Scarlet Witch vs The Phoenix – Here is Why Marvel’s Red Witch Will Lose to the Phoenix!
Magic and Paranormal forces have come a long way in the comic books. We have been introduced to a ton of heroes with varying ranges of abilities. Some can heal fast while some can bench press a mountain. Some can summon lightning while some use technology to their advantage. Amongst these heroes, there are two that are crazy powerful but are frequently overlooked. Scarlet Witch is Marvel’s greatest reality manipulator. She can rewrite the laws of physics on a whim. On the other hand, Jean Grey is the Phoenix Force aka the God of all Psychic Energy that ever was, is or will be in the Marvel Universe. What happens when these two mutant maniacs decide to fight it out? Presenting – Scarlet Witch vs The Phoenix – Here is why Marvel’s Red Witch will lose to the Phoenix!!
But first, let us have a look at each character’s strengths and weaknesses for a start.
Scarlet Witch
Born in a castle on Wundagore Mountain, Scarlet Witch was tainted with the gift of magic from her birth itself. Mystique being her mother, she was already a mutant and possessed abilities but at her birth, she was also gifted with chaos magic, a form of magic that only the Demon King Chthon can manipulate.
Chaos magic is a dangerous form of magic which also happens to be highly volatile and predictable. It can help Wanda win unwinnable battles by making improbable things possible. It gives her tremendous luck and to her enemies massive bad luck. Her Hex powers are something to be watched out for.
Wanda Maximoff can literally reboot the universe. One time, she was able to restart reality on her own terms just because she lost her temper. She also happens to be a powerful telekinetic, can fly and use concussive Hex blasts to stun and hurt her enemies. Wanda is also trained in close quarter combat by the most capable Marvel Comics Fighter – Captain America, himself.
The Phoenix
Jean Grey used to be a timid young woman. Apart from basic telepathic and psychic abilities, Jean was nothing special. It all changed when it was later revealed that Jean Grey is host to the extra-dimensional entity known as the Phoenix Force, the God of Psychic Energy and the Guardian of the Multi-Verse.
Jean was possessed by the Phoenix who then went on to wreak havoc on not only Earth but other planets as well. Jean grey, as the Dark Phoenix, destroyed an entire solar system by making its star implode within itself. Jean’s telekinetic and telepathic abilities were also amplified a thousand fold.
She can look at the past, present and future events simultaneously and was even more powerful than Charles Xavier when it comes to manipulating people with the power of Suggestion. Jean could also fly, use force fields and fire high intensity energy beams that could even kill her targets within seconds.
Final Fight – Scarlet Witch vs The Phoenix
The scenario for this fight could be that the Dark Phoenix might be out on her regular stroll of insanity, obliterating buildings and people until she come across a particular red haired woman who possesses powers of her own. Both decide to fight it out and thus begins the battle of the mutant divas….
So who will win this fight? Any ideas????
It is the Phoenix!!! The Phoenix will surely win this fight given the vast difference in power levels. Wanda might be able to hold her off a bit with her Hex powers of reality manipulation but what could is rewriting reality against an entity that has literally existed an eternity out of it?
Scarlet Witch is immune to the Phoenix Force. We still do not know how. But we do know that she will put up one hell of a fight. But eventually, the Phoenix’s essentially unlimited reservoirs of psychic energy and her ferocity in the battlefield will give the Phoenix a clear advantage. She is a God for crying out loud. You don’t mess around with God. The Phoenix takes this fight fair and square.
