10 Actors Who Played a Different MCU Role Than They Auditioned For

MCU has been a highly successful franchise. Apart from the plot of the movies, credits must be given to the casting choices. But he was aiming to play the role of a superhero. But Marvel Studios found Chris Hemsworth as the perfect fit for the role of Thor. Eventually, the role of Loki went to Hiddleston and now he is one of the most popular characters from MCU.

2. Karen Gillan – Sharon Carter

The character of Sharon Carter was played by Emily VanCamp. The character did not get much screen space initially in the MCU. But Disney+’s recent release The Falcon and the Winter Soldier explored her character a little more. At first, Karen Gillan, who plays the role of Nebula in MCU auditioned for the role of Sharon. But despite being rejected for the role, her performance as Nebula was loved by everyone.

3. Zachary Levi – Star Lord

7. Jake Gyllenhaal – Doctor Strange

Jake Gyllenhaal was seen recently as Quentin Beck aka Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home. But the actor had also auditioned for the role of Doctor Strange. The role was eventually played by Benedict Cumberbatch who was also loved by MCU fans. He was able to make it to the final round of the audition but got rejected for some reason.
