Constantine is a fascinating character with many layers. He is someone who is haunted by the sins committed in the past and then suddenly sent to defend humanity from the forces of darkness. He is a weather-worn exorcist and expert on the supernatural and the occult. He is also a detective, magician, and a hunter of demons.

The fans also feel that CW’s show embracing the true identity of Constantine will redeem NBC canceling his solo show. Here’s the official statement:

“As for the character of Constantine, we knew that an alienated, chain-smoking, bisexual, world-weary demonologist would feel right at home among our Legends.”

Klemmer, a studio guy describes his appearance as “The Exorcist meets One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest“. Here is what he said:

“His appearance will involve the following: a revisiting of ‘Arrow’ season four and the events following that season’s finale episode; a confrontation with this season’s Big Bad on Legends, Mallus; some hot sex; and Damien Darhk, because how can you do an episode about dark magic and not have Damien Darhk?”

The first time Constantine series was aired on NBC, it had to be discontinued/canceled only after thirteen episodes. The actor Matt Ryan was brilliant as the demon hunter but somehow the show received poor ratings. There was also a major “Save Constantine” campaign launched by DC fans which were joined by Matt Ryan himself, but Comcast wasn’t interested.

There was a movie made by Francis Lawrence on the character of John Constantine based on DC’s Hell Blazer series starring Keanu Reeves in the year 2005. But its sequel was never conceived by the studio. One of the major reason includes Keanu Reeves’ reluctance to do it even though he admitted to having loved playing the character on Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ Live. Francis Lawrence has tried many times to get the sequel going on a modest budget ($35 million) but he never got the go-ahead from the studio.

It was then revived by CW Arrow. Marc Guggenheim (Executive producer) said “We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow. Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired”. “The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show provided a truly organic opportunity for us to bring John Constantine to Arrow and the CW’s DC universe. It will be a well-deserved tip of the hat to all the Constantine fans who were so incredibly supportive of that series.” He guest starred in the fifth episode of Arrow season 4 titled “Haunted” where he used his special skills and helped Green Arrow restore Sara’s soul to her body.

For a long time, fans have been waiting to see a revival of Constantine as a character onscreen. Well, the wait is over as CW is set to bring him back for an animated series based on the character. The network released a poster and it’s just so amazing. Matt Ryan will reprise his role in new series produced by David S. Goyer, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter. It is expected to arrive in 2018. Here’s the official synopsis:

Legends of Tomorrow

This all-new animated series from Warner Bros. Animation and Blue Ribbon Content follows DC’s popular comic book character John Constantine (voiced by the live-action series star Matt Ryan), a seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult. Armed with an arcane knowledge of the dark arts and a wicked wit, he fights the good fight. With his soul already damned to hell, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect the innocent. With the balance of good and evil on the line‎, Constantine uses his skills to face the supernatural terrors that threaten our world and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows… maybe there’s hope for him and his soul after all.

This is definitely great news for all the DC fans.

Arrow Season 6: Let’s Raise A Toast To A New Beginning For Olicity

In the Arrow season 5 finale, amidst all the mayhem and craziness unleashed by Prometheus/ Adrian Chase, Felicity kissed Oliver which totally surprised him. When he asked her why now, she said we will talk about this later.

We now know that Felicity survived the island and there will be a new dynamic to “Olicity” in the new season. When Stephen Amell was asked about the future of his ex-girlfriend cum lover, he had this to say:

“Oliver’s a package deal now. It’s Oliver and William, right? So yeah, there are definitely places where we can take it.”

It’s now confirmed that Samantha (mother of William) is dead and Oliver is now a single father. This opens up doors for him but whoever comes into his life will have to share a bond with William too as Oliver promised Samantha to be the caring father of his son. As far as Felicity is concerned, she has a history with Oliver as he didn’t tell her about his son William which he had with Samantha Clayton as she made him promise not to tell anyone about him if he wants to see him.

