Captain Marvel 2 Villain and New Characters Will Totally Surprise You

Captain Marvel 2 Villain:

Nothing about Captain Marvel 2 is confirmed yet. We know that writer Megan McDonnell is writing this film to be another major cosmic adventure that expands the cosmos. There have been 3 rumors about the villain of Captain Marvel 2. Getting the villain of this film right for this film is very important because there aren’t a lot of individuals who could actually take on Captain Marvel. So, we need a villain that could bend a space Goddess like Captain Marvel to their will. And, we may have found him.

Captain Marvel Yon Rogg

According to the first rumor that was submitted by Reddit user TheMarvelScoopMaster, Captain Marvel 2 will feature a brand new cosmic villain who is will have a much larger presence in Phase 4. It’ll be none other than Michael Korvac aka Korvac Saga. We’ll return to this in a while.

The second rumor was submitted by Marvel Scooper Mikey Sutton and he suggested that the infamous mutant Rogue would be the villain of Captain Marvel 2. But considering the fact that this film would heavily take place in space, Rogue and the Brotherhood won’t really fit into the cosmic angle of Captain Marvel 2. Later on, we got the confirmation that Rogue was out as she was instead being looked to be the antagonist in the Gambit series.

Marvel Comics Powerful Alien Avengers

Now the third rumor was actually a plot leak, and it suggested that the Alien species called “The Brood” will be the villains in Captain Marvel 2. The Brood would supposedly attack the SWORD base and men would be vulnerable against them. So, Carol would have to assemble the A-Force and take the fight to the home planet of The Brood. While this piece of info started to make sense for many people, we now have to circle back to the first rumor as Roger Wardell says so.

Roger Wardell was right about every one of his scoop related to Avengers: Endgame. And his scoops are actually seem way too imaginative, but they actually turn out to be true later on. So we have to believe that there is some truth to the fact that Korvac Saga is indeed going to be the villain of Captain Marvel 2.

For those uninitiated, the big name cosmic villain “Korvac Saga” is a time-traveling half-human/half-futuristic computer, and has god-like matter altering abilities which were granted to him by The Power Cosmic. What’s interesting is that Korvac Saga actually has major ties to the likes of Galactus and Badoon in the comics. Now that Marvel will have access to all of the Fox properties, they could obviously use Korvac to lay down the foundation for Galactus.

But he isn’t the only one that Wardell has tweeted about. Apparently, we’re supposed to see the Space Pirates, based in the Shi’ar galaxy. They have some connections to some of the X-Men, but mostly consist of rather unfamiliar C-list characters. They might actually be used as initial villains that Captain Marvel would stomp on right in the beginning. Or they may have connections to Sylvester Stallone’s original Guardians aka Guardians 3000.

O yes, Stakar, Aleta, Krugarr, Martinex, Charlie-27 and Mainframe are surely much more than just a post credit scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Very recently, Michael Rosenbaum stated that he & Sylvester Stallone are both expecting to reprise their Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 roles at some point in the future. Here’s what he told ComicBook.com:

“When James told me about it, he says, ‘Hey, you know this is something that could be… It’s not a huge part in the first one, but you’re in the end credits and there’s a good chance you’re gonna come back.’ So I was like, ‘Of course, yeah, let’s do it.'” Recalling a conversation with Stallone about the Guardians 3000, he added, “He’s like, ‘You’re asking me, like I know?’ I’m like, ‘You’re Stallone.’ He goes, ‘Look, we’re in the credits, why wouldn’t they bring us back?’ I go, ‘That’s what I’m saying.’ He’s like, ‘I’m not James Gunn, James can do what he wants but look, if I was James Gunn, I’d put us in the movie.’ I’m like, ‘Thanks, Stallone, thank you.'”

After this, James Gunn also tweeted this:

“For the record, I think [Michael Rosenbaum] was simply saying that the plan was for them to come back in the MCU at some point – not necessarily in Vol 3.”

Rosenbaum wasn’t sure whether it’d be in Vol. 3 or after that, and James Gunn has totally clarified what Roger Wardell is saying in his above tweet. Mone of us actually considered that the Guardians 3000 could be a set up for some other film. It’d be so amazing to see the Guardians 3000 taking an active part in Captain Marvel 2.

They re-teamed up back in 2014 as that was the timeline of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. What have they been up to all this time? Have they been fighting bad guys? Do they actually have connections to Captain Marvel? It’d be so awesome if they do. All these questions will be answered in Captain Marvel 2 as this movie also has to answer what Captain Marvel has been up to all this time between Captain Marvel & Avengers: Endgame. Tagging Guardians 3000 along with Carol, or more importantly, teaming Brie Larson with Sylvester Stallone would certainly be amazing.

Let’s see what happens. Captain Marvel 2 arrives on June 8, 2022.
