5 Reasons Why Gay Marriages Should Be Legalized In India

I personally believe that marriage is a sacred union between man and woman, a form of showcasing their love to their partners and the world. I also believe that our country was founded on the principle that everybody has the right to the pursuit of happiness. And if a man marrying a man or a woman marrying a woman makes them happy then why not? I do not believe it affects anyone negatively. Its not just a religious but a political debate as well. Let me discuss my point of view with you about that-
5 Reasons why gay marriages should be legalized in India-

Population control

source

If we actually look at the country as a whole , the population is touching the skies to be honest.  It seriously needs to be planned and controlled, sounds a bit amusing to some people, but trust me, it’s a very real issue and needs to be looked into. And if you think about it this way , Gay marriages totally support it!

Adoption

source

Not only the population will fall down but also children will be adopted and finally have parents who genuinely will want to take care of them. Who is so heartless to not like a happy family? If you are, shame! Think about it. Bad idea? I beg to differ.

Freedom

source

If it’s a people’s government and we’re free to express ourselves, why is marrying the same sex such a questionable event and considered to be against the Indian culture? I respect people who wish to follow a sort of culture, but please, let other people make their own. Nobody has the right to interrupt and question somebody’s personal decisions. Live and let live. Peace.

Respect

source

As much as you want the society to respect your freedom and opinions, we all must try respect someone else’s too right? Even if you think its absurd , even if you think its not natural, which by the way it is completely, and even if you think it wont work, it doesn’t even matter. Can’t you see? Its none of your business. Learn to mind your own. We can respect and we should, that’s all I am saying.

Ofcourse, LOVE!

source

Marriage is a legal way of binding together two people who are in love and I think its beautiful. Love does not know any language, culture, laws and does not ask the society before happening. It just happens.  Its high time we just accept it that way and spread happiness. If you like something then you should be allowed to put a ring on it. Of course, love is blind, but why are we?

Shoutouts to all the gay and lesbian people out there! I’m with you, do your thing! And please don’t hide under the sheets because of this hypocrite society and taboos. Be yourself and be proud of it. You were born this way.
Maybe the law doesn’t allow your relationship legally, but your hearts do. So don’t be afraid. Someday things will change for the better. Don’t lose hope.
