Vegeta Will Become God of Destruction, Defeat Moro, And Leave Dragon Ball forever

Vegeta Become God of Destruction Dragon Ball:

The Dragon Ball Universe expanded beyond belief during the Dragon Ball Super series. We realized that there isn’t just one but multiple universes that fall under the domain of the Gods. Each Universe is taken care of and supervised by its respective God of Destruction, whose role is basically to ensure that no mortal threatens the growth and development of life in the cosmos. Universe 7 – the one where our beloved Goku and Vegeta reside has Lord Beerus, its resident God of Destruction. The current arc – Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc, has revealed the Z Fighters’ strongest foe yet – the ancient Sorcerer Moro. Neither Goku nor Vegeta has the power to defeat him. But there might be a silver lining here. The Moro arc might be leading towards something completely unexpected of a twist in the story. Vegeta will become God of Destruction, defeat Moro, and leave Dragon Ball forever!!

Vegeta Become God of Destruction Dragon Ball

Before the Tournament of Power began, Goku and Vegeta trained under Whis to unlock newer levels of power and gain control over their Super Saiyan God abilities. Combining the God Ki that Super Saiyan God grants with the power of a Super Saiyan base form, Goku and Vegeta unlocked Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan aka Super Saiyan Blue – a more sustainable form of the Super Saiyan God transformation. For those who do not know, Super Saiyan God is the technique that Goku used to fight on par with Lord Beerus, the most powerful God of Destruction in the Dragon Ball Multi-Verse. Goku would have probably defeated Beerus if the Saiyan knew of a way to sustain the power back then. With Super Saiyan Blue, Goku and Vegeta have already unlocked an ability that grants them power way beyond that of Super Saiyan God.

So it is safe to say that right now, both Saiyans possess a power that is at least equivalent to Lord Beerus’ power levels.

Goku has even gone a level further. He has unlocked another Godly ability. Called Ultra Instinct, this ability works on the principle of cutting down on the time delay between thought and action by making the body react impulsively via divine intuition. The ability drastically increases the user’s speed and agility to the point even seasoned warriors have trouble following. Ultra instinct was once an ability reserved only for the Gods. Goku is the first mortal to ever unlock it. In the Moro arc, even that proved to be insufficient. So Goku had to train even further to master Ultra Instinct Sign, an ability that transcends Autonomous Ultra Instinct and is more stable than the former.

Vegeta, on the other hand, has already let go of his desire to master Ultra Instinct. That is the exact reason why he could unlock Super Saiyan Blue Evolved – the final form of the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan transformation. Vegeta has decided to take a different route to gain power. He wants to do it in his own terms. Currently, he is in the Planet of Yardrat. He is learning the ancient and potent technique of Spirit Control. Many believe that with Spirit Control, Vegeta can achieve a level of power not even Goku could achieve. Some even claim that Moro will not be defeated by Goku this time like every primary antagonist in Dragon Ball is. Moro will be beaten to a pulp by none other than Vegeta.

Now that is a statement easier said than done. Vegeta has always lived under Goku’s shadow. Even if he amasses enough power to rival Moro, Moro can just use his Energy absorption ability to gain more power. He could even steal energy from his very opponents in the middle of battle. Besides Akira Toriyama remains fixated on furthering Goku’s journey while Vegeta’s journey has reached a sort of impasse! Ever since Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta has been sidetracked and never got the recognition he deserved. Will the Moro Arc be his redemption? This Dragon Ball Theory claims that Vegeta will not only defeat Moro but gain a power that would literally make him a God.

To be precise, Vegeta will become a God of Destruction.

Vegeta Become God of Destruction Dragon Ball

But why!? Now that is the billion-dollar question. You see it is highly improbable that Goku and Vegeta can defeat Moro even in their enhanced states. Even if Goku and Vegeta do manage to gain enough power to stand up against the threat posed by the Magician Moro, we know how easy it is for a Dragon Ball antagonist to pick a card out of his sleeve and turn the tables. We have seen it so many times in the Manga and Anime. We are yet to see Moro transform. Right now he is only absorbing energy. What if he decides to undergo a transformation? Even Moro in his base form is enough to rival Goku’s Ultra Instinct Sign. Imagine of Moro ups the ante!! That would be a game-changer.

And that is why what the Z Fighters need is the power of a God. It is evident that no mortal can stand up against Moro. Only a God can. The power of a Super Saiyan is useless against Moro. He would just use his powers to steal the Super Saiyan aura and add it to his own strength. Super Saiyan Blue will not be the preferred mode of defeating Moro since it is counter-productive. Both Ultra Instinct and Super Saiyan Blue Evolved being no longer useful, the power of a God is what will save the day.

Moro God of Destruction Before Beerus

With Lord Beerus being the useless piece of sh*t he is right now (the guy is not even lifting a finger even though Moro poses a threat to all life in the universe!), the Dragon Ball Universe needs someone who can fill those shoes better. Goku and Vegeta are both eligible candidates for becoming God of Destruction. And here’s the catch – Goku has already declined the offer that Whis made him. Besides, the guy is too pure-hearted and gentle to become a God of Destruction, a role that requires the holder of the mantle to make some really tough choices like wiping out an entire civilization if need be.

Vegeta Become God of Destruction Dragon Ball

And that leaves us with Vegeta, the next candidate in line for becoming the God of Destruction. From the looks of it, Goku is nowhere near mastering Ultra Instinct. And if Akira Toriyama does not pull a Deus Ex Machina this time (we sure hope he does not) like he always does in every damn arc, we can expect some big changes in the journey to achieve ultimate power for our Saiyan Prince. As a God of Destruction, Vegeta can use the power of Hakkai to eliminate Moro and dispel the threat he poses to the cradle of creation. Vegeta finally surpassing Goku in that regard would be a sight for sore eyes for many. It does come up with a catch though.

Vegeta Become God of Destruction Dragon Ball

As a God of Destruction, Vegeta will have new responsibilities to uphold. He will have to take care of not just Earth but the entire universe. And that would mean he would have to leave Earth and the Z Fighter squadron forever. Vegeta replacing Beerus to become the new God of Destruction would finally signal the end of Vegeta’s story in Dragon Ball.

It is just a theory of course. We still do not know what happens to Beerus if Vegeta replaces him. Is he wiped out or does he become a mortal again? What does this mean for Vegeta’s family? And where does Dragon Ball Super go from there??

The last Dragon Ball arc to have been featured in the Manga is the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. Released in the year 2018, the Manga is still on-going and again sees the Dragon Ball Universe in grave danger from an ancient enemy that has broken free of its prison. The official synopsis for the arc reads:

Galactic Patrol Kidnapping. Following the ordeal surrounding Broly, Goku trains with Vegeta in the Gravity Training Room. … Vegeta asks why he needs Buu and Merus explains that a dangerous criminal has broken free of the Galactic Prison and in order to recapture him they need the assistance of the Grand Supreme Kai.
