Marvel’s Newest Mutant is Stronger Than Scarlet Witch. Will Wanda be Replaced?

Marvel’s Mutant is Stronger Than Scarlet Witch:

The Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful mutants to ever exist. Her reality-altering powers make her an asset to the Avengers but if ticked the wrong way, she can be a double-edged sword. Just like the Hulk has lost control and gone berserk, the Scarlet Witch has also lost control of her powers and done something that could not be termed any less than an Act of God itself. The Scarlet Witch’s powers are fearsome and super scary. But she is no longer the only reality manipulating mutant in town. Marvel has just introduced a new mutant hero whose reality-altering powers could be stronger than Wanda Maximoff’s.

SPOILER ALERT: Major Spoilers for New Mutants #9 by Jonathan Hickman. Enter at your own risk….

Marvel’s Mutant is Stronger Than Scarlet Witch

The X-Men have now founded a new mutant nation. After Magneto’s Genosha, we have the Island country of Krakoa, the new mutant sanctuary. The way to get into Krakoa is simple – there are hundreds of portals scattered all over the Earth that one can pass through to enter Krakoa. Some countries allow their mutants to go through the portal and become Krakoan Citizens. While some countries still believe that mutants have no rights and have barricaded access to these portals. The mutants in these nations do not recognize Krakoa’s sovereignty as a nation and still oppress their mutant minorities.

A prime example is a newly discovered mutant on the pages of New Mutants #9. A Russian Mutant of only 13 years of age named Natashia “Tashi”  Repina has powers beyond anybody’s imagination. Her reality-altering powers are so great that this pubescent teenager might be a walking weapon of mass destruction. She is probably more powerful than Wanda Maximoff by a huge margin.

The Nation of Carnelia is one of those nations that do not believe in the notion of mutant rights and have closed their borders and sealed their local Portal to Krakoa. But the world’s newest mutant is a citizen of this country. She is holed up inside a building with the building surrounded by armed guards equipped with deadly weaponry and with orders to shoot on sight. Yet no soldier is brave enough to go into the building to confront Tashi. Tashi has the power to create a bubble reality of her design within which she has created dangerous plant and animal-based life forms as well as shown the ability to change her physiology.

When the New Mutants try to calm her down, Tashi lashes out and almost kills everyone. She changes her form, directly affects some of the members of the new Mutants team, leaving only Cypher behind. Cypher is then forced to fall back into the arms of some really unlikely allies to bring back Tashi into reality and stop her from destroying everything.