If I were to say anything about the relationship status between Oliver-Felicity, it’s really complicated and it’s been like that for the most part of season 5 as well. Let’s go back to the season 4 and understand how Felicity’s mind works:

In season 4 episode titled “Lost Souls”, the main focus was the character arc of Felicity Smoak, her relationship with Oliver and her life’s decisions in general. She fell for Oliver and decided to flee Starling city for a better life, without thinking about Ray even once. Ray Palmer had survived the explosion at Palmer Tech, was captured by Damien Darhk and sending distress messages to Felicity, but she was too vested in her love life that she did not bother. She confronted her own inner demons which were buried deep in her heart until now, she felt that somewhere in her lust for Oliver, she lost her real identity and that she was never meant to be with Oliver. After some good convincing by her mom, she realized that Oliver is the love of her life and despite nothing much in common between them, they discovered themselves in each other.

At that point of time, Marc Guggenheim said:

“The relationship between Oliver and Felicity will last longer than it ever has.”

arrow

However, the current executive producer of the show Wendy Mericle disagrees with Marc and told TV Guide that Oliver may be learning more about true love this season and it could be with another character. Here’s what he said:

“It’s Oliver and one other character in the Arrowverse’s story. It really explores the question of true love, and what does that look like? It’s emotionally really compelling, and you’re going to be surprised by what he learns and how he learns it and who he learns it form. It’s pretty crazy stuff, I’m not going to lie.”

It’s highly unlikely that the other character with whom Oliver could possibly be romantically linked is someone totally new. The season 5 finale strongly suggested a reboot of Oliver-Felicity relationship as evident by an awkward kiss on Lian Yu. Marc Guggenheim believes that season 6 will explore the outcome of kiss and said:

“We put them on a very specific trajectory at the end of season 5. I think it would be very schizophrenic for us to suddenly take them off that trajectory.”

Well, it doesn’t matter if Olicity happens as season 6 looks pretty amazing anyways. But if it does happen, let’s hope Oliver can make it work this time.

Arrow Season 6 “Fallout”: Was That Really The First Episode?

The new season of Arrow has begun and it is off to an insane start. I got confused for a moment as to whether it’s first episode or second part of season five finale which was perhaps the best episode in show’s history, maybe in CW history as well. It was a thrilling, edge-of-the-seat ride that never failed to give goose-bumps. It injected new energy into the TV franchise which lost momentum after season 4 debacle. The show has now redeemed itself from the past sins. The fans are now cheering and looking forward to the sixth season.

In the last scene of the finale, we saw Oliver with his son William but then Chase killed himself triggering the explosives planted all over the island.

The Black Siren was believed to be dead on Lian Yu but someone saved her who landed on an island in a helicopter. Five months hence, she is wreaking havoc in Star city, killing policemen, attacking Team Arrow’s bunker and stole Curtis prototype T-Sphere. This could be Michael Emerson’s mystery character. Well, whoever that is, the audience owe him a debt of gratitude as losing one Laurel was enough. The biggest WTF moment was the revelation of the man behind the green hoodie i.e Oliver Queen, Mayor of Star City. What is going to be his play now? Can he convince people that image is fake or will he actually come out of the closet and reveal himself.

As far as flashbacks are concerned, we now have greater clarity as the Arrow writer clarified that in the new season, flashbacks will go past the island narrative which dominated five seasons. He said:

“Last year, when we sort of realized we’re going to go past Season 5, we basically made a collective decision that Season 5 would be the final year of flashbacks. Next year, in Season 6, what we’ll end up doing is we’ll do some episodes without any sort of flashbacks. We’ve established over the first four seasons of proof of concept that we can do flashback stories that don’t involve what I call the island narrative, even when he’s not on the island.”

