Doctor Strange 2: All Actors And Characters Confirmed To Appear

It looks like Doctor Strange is taking Iron Man’s place as the main hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 4 will see Strange dealing with more than one superhero. This includes Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home and two more heroes in his next movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. After the end of WandaVision, Marvel reported that the finale would tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It will bring Wanda back into the big screen movie world. There will be a return of characters from Doctor Strange’s first movie along with the introduction of a brand-new hero to the MCU.

Marvel confirmed at Disney’s Investor Day that Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez have joined the cast. It was followed by Marvel confirming at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019 that Scarlet Witch will also be seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

1. Benedict Cumberbatch / Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Dr. Stephen Strange, the Master of the Mystic Arts. He is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Doctor Strange made his first debut in 2016’s Doctor Strange and then played a larger role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Cumberbatch, who also played major roles in the Sherlock Holmes and Hobbit franchises, will be seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He will reportedly fix a problem in the multiverse. This includes one that threatens to tear the MCU apart. All this might have to do with where Wanda Maximoff’s story left off in WandaVision.

2. Xochitl Gomez / America Chavez

A new hero from MCU will be seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She is America Chavez, also known as Miss America. Doctor Strange 2 will be a perfect movie to introduce the future member of the Young Avengers. Moreover, Miss America comes from the multiverse itself. She is the daughter of two women who lived in a world known as the Utopian Parallel.

Her mothers sacrificed themselves to save her and the Utopian Parallel. This caused her to flee that world and seek adventures as a young teenage girl. This is how she ended up on Earth. After a short time in a foster family, she ran away and became a young vigilante hero with the power to open up star-shaped portals to anywhere in the multiverse. America, along with Kate Bishop, Wanda’s children, and Cassie Lang started the Young Avengers in the comics.

3. Rachel McAdams / Christine Palmer

In 2016’s Doctor Strange, Stephen Strange had a love interest in Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer. But she never ended up with the sorcerer, romantically, by the end. It looked like her role in the Doctor Strange universe had ended. But her story has yet another chapter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The first Doctor Strange movie did not reveal that Christine Palmer is a hero in her own right known as the Night Nurse in Marvel Comics. In the comics, she has no powers. But she is on call to help superheroes when injured, nursing them back to health.

4. Elizabeth Olsen / Scarlet Witch

Elizabeth Olsen was recently seen in the Disney+ series, WandaVision. It proved that Wanda was one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With her growing power, she will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It will be interesting to see which magic user is the most powerful. In WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff turned an entire town into her own personal paradise, controlling everyone who lived there. With Wanda trying to recreate her children at the end of WandaVision, she might cause problems that Doctor Strange will fix. But all that is known is that she will be in the next Doctor Strange movie in some role.

5. Chiwetel Ejiofor / Baron Mordo

In 2016’s Doctor Strange, Karl Mordo was seen as an ally of Doctor Strange. He trained under The Ancient One. He believed he was the man in line to take over her role when she finally died. But after helping Doctor Strange battle Kaecilius, he learned the hard way that it was Stephen that was the new Master of the Mystic Arts. It sent Mordo to his eventual fate as Doctor Strange villain, Baron Mordo. This played out at the end of the movie, when Mordo found a man who had learned mystic arts to heal his paralyzed legs and then somehow stripped the man of his magical abilities, building his own strength along the way. It is unknown if Baron Mordo will play a major villain in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness or if he will be a part of the overall multiverse madness.

6. Benedict Wong / Wong

Benedict Wong will return in the Doctor Strange sequel as his assistant, Wong. In the first movie, Wong was working for The Ancient One. But when Doctor Strange became the Master of the Mystic Arts, Wong moved on to work directly with Stephen Strange. In the comics, Wong works as a servant to Strange. But in the movie, he is an equal and a powerful sorcerer. He also appeared in Avengers: Endgame in the final battle and will definitely be a valuable ally to Strange in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

There are other rumored characters which include Clea, Brother VooDoo, and even the Ancient One up to a certain capacity. We could expect some multiverse characters to show up as well.
