Captain Marvel vs Venom – Can the Binary Woman Smother The Alien Symbiote?
In the dark reaches of outer space lay two of Marvel Comics’ greatest warriors. One has teeth that can bite your head of even if it was made of steel. The other is so powerful she can literally headbutt through an entire alien warship without even breaking a sweat. Venom is the one that introduced the term anti-hero into the comic books. Captain Marvel has become an integral part of the Marvel Saga after the writers gave her some serious skill sets and a pivotal role in the mainstream Marvel Universe post-Civil War 2. And the thing is, they were already over-powered long before they caught the spotlight. Both have their movies under major Studios’ banners. The Venom movie is already rocking it in the theatres while Captain Marvel is set to do the same after a few months. But before that, we need to decide which of these deep space warriors will win in a fight. Presenting – Captain Marvel vs Venom – Can the Binary Woman smother the alien symbiote??
Captain Marvel
Carol Danvers is the epitome of energy manipulation in the Marvel Universe. She possesses the standard skill set of Super-human strength, speed, durability, reflexes, and endurance. Apart from that, Carol also once possessed the ability to tap into the energies of a white-hole, giving her complete control over all energies within the electromagnetic spectrum.
She was basically a God in her ‘Binary Form’. She has since lost her connection to the white-hole but she can still assume her Binary Form if sufficient amount of energy is projected into her. Captain Marvel has also a Kree Physiology which makes her immune to all forms of earthly diseases and toxins. She is also capable of flying six times the speed of sound and can survive unaided in the vacuum of space. Another of Carol’s most extreme abilities is her ability to absorb and reflect back tremendous amounts of energy.
Venom
The species that hailed from the Planet Klyntar of the Andromeda Galaxy are called the symbiotes, a race of parasitic beings that latch on to hosts and suck their life forces out of their bodies. Venom was one such symbiote but was cast out because they deemed him to be ‘too insane’.
Eddie Brock as Venom has gained the ability to imitate all of Spider-Man’s powers and some of his own. Venom has the power to create super strong and flexible tendrils out of any part of his suit. The suit also gives Venom a form of sixth sense and makes him immune to the Spider-Sense. Venom also has a superior sense of smell and a set of teeth that can chew through any man-made material. Venom possesses super-human physical attributes and a healing factor that is almost as great, if not better than Wolverine’s.
Final Fight – Venom vs Captain Marvel
The scenario to be thought here for these two titans to fight is pretty easy. In the comics, Eddie Brock as Venom has frequently ventured into space. Let us assume Captain Marvel is out there on a desolate alien planet on a recon mission when she comes into contact with a confused alien life symbiote coated life form. Enter Venom.
So? Who will win this fight???
It is Captain Marvel of course!!! Venom may be fast and agile and violent AF but this is Captain Marvel we are talking about. The woman we are talking about can punch the very fabric of space and time if she puts her mind into it. Venom can be as savage and crazy as he wants but in front of Captain Marvel, he is still a wet, scared cat. Captain Marvel mops the floor with Venom easily.
Venom has already been released in theatres near you. The official synopsis for the movie reads:
Journalist Eddie Brock is trying to take down Carlton Drake, the notorious and brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While investigating one of Drake’s experiments, Eddie’s body merges with the alien Venom — leaving him with superhuman strength and power.