The executive producer Wendy Mericle said that we will see flashbacks in Arrow season 6 premiere that would pick up where season 5 left. He said:

“Because we don’t have to do the five-year story of Oliver’s past, we can jump forward and pick up five months later with Oliver in Star City and then we can also use flashbacks to tell the story of what happened on the island… It was our first experiment in not having the traditional flashback structure and it was super exciting and really fun to write. It’s new and different.”

arrow

He added that we might get to know more about Black Siren in the upcoming season. He said:

“How do people turn evil or turn good? On Earth-1, Laurel was a person who wanted to make the world a better place, but on Earth-2 she went down a completely different road. Why? We answer that question…”

Barry Allen’s Mumbo Jumbo Hinted At Massive Comic-Book Theory!

The premiere of Flash season 4 attracted good viewership but it was not record-breaking. This season was definitely much anticipated as fans are expecting a major comeback after a slightly disappointing season 3 finale which ended along expected lines without any huge WTF moment.

We all agree that it was too quick to bring Flash back into the current timeline without consequences.

As a result, Cisco had to try out speedforce bazooka on which he has been working for months to get Barry out of speedforce. He failed initially but later CCPD found the body of Flash who has totally lost his mind after spending six months inside the speed-force. Iris decided to give herself up to protect the Central city from total destruction as she believed Flash would come for her and he did.

When Barry Allen first returned to the Central city after spending six months inside the Speed-force, he was either drawing alien symbols or babbling riddles which did not make any sense. He was mumbling about Oliver Queen, stars being loud etc. which led Caitlin to conclude that he is suffering from some kind of Dementia as he spent 10,000 years not just 6 months into the speed force.

flash

As the Speed-force transcends time, it is quite possible that he saw glimpses of both past and future. He recalled the death of his mother which confirmed he saw the past. Guess how he saw the future…think….alright let me tell you. There was a particular line that stood out the most where he said: “We are going to need more diapers”. We know that Barry and Iris will get married and they may have children who would need diapers. Fans are suggesting that Iris may have twins which is a twist that is taken straight from the comics. The twins are known as Tornado twins namely Don and Dawn Allen. Whatever happens but one thing is sure – This house is Bitchin!

Arrow Season 6 Episode 1 Breakdown

This season’s action-packed Arrow premiere find’s Oliver dealing with the cliff-hanger that we were left with at the end of Season 5, the explosion on Lian Yu. This keeps it moving at a fast pace, but means we have to wait for at least another week to learn more about a few key developments — like the fate of Malcolm Merlyn, Olicity’s relationship, and a personality for little William.

It feels like every other scene in this episode is a fight or an explosion as the entire episode was full of brawls, although the best has to be the fight between Dinah and evil Laurel. Their dialogue leaves something to be desired, but I’m hoping that these two will square off many more times to come as it seems that they have got a lot of unfinished business.

We learn that Diggle, Rene, and Curtis made it off the island totally fine very early in the episode. It takes a little longer for us to see Felicity, but it seems pretty obvious that Samantha will be the one who dies well before that’s confirmed. The big holdout is Thea, and we don’t find out that she is alive until the end of the episode where we see her in the hospital.

Malcolm Merlyn actor confirmed that he is not going to appear on the show this season, so he is most probably dead. Secondly, we’re glad for the showrunner’s sake that Thea is alive, because the fandom could not take another badass woman from this show being killed off.

Everyone is a little bit tensed after what they had to go through, each in their own way. We see Diggle miss a shot and become gun-shy for the first time and he seems to have lost his aim, and this was later confirmed when we see him nursing a physical wound to match his mental one. Quentin, meanwhile, is struggling with his sobriety in light of believing he killed Black Siren which he still thinks is his daughter back on Lian Yu. Oliver’s son William is missing his mother and is haunted by his father, even when he stands right in front of him. Oliver also seems to be struggling with this situation and being a father as William blames him for the death of his mother.

On the positive side, Rene seems to have grown more confident and capable in his role at City Hall in Thea’s absence. His character development was a highlight of last season, and with his affectionate moment with Oliver after getting his second chance at a custody hearing for his daughter, it seems like Rene is continuing on the path of personal growth in this season as well.

