11 Omega Level Mutants So Over-Powered We Are Surprised They Are Not Called Gods
Omega Level Mutants:
The super-powered community in the comic book universes is vast and diverse. While many consider the DC Universe to have too many overpowered characters, the Marvel Universe is not that different as well in this matter. As a matter of fact, amongst the Mutant Population, Marvel’s biggest super human community, a lot of over powered super humans exist that with powers akin to Gods. Most Mutants when they gain powers after they hit puberty are classified into either Beta or Alpha level according to how dangerous their power is.
But there are some mutants that do not fall into these categories. They are such a class apart that they have a whole new category – Omega Level Mutants. Each Omega Level Mutants has the ability to destroy humanity ten times over. Some of them hold the power to kill the whole universe (and they would not even need the Infinity Gauntlet to do it). Presenting – 11 Omega Level Mutants so Over-Powered we are surprised they are not called Gods!!
11. Cable
Born in the distant future to Scott Summers aka Cyclops of the X-Men and a clone of Jean Grey, Cable has been a fighter all his life. He is a battle hardened outlaw. But it is not his violent history that earns him a place on this list. Cable, being the son of the Phoenix, has vast telepathic and telekinetic powers. The power of his mind crosses entire dimensions. But most of it is concentrated into his body, which is fighting off an infection of the techno-organic virus – an alien organism that turns a human body into a cybernetic drone.
There were times when Cable did not have to fight off the virus and those were the times when he unleashed his true potential. When using the full force of his telepathy and telekinesis, Cable has levitated an entire city, fought off the Power Cosmic manipulating Silver Surfer and brought peace to the whole world by decimating a huge Sentinel army.
10. Magneto
Magneto is known for being one of the most evil men imaginable. But his actions are towards a cause, which is why some see him as a man that went into the road not taken because of his circumstances. Magneto, as the name suggests, is the master of Magnetism. He can not only create magnetic fields to control all forms of metal, he can even tap into the planet’s magnetic field. It is the latter part that makes him truly formidable.
He can bend and twist the Earth’s magnetic field and do whatever he wishes with it – bring on Earthquakes, tsunamis and any form of natural disaster could be achieved by gently tweaking the polarity of the planet. It is his fail safe protocol for stopping his enemies from attacking him directly. If they get too close, Magneto will take everyone with him by reversing the Earth’s magnetic poles.
9. Elixir
Not a known figure in Marvel Comics, Elixir is an Omega Level Mutant that is still under training! His powers grant him the ability to control biology. Joshua Folley aka Elixir, courtesy of his biological manipulation powers, is virtually un-killable as his body can not only resurrect him after he dies but also transfer his consciousness into another body if need be.
He can also resurrect people from death and cure any disease. Joshua is also a medical expert after the Stepford Cuckoos used their telepathy to copy-paste the medical expertise of Beast onto his mind. He is also able to restore or take back mutant abilities. If put on the offense, Josh can use his powers to create painful tumours or boils and even drain the life forces of others by making them age rapidly.

He can modify his genetic make-up and grant himself an infinite amount of super powers. Apocalypse is also a genius level scientist and he knows every nook and cranny of the mutant X-Gene. Apart from his vast plethora of abilities, Apocalypse has Celestial level technology in his armour, which also makes him virtually invincible.

He has even displayed such tremendous feat in the battlefield, making an entire planet’s populace his personal slave army. On top of that, Charles Xavier also has access to Cerebro, a machine that only amplifies by a multiple factor of ten, his already impressive psychic potential.
6. Jean Grey
Jean Grey is a powerful telepath and telekinetic in her own right. But couple her body with the Phoenix force and she literally becomes a force of nature. As the Phoenix, Jean Grey is a threat to entire solar systems. The Phoenix Force is an extra-dimensional cosmic entity that guards the multiverse. And it is always angry. Whosoever it possesses, the individual not only inherits the phoenix’s Forces godlike prowess but also its godly rage. Jean grey is the one that has managed to tame the entity somewhat.
5. Stryfe
Stryfe is a clone of Cable, the son of Cyclops and a Jen Grey Clone. While Cable could never use his powers to the maximum because most of it was used up trying to keep the techn0organic virus at bay, Stryfe had never had that problem. That is because unlike Cable, Stryfe is not infected with the virus. Remember that we told you earlier that once when Cable was free of the Techno-Organic Virus, he was able to fight off the Silver surfer to a standstill. Stryfe is what Cable could never be – a person that has no physical or mental restrictions. Moreover, he has had a lifetime to hone his abilities. In terms of raw psychic strength, he can even rival that of Nate Grey aka the X-Man.
4. Legion
David Haller is the son of Charles Xavier. His mutant ability is strange and extremely dangerous. David has a mental condition called Split Personality Disorder. This has fractured his mind into hundreds of different unique personalities that can take over his psyche at any point in time. Each personality David houses within his mind have a different superpower. One of his personalities, called Legion, is so powerful that it can control and manipulate entire timelines. David also has the power to manifest new personalities with entirely new superpowers of need be.
3. Nate Grey
According to one popular joke in the comic book circles, Nate Grey is so damn powerful that his creators were forced to make him look like Jesus!! He is the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey and the half-brother of Cable. Nate is more popularly called the X-Man, and rightfully so. Nate Grey’s telepathic potential is so high that he can alter reality and destroy planets. His telekinesis can grant him the power to bend the Earth’s magnetic fields and his psychic powers allow him to convert his body into pure astral energy, thus making him indestructible and able to cross dimensions.
2. Vulcan
Gabriel Summers is the youngest descendant of the Summers family-line, the eldest being Cyclops and the middle one being Havoc – both popular X-Men members. While Cyclops can fire optic blasts from his eyes and Havoc can radiate superheated plasma from his body to fly and shoot energy beams, Vulcan has the power to control, absorb and manipulate all known and unknown forms of energy. His powers were so strong that he singlehandedly defeat an entire inter-stellar empire and became its ruler. After absorbing the energies of half of all mutant-kind, Vulcan’s powers have only increased exponentially.
1. Franklin Richards
Franklin Richards is the son of Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman of the fantastic Four. His powers grant him incredible reality altering abilities. He once created an entire universe from scratch without even putting in too much of an effort. His power levels are endless and a threat to the entire universe, which is why the Celestials – Cosmic Gods of the highest calibre that judge entire civilizations, tried to recruit him into their ranks. The true extent of his powers is not known and perhaps never will be.
