They are champions of raw, brute strength. Presenting – 17 physically strongest mutants in the Marvel Universe – Ranked!!

 17. Deadpool

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Wade Wilson’s primary power is his healing factor. It is said to be greater than even Wolverine and the Hulk’s self-healing capability. Deadpool’s healing factor, apart from making him exceptionally hard to kill, also gives him the ability to push his muscles beyond human limitations. His physical strength has differed through the different comic book arcs but at the peak of his strength, Wade Wilson has lifted at least two tons with his bare hands.

 16. Wolverine

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

In Wolverine #8, Logan threw a mutant that weighed around 1000 pounds across a room with relative ease. Adamantium, the metal that makes up his bones and claws, is one of the densest metals on Earth. To carry your own adamantium laced body around the way Wolverine does in the comic books, it would take an incredible amount of strength. Besides, Wolverine’s primary weapon in combat is his berserker fighting skills, not his strength.

 15. Sabretooth

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Like his brother Wolverine, Sabretooth’s healing factor gives him superhuman muscle durability. This provides him with the power to lift more weight than any human being ever can! Sabretooth could lift more than 800 pounds for prolonged periods of time in short bursts of the interval. Although his bench pressing skills are better than Wolverine, Sabretooth is still a novice in the area of super strength compared to other heavyweights.

 14. Emma Frost

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

The White Queen has two mutations within her body, granting her two different sets of ability. The first mutation gives her telepathic abilities. When Frost uses her secondary mutation, it turns her entire body into diamond. In this form, Emma loses access to her psychic abilities but gains superhuman durability and the strength to lift up to 2 tons.

 13. Toad

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Do not let his foolish demeanour fool you. Mortimer Toynbee aka Toad may be an infamous sidekick but he is still one of the greatest mutant fights there is. His toad like physique gives his lower body the strength of more than 3 tons, which he uses to jump a maximum of 24 feet in the air. His hands might not be as strong as his legs but they certainly are more than any normal human being could handle.

 12. The Blob

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

The Blob aka Fred Dukes looks like a terribly obese guy but what you consider fat is actually muscle-mass. The Blob can use this extraordinary musculature around his body for a variety of purposes. Apart from giving it the strength to lift about 5 tons (the same as Ghost Rider and Kang the Conqueror), it also makes his body impervious to heat and cold and practically bulletproof as sharp projectiles would just bounce off of him.

 11. The Beast

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Hank McCoy is better known for his genius-level intellect and for being a kindred spirit at heart. But he is actually one of the strongest X-Men to ever exist. Before Hank turned into a blue fur-ball, he could already lift more than 10 tons. After his secondary mutation turned him into the Beast, his super strength amplified to about 25 tons although it is yet to be officially confirmed.

 10. Omega Red

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Soviet Russia wanted a super soldier. So they decided to experiment on Arkady Gregorivich Rossovich, a career criminal that was captured by Interpol and turned over to the KGB. We do not know why the Russians thought giving criminal superpowers was a good idea but the experiment was a success and Arkady became Omega Red, a mutant supervillain that could emit lethal death spores as well as possess extremely durable carbonadium whips that could drain the life force of his enemies. Omega Red has a confirmed strength factor of 10 tons.

 9. Armor

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Hisako Ichiki’s mutant ability allows her to form a psionic armour around her body that draws powers from her ancestors. Hisako, in her armoured form, could lift more than 20 tons while she was just a novice. After becoming a part of the X-Men and training with the likes of Wolverine and Colossus, Hisako’s strength has increased to more than 30 to 50 tons. The only drawback to Hisako’s abilities is that she can only sustain her armour for a short amount of time. She is currently working on increasing that time limit. The thing about Hisako is that her unique powers make her strength almost limitless provided she can find a way to harness more energy and sustain her armour for a longer period of time.

 8. M

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Monet St. Croix is an arrogant, self-absorbed woman. But boy is she powerful. She is one of the most powerful mutants to ever exist. As M, Monet has a multitude of abilities like superhuman strength, speed, durability, flight, energy manipulation, healing factor, genius level intellect and many more. Her strength is particularly intense. She can lift an incredible 85 tons. Monet’s strength is said to be increasing over time so she is only getting stronger.

 7. Darwin

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Darwin’s power is not super strength. It is reactive evolution. Darwin’s body will adapt according to what the situation demands. This means that if the situations entail, Darwin’s body can give him superhuman strength on par with even the mightiest of giants like The Hulk. There is actually no limit to Darwin’s powers but they are extremely unpredictable.

 6. Genesis

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Genesis is the clone of Apocalypse, the first ever mutant of planet Earth. He was raised in an artificial environment by Fantomex. After gaining adulthood, Genesis joined the X-Men.  5. Strong Guy

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Strong Guy’s real name is Guido Carosella, the mutant with the ability to convert kinetic energy into physical strength. But Guido is unable to store that energy within him for long and has to expel it soon or else it might kill him. He is strong enough to fight the Hulk toe to toe but has to run away before he absorbs too much kinetic energy from the Hulk’s incredibly powerful punches as too much kinetic energy absorption will undoubtedly give him a heart attack. Strong Guy has the ability to lift a minimum of 50 tons and a maximum of 100 tons.

 4. Gentle

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Born in Wakanda, Gentle aka Nezhno Abidemi is a pacifist at heart and one of the youngest as well as strongest mutants of the X-Men pantheon. Gentle can temporarily increase the muscle mass that grants him strength on par with the Hulk. But Gentle’s powers have one fatal flaw – the more he increases his muscle mass, the more physical strain it causes. This is why Gentle has vibranium tattoos all over his body to prevent his powers from getting out of control and killing him. Gentle’s power levels stand at 100 tons.

 3. Colossus

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Piotr Rasputin is the X-Men’s strongest member. In his steel form, he is impenetrable and super strong. Piotr has the ability to lift around 100 tons. Provided with enough energy to absorb, Apocalypse can even defeat an enraged Hulk like it was a cakewalk for him.

 1. Onslaught

Strongest Mutants in The Marvel Universe

Onslaught was the result of Charles Xavier’s darkest impulses combining with Magneto’s psyche to produce a psychic entity with limitless powers. When the Hulk, after Jean Grey removed the mental inhibitions that prevented him from going too far, tried to stop him, Onslaught restrained the Jade Giant with relative ease. He once punched the Juggernaut so hard that he flew from Canada all the way to New Jersey.