Oliver and Felicity’s relationship seems uncertain, which is realistic, given that their moment of connection came in the midst of a life-and-death situation. Almost no time was spent on Olicity aside from one very brief, delightfully awkward conversation which was a necessity of playing catch-up on the events of Lian Yu while setting up several season-long arcs between all those explosions and fights throughout the episode.

We keep expecting Quentin to be on the taken off the show somehow since they don’t seem to know what to do with him, but offering paternal advice to Oliver was a nice moment, and Quentin and Dinah’s friendship worked here as both are teammates and potential father/daughter surrogates.

The big thing happened at the end of the episode where we see Oliver being unmasked, though it did feel like it came out of nowhere because ultimately the secret identity plot has been played out for any and all possible narrative interest. Well, we’ve seen him unmasked before and then wriggle out of it, but this time it seems to be for real.

arrow

Oliver found his way out of being identified would enrage fans. Not to mention, the theme of Oliver having to square his two identities, and whether that’s even possible now, as it had become more prominent in the last season and was addressed directly in this episode by Slade. What better way would be there to explore those themes than by having Oliver actually rectify those two identities publicly, once and for all?

Like any good premiere, we’re left with a whole host of questions to unravel for the entire season. Who was the person that rescued Black Siren from Lian Yu? What will she do with the T-Sphere she stole from the Arrowcave? What will Thea’s fate? How will Oliver’s life change now that he’s been unmasked and how will he deal with it? There is a lot in store for us this season and all in all it was a good explosive premiere.

Legends of Tomorrow : Two Huge Characters Will Be Brought Into Season 3

Legends of Tomorrow is truly one of the coolest show on CW where a group of total strangers including scientists, an assassin, couple of arsonists join hands to fight immortal tyrants, deadly legions etc. who are hell-bent on destroying the mankind. All of this takes place at different time periods so they need a time-traveling machine called Wave-rider.

The season 3 is upon us and the debut episode titled “Aruba-Con” was aired on CW. Captain Hunter disbands Legends as he now heads an organization called “Time Bureau”. According to reports, there will be new members aboard time ship and the legends will face a formidable but unknown enemy.

The show’s panel at TV Critics Association press tour revealed that Gorilla Grodd, a hyper-intelligent telepathic Gorilla will be one of the acolytes who will follow the occult entity which will be the big bad in the coming season. The show-makers said: “It will be a version of him that we have not met yet on any of the shows. It will be the most evolved and powerful form of Grodd.”

We saw him in The Flash episode titled “Gorilla warfare” in which he came back into the Central city. He killed a couple of lab technicians through mind control abilities who stole some brain-enhancing drugs, then he kidnaps Caitlin Snow and asks her how he was created and to find a way to cure him. Eventually, Flash regained his speed powers and pushed Grodd with his supersonic punch to be swallowed by the portal. He arrived at the Gorilla city of Earth-2, where he rose to power like in the comics, and then defeated by Flash yet again.

Just imagine how powerful will a pissed off Grodd under the influence of a powerful entity be.

But Grodd is not the only major character making a comeback in Legends of Tomorrow, Marc Guggenheim (the executive producer) revealed that Damien Darhk is coming back with a massive twist. The Damien Darhk that we saw in Legends season 2 was the guy who is yet to acquire his mystical powers, but Guggenheim confirmed that it will be posted Arrow season 4 Damien Darhk.

But how is this possible, Green Arrow killed him with an arrow and foiled his diabolical plans. Well, there is something called Lazarus pit situated at Nanda Parbat which help resurrect the dead.

Thea Queen (sister of Oliver Queen) was killed by Ra’s Al Gul and was brought back through Lazarus pit; Sara Lance, who was killed by Thea under the influence, later was brought back by the pit and her soul was restored by John Constantine. But when Laurel Lance a.k.a Black Canary suffered a painful death after Damien Darhk stabbed him, she died for good. Captain Lance (father of Laurel Lance) begged Nysa Al Ghul to resurrect her using the Lazarus pit, but she destroyed the well after getting rid of Malcolm Merlyn. So how can anyone resurrect Damien Darhk?

