All Upcoming Fast & Furious Movies Coming After F9

F9 has released in the theaters. Now, we can look at all other upcoming Fast & Furious movies. The franchise made its debut in 2001 and has been able to impress the audience with its storytelling and breathtaking action sequences up to a great extent. The franchise launched with The Fast and the Furious in 2001 and the rest is history. Fast & Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious were the highest-grossing films of the franchise to date. The franchise also includes a spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, and an animated series on Netflix, Spy Racers.

The fans of the franchise had to wait for one more year to watch the ninth installment since the Covid-19 pandemic forced the theaters to remain closed for some time. Now finally the ninth installment has arrived in the theaters. Although it has received mixed reviews from critics, the film is already the highest-grossing film of 2021. But this is not the end. There are a lot more things being planned for the franchise. A few more films and spin-offs are on the way. Let’s check the list.

Hobbs & Shaw 2

Upcoming Fast & Furious Movies

Released in 2019, Hobbs & Shaw was a huge success at the box office. Considering the positive response to the film and the box office collections, Universal greenlit a sequel. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will not be seen in Fast & Furious 9 as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. But possibly the characters might return in the next two installments. Now both the characters will team up again to take down another criminal organization in Hobbs & Shaw 2. There has been no update about the director or the plot of the film. But Chris Morgan will develop a script that will feature some new characters alongside Hobbs and Shaw.

Fast & Furious 10

Fast & Furious 10 was announced a long time ago. Also, the film was scheduled to release one year later after Fast & Furious 9 in 2021. But Covid-19 pandemic brought a few changes in the release date allotted to Fast & Furious 9 and it got released in 2021. Now if things remain normal like it is, for now, we might get to see Fast & Furious 10 in 2023 considering the current level of the franchise. Justin Lin will return to direct the film. Along with Vin Diesel reprising his role as Dom, the other characters including Letty Ortiz, Roman Pearce, and Tej Parker will also return in the sequel.

Fast & Furious 11

Upcoming Fast & Furious Movies

Along with Fast & Furious 10, Fast & Furious 11 was also announced when the work on the ninth part was complete. It was also announced that both the installments will be shot back-to-back. But the release dates of most of the films had to be shifted because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Fast & Furious 9 was scheduled to release in 2020 but got released in 2021. As a result of that, Fast & Furious 10 had to be postponed. The pandemic is not under control till now. As a result of this, the makers have not started to work on Fast & Furious 10. Now they can work on the eleventh installment if the work of the tenth one is complete. Considering the announcement made a long time ago, we can expect to see Fast & Furious 11 sometime in 2024.

Female-led Fast & Furious spinoff

A sequel for Hobbs & Shaw was confirmed recently before the release of Fast & Furious 9. Now according to some rumors, an untitled female spinoff is also being planned for the franchise. The ladies featured in the Fast & Furious franchise are also equally strong like the male characters. The spinoff has not been officially announced. But Vin Diesel has said once that a script was being written for a female-led spinoff in the franchise. Considering that, all the female characters of the franchise will appear in this spinoff. Letty and Mia are the main and important characters. Apart from that, the movie could include the characters of Ramsey, Hattie, Magdalene, Madame M, and Cipher.
