Venom vs Superman: Can the Symbiote Make Superman Bend to his Will?

After watching Venom when it hits the theatres in October, this may be a fantasy fight that could strike our minds as Sony is moving forward with an upgraded, much stringer Venom than we saw in Spider-Man 3. Venom has so many insane powers that he can actually hold his own against the Last son of Krypton. So, just analyze the powers of these two individuals and see who turns out victorious!

Venom

Venom vs. Superman

Venom originally appeared as a supervillain but has since become more of an antihero. Venom is a Symbiote, a sentient alien, with a gooey, slimy form which comes in Black. Similar to the real-world symbiotes, it also requires a host, usually human, to bond with for its survival. After bonding, the Symbiote transfers the enhanced powers it has on the host. When the Venom Symbiote bonds with a human, that new dual-life form is called “Venom”.

Venom first bonded with Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, who eventually separated himself from the creature when he discovered its true nature. The Symbiote then went on to merge with many other hosts, and the most notable one was Eddie Brock, who is its second and most infamous host, with whom it first came to be called as ‘Venom’ and one of Spider-Man’s archenemies. In the upcoming Venom movie, there is not going to be any Spider-Man, so Venom will straight away bond with Brock.

Venom has some insane abilities which no other Superhero has. This symbiote is totally adaptable to any surrounding, it can be Spider-Man and much more than him, it never runs out of web, it has the ability to shapeshift, it has cloaking and camouflage skills, it can even grow back limbs and it has the genetic ability to transfer its learning and powers from host to host. Venom is the ultimate Killing machine! The only disadvantage this symbiote has is that it is vulnerable to sonic noises.

Superman

Krypton’s last survivor Kal-El, son of Jor-El arrived on earth as an infant when Krypton was destroyed. He landed in America and was raised on a farm in Kansas by the name of Clark Kent, the son of Jonathan and Martha Kent. Clark Kent is an extremely talented news reporter and when he finds someone in trouble, he swoops in to save the day.

Superman can literally beat anyone if he does not hold back. He loses most of his fight because he holds back, and if he gets rid of that factor, there is no taking him down. The opponent should literally pray that he does not lose his mind in a battle because if he does, anyone standing in his way will end up like Zod!

“Look up, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no its Superman!” comes in America’s best Superhero to save the day.

Venom vs Superman

The Battle between these two characters may not be as big on the physical part as Superman surely exceeds Venom when it comes to strength and abilities. Venom surely has some amazing sets of abilities which he has acquired from its previous hosts and his ultra-fast reflexes may give him some assistance against many of Superman’s attacks like heat vision or freeze breath, but he still cannot match the speed of Superman.

This battle would really stand on Superman’s mental ability as looking at a much stronger and superior host than any other individual, Venom may actually try to bond with Sups. Now, it will totally be the question whether Superman could resist the feeling of power and control that Venom brings if he lashes on to him. Fighting the Symbiote has been difficult for almost all its hosts and Superman has been prone to mind control in the past, so it would be really difficult for Superman to resist the Symbiote at least at first.

Just imagine a hybrid of Venom and Superman, a Super Venom! The entire planet might fall within one day if this hybrid unleashes its wrath. Someone, like Lois, has to reach out to Superman and help him fight off against the Symbiote, because if Superman does end up resisting the Symbiote, then he will end the battle by actually throwing Venom into the f**king sun!
