The Mad Titan is now the absolute ruler of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanos came. Thanos saw. Thanos conquered. There is no being in the universe that could match him in raw power and strength. The guy is known as the strongest eternal ever for crying out loud. He is smart as well. The guy has outsmarted cosmic entities with limitless knowledge like it was a cake walk. Can anyone really challenge this guy? The only being that comes to mind is the Beyonder – a being that is made of the stuff of legends. The Beyonder sees the universe as his petri dish. He lives outside the universe in a void of unknown space. He can literally invent any superpower he sees fit for the occasion. So what happens when the Beyonder faces the Infinity Gauntlet wearing Thanos? Presenting – Thanos vs Beyonder: Can the Mad Titan replace the champion of the Universe?!?!
But first, let us get to know each of the characters a bit.
Thanos
When Thanos was born, the Eternals hated him. He was an abomination. His species is known to possess god-like abilities already. And Thanos was considered the strongest of the Eternals so that is saying something. Thanos was also half deviant, meaning he possesses the genes of a rival species that gives him incredible strength and durability.
Thanos is also proficient in massive energy manipulation and has extreme close combat prowess. But the one thing that sets him apart is not his brawns but his brain. Thanos is a witty little fix. His mind has been his ultimate weapon, scheming for meticulous plans that could outdo even the strongest of the Universe’s champions. Thanos’ greatest accomplishment is his possession of the Infinity Gauntlet that gives him command over the six aspects of the Universe.
Beyonder
The Beyonder is an entity that is as mysterious as it gets. But he has powers you cannot even imagine. The Beyonder lives in a dimension which has dimensions that cannot be measured. He literally has to assume a three-dimensional shape just so we can fathom his form.
The Beyonder’s most powerful ability is tapping into the fabric of reality and making whatever he wishes come true. The regular universe, for the Beyonder, is just a drop of water in the ocean. His powers are whatever were, are and ever will be and his combined force exceeds that of the entire Multiverse combined. The Beyonder has swatted Galactus away like a mosquito and has recreated Death as an entity from scratch.
Thanos vs Beyonder – Final Fight
The fight between Thanos and Beyonder may not even need a big reason. Both are powerhouses of the universe and ever since Thanos has gained the Infinity Gauntlet, he would be getting a bit cocky. The Beyonder could be his next target to conquer and laugh upon as a trophy.
So? Who will win this one?? Any guesses.
It is Thanos!!! In the previous versions of the Beyonder, the guy was stupendously powerful. But in the later iterations, the Beyonder was powered down and his strength was kept at the lower echelons of cosmic entities. Even Infinity and Eternity were more powerful than him.
So that leaves an Infinity Gauntlet wearing Thanos, who can now do whatever the hell he wants to, whoever he wants to, wide open. The Beyonder might give him a good fight and a bleeding nose, but right now, in their current iterations, Thanos takes the cake.
Thanos appeared last in the third Avengers movie titled Avengers: Infinity War. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
