Avengers: Infinity War – How Wakanda Helped In Enhancing Tony’s Nanotech Suit

How Wakanda Helped In Enhancing Tony’s Nanotech Suit:

Marvel’s new MCU tie-in book, “The Wakanda Files A Technological Exploration of the Avengers and Beyond” has cleared quite a lot of MCU related mysteries. We’ve already talked about several details that the book has revealed, such as how Tony spotted Peter Parker, why he developed the Iron Spider suit, a tease of the X-Gene, Bucky’s ties to the Tesseract, Peter Parker’s web fluid formula, Shuri’s attempts to manually synthesize the Heart shaped Herb, Janet’s new powers and many others. Now, we’re going to talk about how Tony Stark was suddenly able to come up with his Nanotech suit in Avengers: Infinity War.

Before Infinity War, the two most advanced Iron Man suits we saw were in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Captain America: Civil War. But these suits were nowhere close to being as advanced as Tony’s Mark 50 armor in Avengers: Infinity War. So, how did Tony come up with nanotech suddenly after Black Panther? As we’ve witnessed in the MCU, Shuri came up with Black Panther’s nanotech suit before Infinity War. So, we were all surprised and intrigued when we saw Tony’s Mark 50.

To this date, we haven’t really got a proper explanation to how nanotech technically works. Tony did have a gradual transition towards Nanotech as it was apparent with his Nano-watch gauntlet in Civil War. Since AIM also used nanotechnology in the Extremis project, Tony would have had more knowledge through that as well. But still, what Tony did with the nanotech suit was much more pure magic! None of us had really imagined all the armory that he added into the suit.

How Wakanda Helped In Enhancing Tony’s Nanotech Suit

Just like Bruce Banner, we wanted to know how Tony had suddenly figured out Nano-technology before Infinity War. As it turns out, Wakanda had a hand in it. At the end of Black Panther, T’Challa promised that Wakanda will open up to the rest of the world. Now that didn’t mean that Wakanda would host the Olympics or big-name MNCs would set up their shops in Wakanda. But, it meant that Wakanda would come to the aid of the world and even pass on their knowledge and technologies strategically. So, soon after the press conference that T’Challa called, a science exchange took place between Shuri and Stark Industries. This is when Stark got his hands upon “Nanoparticle tech” and gave a significant upgrade to his suit(s).

Furthermore, once Tony completed his research on nanoparticles, he began to design Spider-Man’s next suit. Spidey’s fight in Civil War impressed Tony a lot, so he decided to give Spidey an even bigger upgrade, and thus designed his Nanotech Iron Spider suit. This suit had several advanced features as it was bullet proof, had 4 extended limbs, enhanced web shoots which made their own web solution so Spidey won’t ever run out of web, and so on.

Another fair point that we’d like to note is that besides the Nanoparticle tech, Tony also upgraded to Wakandan Holoshields when he moved from Avengers: Infinity War to Avengers: Endgame. So, those of us who thought that Tony may not have met Shuri or had access to Wakandan tech have sort of been proven wrong. It all happened behind the scenes and Shuri might even refer to it in Black Panther 2. Now let’s see what other amazing pieces of technology will come up in the future of the MCU.

Till then, here’s how the of the future slate of MCU looks – WandaVision is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2020. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is confirmed for 2021 and it could arrive in Spring. Black Widow releases on May 7, 2021, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on July 9, 2021, Eternals on November 5, 2021, Marvel & Sony’s Spider-Man 3 on December 17, 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder on February 11, 2022, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 25, 2022, Black Panther II on May 6, 2022, and Captain Marvel 2 on July 8, 2022. Blade, Ant-Man and the Wasp 3 & Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are also confirmed for future releases. As far as other TV shows are concerned, Loki, What if…? & maybe even Hawkeye will arrive next year. Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk & the Nick Fury (SWORD) series will possibly arrive in 2022.
