Franklin Richards is a God-Like mutant who has effectively destroyed the concept of “Impossible” as he can virtually do anything. He is one of the strongest Marvel characters ever created. It is only a matter of time the Fantastic Four is rebooted and incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we hope Franklin Richards would make his MCU debut soon.

 Franklin Richards was created by the legendary duo of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and he first appeared in “Fantastic Four Annual” #6 in November 1968. He did not receive his name until two years later in ‘Fantastic Four’ #94. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby stated that they created Franklin Richards to add more to the dynamic between the Fantastic Four.

Franklin is a mutant beyond Omega-Level. He is the son of Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four, the older brother of Valeria Richards, and the nephew of Invisible Woman’s younger brother, the Human Torch. Franklin Richards began manifesting his powers while still a toddler due to his parents’ radiation-altered genes.

Franklin Richards has powers beyond anyone’s imagination. He can easily manipulate Matter and Energy. He can project energy onto anyone. He has many Psionic abilities such as Telekinesis, Telepathy, Astral Projection, Precognition, Teleportation. If that wasn’t enough, he’s capable of creating a Pocket Universe, and did we mention the Immortality? He is without a doubt one of the strongest entities in the entire Marvel Universe.

So, in order to control his powers and also to give his son a “normal” life, Reed Richards devised psychic inhibitors to prevent his powers from being used, but Franklin, whether by fault or by intent, could still at times bypass the inhibitors and use his powers, such as projecting an image of himself at a long distance.

Franklin’s Grandfather, Nathaniel Richards was a powerful Time-Traveller who kidnapped Franklin Richards and took him to the future with him. Nathaniel realized that Franklin was too powerful for this reality, so to train him he took him to the future. Franklin returned to his timeline, but now he was a teenager, named Psi-Lord.

#6: He was Trained by his Future Self

Franklin Richards learned how to control his powers from the person he could trust the most – himself. Franklin learned to harness his powers from a future adult incarnation of himself, who reiterated to his young counterpart that his powers must be used properly for a singular intent: the act of life preservation.

To defeat the Super-Villain Onslaught, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, the X-Men, and several other heroes first destroyed his physical form, and then his psychic form. In the process, Franklin’s parents seemingly died. Franklin then displayed his true power, singlehandedly creating the “Heroes Reborn” pocket universe to contain the heroes who had “died” in that adventure.

Celestials are God-Like beings who are more powerful than anyone else. Even the Celestials could not help but acknowledge the might of Franklin Richards. When Franklin Richards created his own Universe, several cosmic entities, including Galactus, Eternity, and Infinity, as well as Omniversal Guardian Roma and Omniversal Majestrix Opal Luna Saturnyne, began to take notice of Franklin’s tremendous gifts. They also described him as a “being whom the Celestials felt was on par with themselves”.

Doctor Doom is the biggest Fantastic Four Villain and he has troubled the heroes countless times. During one of Doom’s attacks upon the Fantastic Four, Franklin is sucked into Hell by the Haazareth. After the defeat of Doom, his parents rescue him, but Franklin has a hard time coping with the traumatic experience of being tormented in Hell.