David Ramsay (who plays Diggle) once said in a panel at San Jose “Lazarus pit is not destroyed.” It may be possible that someone found a way to reverse the effects of the damage to the pit or there are other Lazarus pits in the world. But the show is not going in this direction, infact Legends EP Wendy Mericle had this to say:

“Damian Darhk is going to be the leader of this group in the way Thawne was sort of the boss last year for the Legion of Doom. This group is distinctly led up by Damien. We have a fun way to bring him back that kind of plays into the season-long mythology.”

It is well-known that Arrow’s Damien Darhk was much more powerful than Legends’ Damien Darhk. He will be even more terrifying when he is under the influence of a powerful occult entity.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 3: Two Huge Characters Will Be Brought Back From The Dead

Well, it seems Legends of Tomorrow is really upping the ante and pulling out all stops. We are in for a hell of a ride. CHEERS!

The Flash Season 4 Premiere Episode Reveals Massive Secret of Arrow Season 6

The season 4 premiere episode of The Flash began on a somber note but picked up the pace in the later half. It’s one of the most anticipated CW show, more so this time as the finale of season 3 was slightly disappointing.

In the Flash season 3 finale, we saw Barry Allen left Central city & his loved ones behind and went into the speed-force with his mother. After they defeated Savitar with the help of Jay Garrick (Henry Allen dopple-ganger), the speed-force became extremely volatile and unstable, led to massive earthquakes that wreaked havoc upon the common folk. It required a powerful speedster to stabilize the effects and Flash volunteered as he held himself guilty of creating Flashpoint timeline.

Here’s the official synopsis of debut episode of “The Flash” season 4 titled “Reborn”:

“Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell”.

It’s been really hard for Team Kid Flash to grapple with Barry’s disappearance and new threats that threatened the Central city. When a Japanese samurai ninja showed up with his mystical sword, Team Kid Flash ran out of ideas to stop him. He demanded the real Flash to fight him or else he will destroy the Central city. As a result, Cisco had to try to get Barry out of speed force through speedforce bazooka on which he has been working for months and got valuable assistance from a number of people. He failed initially but later CCPD found the body of Flash who has totally lost his mind after spending six months inside the speed-force.

It’s totally unprecedented that a superhero show reveals a powerful secret of another superhero show in the debut episode itself. The season 6 of Arrow is also around the corner and its time to gear up for a whole new show altogether as Oliver’s flashbacks came to an end.

Arrow season 5 finale was perhaps the best episode in show’s history, maybe in CW history as well. It was a thrilling, edge-of-the-seat ride that never failed to give goose-bumps. It has injected new energy into the TV franchise which lost momentum after season 4 debacle. The show has now redeemed itself from the past sins. The show came full circle to the very first episode when he returned to the Starling city. The finale showed how exactly Oliver fled the island and brought a sense of closure to a long-planned story arc. And season 6 will be a brand new start for the TV series. The fans are now cheering and looking forward to the next season.

In the last scene of the Arrow season 5 finale, we saw Oliver with his son William but then Chase killed himself triggering the explosives planted all over the island. In the first episode of season 6, we were supposed to know who amongst Thea, Felicity, Diggle, Curtis, Diana, Rene, Samantha Clayton, Captain Lance, Slade, Nyssa Al Ghul survived the island.

flash

Well, now we know that Felicity and Curtis definitely survived as both of them were among the people with whom Cisco consulted to stabilize the speed force without it knowing that the speedster is missing.

4 Things That Every Flash Fan Is Asking After Watching The Season 4 Premiere

The season 4 is definitely much anticipated as fans are expecting a major comeback after a slightly disappointing finale.

Here’s the official synopsis of the premiere episode of “The Flash” season 4 titled Reborn, and it goes like this:

Here’re four things that fans are asking after watching the first episode:

What happened to Flash inside the Speed Force?

