We got to see the first trailer for The Flash Season 4 at Comic Con, and ever since, we only got a promo to follow, but now, the CW has released and extended trailer for The Flash Season 4 premiere. A bunch of new footage has been added to the trailer. Here is the breakdown.
The latest trailer continues on from many recent promos and images we’ve seen along with the previous trailers. There’s the return of villains like Peek-A-Boo that we were promised a while ago, the growth of Vibe as a hero, and Iris grappling with the potential loss of her love, and looks like she has lost her belief that Barry will indeed return from the Speed force so she is already thinking a future without Barry.
Everybody except Iris seems to be pretty depressed about the fact that Barry’s gone and may not come back. Cisco is still working upon a pan to bring his best friend back from the Speed Force and Iris and him have a sort of heated argument about it where Iris seems to have accepted the loss of her love and Cisco is not ready to give up just like that.
Then we see the shot from the previous trailer where we saw Cisco having built a gun that could possibly have a lock on The Flash in the Speed force and he along with Team seems to believe that they have found The Flash through the gun and can bring him back.
Then we got the first look at what come out of the Speed Force and we are supposed to believe that he is Barry. It is actually Barry Allen and he is all bearded up and has longer hair than usual. But things seem quite changed and they aren’t what they seemed in this teaser trailer, as Barry Allen as we know of might be a changed man after his time away.
Barry here appears to be feeling some lingering effects from the time when he was away, with the footage hinting that he is not quite the same happy and joyful Barry Allen that he has been throughout all the episodes in the last 3 seasons and when Iris meets him for the first time, she has this surprised and tensed look as she also has noticed that Barry is different this time.
The next scene shows Kid Flash and Vibe taking the Samuroid and they don’t think he’d be any match for them, but they are literally surprised as the Samurai strikes his sword making a huge impact, sending everyone flying. He then demands, “Bring me the flash, or else your city falls.”
Now, this time we see Iris offer herself instead of offering Barry to Samuroid and he then takes her with him as leverage. Joe screams as he sees her take away his baby girl and he cannot do anything about it. Cisco then suggests that if they don’t offer up the Flash then a lot of people are going to die and those deaths would be because of Team.
And then he tries to Bring Barry in, who is not fully himself yet and he offers him the new suit that he has got for Barry. The next shot we see is of Barry with a tense and a sort of evil look in his eye as lightning passes his body and then we get the line from the previous promo, “A Hero is reborn” and the trailer ends with Cisco saying, “The Flash is back”.
