Selfies. Everyone, everywhere has done them. We do them alone and we do them with friends. I’m pretty sure that all of us have taken a selfie, looked at it and decided, “maybe I should throw this one out.”
Well, some people apparently either don’t care, or are confused about what they think looks good enough to share with the world. Let’s look at some selfies that in my opinion, should have been kept to themselves.
1) Don’t Rush, Flush
There is no selfie in the world that is so important to take that you can’t flush the toilet first. Call me crazy, but I think it detracts from the overall allure.
2) Figure out Photoshop
Photoshop is a popular tool designed to enhance or tweak your favorite images and it is used everywhere. If you decide to use it for the selfies you are sending out, take the time to figure out what you are doing first. Then again, maybe this pic is legit?
3) What message are you trying to say?
When we send our selfies out into cyberspace, we have to think about who might see them and how they will be interpreted. What do you think was the reaction of people who cared about this girl might have been after seeing this selfie?
4) Bro, Really?
Have a little consideration for your friends. Maybe they don’t want to be included in your selfie. Its always polite to ask them first.
5) Mirror, mirror on the wall
Bathrooms are a popular place for selfie-taking. It’s always a good idea to remember that the mirror doesn’t lie and may sometimes reveal a side of us that is somewhat unflattering.
6) This babysitter has got to go
Babysitting requires responsibility. If you are entrusted with the safety and welfare of a child, please don’t include him/her in booty shot selfies. Thank you.
7) What the duck?
The “duck face” is a popular pose for many selfie takers. I guess the purpose is to make the lips appear fuller with a pouty expression. There is, however, a limit to the amount of poutiness that is considered sexy.
8) Man Duck
Females aren’t the only ones to utilize the duckface to help show off how sexy they are.
9) ExcuseMe?
Again, its important to take into consideration the people in the background watching you take your selfie. What message is it you are trying to convey and do you think they will understand?
10) Sellotape Selfies
Apparently this a new trend among habitual selfie takers. You simply wrap your face in clear tape and take the picture. Why you ask? Excellent question!
So people, remember that once you release your pics to cyberspace, they can be seen by anyone. I suggest you take care of your selfies.