When Cisco ripped Barry out of the Speedforce, he had gone totally insane babbling nonsense. Kaitlin was of the view that this is some sort of dementia as he spent 10,000 years instead of six months in the speed force prison. When Iris gave herself up, Barry’s memories returned and he again became the fastest man alive. He told Iris that all his mistakes, sins were washed off inside Speedforce.

What is really going on with Caitlin/Killer Frost?

In the last season, we saw Caitlin being able to control her frosty side, came to HR’s funeral and then she left. After five months, she is working in a bar where Cisco pleaded her to come back to Star labs and she did. But then we saw her transformed into Killer Frost overpowering a guy. It seems there is some sort of understanding between her and her alter ego. And who is Annette?

Where will the lovebirds Barry-Iris go from here?

flash

In Barry’s absence, Iris did what he asked her to do i.e to keep running. She buried herself into work and is now an important member of Star Labs to fight crime and meta-humans. When Barry came back, she couldn’t stop her tears rolling down as he kissed her. But it wouldn’t be a smooth ride or happily ever after.

What is Thinker really thinking?

We got a whiff of the big villain of season 4 i.e The Thinker. He is the smartest man alive. He succeeded in bringing Flash back into the Central city. But why would he go to such lengths to bring one of the most powerful superheroes back to reality? There is something insane in his mind.

The Flash Season 4 Premiere Episode Breakdown And Easter-Eggs

The Flash came back with a bang in the first episode of season 4 after he left everyone with ah… cliff-hanger that what was going to happen with Barry since he had gone to serve his time in the Speed Force Prison at the end of the last season. It was a really great episode and it brought a lot of positivity for this season.

The show started with Iris having moved on with the fact that Barry has gone and he is not coming back. So, she takes it upon her and the rest of the team Flash to keep the city absolutely safe in absence of Barry. We see Peek-a-Boo making her first appearance after season 1.

There were a lot of nods to the premiere of season 1, scenes and references to the first episode of The Flash Season1. The runway scene, the background music, Run Barry Run getting replaced with Run Iris Run, all these were a nod to the premiere episode. This episode showed and mentioned almost everyone. Harrison Wells from Earth 2 gets a name drop, along with Felicity, Curtis and Tracy and the rest of the team showed up in the episode. Julian’s absence was also dealt with.

We then see ‘Samuroid’ show up in the episode, who ends up being an android in the show but in the comics, he is actually a real person under mind control. It was revealed that Kid Flash speaks Japanese, and this scene was a nod to the comics where Kid Flash sort of goes to Japan to catch Samuroid.

Cisco along with Kaitlin and others then finally end up bringing Barry back from the Speed Force Prison and keeping it stable so that the Speed Force believes that Barry is still in there. Barry comes back all bearded up and everything, but he did not seem to remember anything and his brain was pretty fried. All this time in the Speed Force had caused Barry to be in a state where Barry spent an eternity, living in his future and past altogether, as the Speed Force is not linear with the actual Space-Time Continuum. This is why he is speaking in all gibberish, as he was reciting what all has happened with him in the future and the past in the Speed Force.

Speaking in gibberish, Barry also gave out an Easter Egg for the future, where he mentioned that he needs more diapers. This is actually a nod to the future where Iris and he are going to have twins. This season is going to show their wedding in the big 4-night crossover event, and the next season might also bring up the twins.

The Samuroid had given 24 hours to team Vibe and he had demanded that he needs to fight the Flash. And then, Kid Flash showed up as The Flash donning the red suit, he was then defeated and the Samuroid claimed that he was not the real Flash. This was also a nod to the comics where Wally dons the red Flash suit after the crisis on the Infinite Earths to make everyone believe that the Flash is still there to protect Central City.

