10 Actors Who Played a Different MCU Role Than They Auditioned For

MCU has been a highly successful franchise. Apart from the plot of the movies, credits must be given to the casting choices. Every actor who played the role of a superhero or villain has lived that role. But we all know that filmmaking is a long process. It involves a lot of things. The first one is the choice of actors. A few actors who played certain roles in the MCU actually auditioned for some other role in the franchise. Let’s have a look at the Actors Who Played a Different MCU Role:

2. Karen Gillan – Sharon Carter

The character of Sharon Carter was played by Emily VanCamp. The character did not get much screen space initially in the MCU. But Disney+’s recent release The Falcon and the Winter Soldier explored her character a little more. At first, Karen Gillan, who plays the role of Nebula in MCU auditioned for the role of Sharon. But despite being rejected for the role, her performance as Nebula was loved by everyone.

But it is possible that maybe Marvel Studios found Evans more suitable to play the role.

6. Lupita Nyong’o – Nebula

Lupita Nyong’o played the role of Nakia, T’Challa’s love interest in Black Panther. Her role was overshadowed by Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. She was rejected but somewhere Marvel Studios had other plans for her. Maybe that led to her casting as Nakia.