Having Kid Flash defeated and Samuroid threatening to bring the City down, Iris gives herself up to the Samuroid believing that the Flash will be back for her. And, she was right about believing in Barry, as he just snapped out of his state and ran faster than ever in his new Flash suit and ended up taking down Samuroid and saving Iris. This was a great moment as this entire season will be set up on belief and faith.

flash

They started it really big by revealing the main big bad right in the first episode. The man sitting in the chair looking all Brainiac like was revealed at the end of the episode and he is called ‘The Thinker’. The woman who works for him is called ‘The Mechanic’. The reveal of these two villains was followed by the fact that it was they who actually brought The Flashback from the Speed Force, befooling everyone. It looks like big things are in store for us this season. The episode was really huge and amazing and we hope that the rest of the season turns out to be as good as it seems like.

Supergirl Pulled Off Iron Man’s “The Avengers” Stunt In Season 3 Premiere

Truth be told, there are not many people who were really looking forward to the season 3 of Supergirl. Most of the DC fans have either not seen the show or left in between as they are fixated with Flash and Arrow. But I am one of few who has liked the show since the beginning although there were many inconsistencies and it could have been much better. But guess what, all the skeptics will be totally silenced from now on as the season 3 premiere was out of this freaking world.

The first episode of the new season brought tears and goose-bumps in the same episode. It felt as if I am watching an action-packed superhero movie with great visual effects and set pieces. CW has really stepped up this time and hopefully, it will continue. But before I discuss about the episode, you should know what has happened till now.

I still remember when Andrew Kreisberg (executive producer) confirmed that Superman/Clark Kent is officially going to come into the show in the second season. The show-makers decided to cast Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin for the role of Kara’s cousin from planet Krypton. The character of Kal-El was always shown from a distance in the first season, his face was always obscured, but in the second season, he had a kinda major role.

First, fans thought as Metallo is coming in season 2 who is one of Superman comics classic super-villain. He has appeared in DC animation movies but never on the big screen. The unique thing about him is that he has multiple types of Kryptonite on his chest. Everyone thought that Superman and Supergirl will team up and take him down. But Metallo’s role was so brief that it offended some of his greatest fans.

In the last episode titled “Resist”, we saw Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) up against her own sibling Superman (Kal-El) as Rhea (Teri Hatcher) brain-washed Man of Steel to fight against Girl of Steel. But she managed to break her hold over him and brought him to senses. The evil mother of Mon-El brought an army of Daxamites to colonize National city but Supergirl saved the day at the cost of losing Mon-El forever.

In the debut episode of Season 3, she is grieving and totally lost in her mind. She is pushing harder as Supergirl while abandoning her normal life as Kara Danvers who is a reporter at Catco Worldwide Media. The story is getting more darker as DC movies/shows tend to get but Supergirl is not wearing a black suit (if you know what I mean). She feels guilty of sending Mon-El away and it has totally broken her emotionally. This kind of sacrifice is something Superman acknowledged even he couldn’t have done it.

Melissa Benoist has really shown her acting chops as someone who is bereaved but also has the whole world on her shoulders. Some of her quotes are as follows:

“Kara Danvers sucks right now. Supergirl is great, Supergirl saved the world, so if I could choose to be her, why would I choose to be that sad girl? I don’t like that girl, Alex.”

“That’s what humans do and I’m better than that. I will always make the decision I made. I am not a human. I tried to be, but I’m not. Kara Danvers was a mistake.”

There is a scene in the episode where Supergirl dives underwater and saved the Central City from a missile attack, it may remind you of “The Avengers” scene where Iron Man carries missile over his shoulders and save New York. The difference is she went under and he went above. Check it out.

The New CW Animated Series Will Bring Back The Greatest Demon Hunter

The first time Constantine series was aired on NBC, it had to be discontinued/canceled only after thirteen episodes. The actor Matt Ryan was brilliant as the demon hunter but somehow the show received poor ratings. There was also a major “Save Constantine” campaign launched by DC fans which was joined by Matt Ryan himself, but Comcast wasn’t interested.
