The DCEU franchise has been struggling a lot to impress the audience. The franchise is still loved by the audience and they still wait for their films for some reason. The reason is the characters. Sometimes their films don’t work at the box office. But still, the appearance of the characters and the way they are portrayed on screen are always loved by the audience. One good thing about DCEU is that they portray the superheroes and villains exactly like their appearance in the comics. Now the superheroes had their share of iconic moments throughout their DCEU journey. Let’s have a look at a few of them.
1. Harley Quinn – Jailbreak
The character of Harley Quinn made its debut in 2016’s Suicide Squad. A solo movie on the character was made in 2020, titled Birds of Prey. But the film bombed despite getting good reviews. She teamed up with The Huntress and Black Canary in the movie. But she also has an iconic scene in this movie. It is the jailbreak scene. For getting Cassandra out of jail, Harley takes out all the guards through non-lethal methods and also fights against other inmates and thugs that showcase her fearless side.
2. The Flash – Reversing time

When Justice League was released in 2017, it did not work well at the box office. There was a demand for Snyder Cut since that time. When Snyder Cut was released this year, it received a more positive response. The film focused on every character. Here when Barry Allen aka The Flash appears for the first time, he saves Iris West from a car crash. Later towards the end of the film, the team almost loses the final battle but it is Barry Allen who saves them. Barry enters the Speed Force and turns back time to before the explosion. It is one of the best moments till now in the DCEU franchise.
3. Batman – Warehouse Battle
There is no doubt in the fact that Batman’s most iconic DCEU scene was his warehouse battle. His “Do you bleed?” moment was amazing. Both of his Batmobile scenes from BvS and the Snyder Cut were awesome. And his fight against Superman was visually pleasing. But nothing tops his Warehouse battle where he unleashed his inner Arkham fighter upon KG Beast’s henchmen.
4. Superman – The first flight
DCEU officially started in 2013 with the release of Man of Steel. This one was a success despite being criticized for certain reasons. It was a kind of reboot and the origin story of Superman was told again. The best part of the film was where Superman donned his superhero costume for the first time and tested his abilities. Clark realized that he can fly and the scene of his first flight is one of the best scenes yet in the DCEU. He is happy, confused and also destroys a mountain while struggling with his powers. This is something that the DC fans expect from Superman.
5. Aquaman – Earning the trident of Atlan
Aquaman was a film that brought some hope for the DCEU franchise in 2018. The film grossed around $1billion at the box office. This was rare till that time in the DCEU. One major reason behind the success of the film was Jason Momoa, who played the lead role. One of the best scenes of the film is the one where Arthur and Mera reunite with Atlanna, Arthur’s mother. Arthur proceeds to reclaim the Trident of Atlan for help in the final battle. Apart from that, we also got to see him in a completely different suit which is the original suit as shown in the comics.
6. Cyborg – Refuting the Mother Boxes
Cyborg’s debut in Justice League did not work well since the film flopped. Till now, the future of the character in the DCEU is uncertain. But he is still loved by the audience. Now we got to know more about the character in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Here is where he lived his iconic moment. Towards the end of the film, Victor is seduced by the Mother Boxes since they offer to fix him. Cyborg responds by saying, “I’m not broken and I’m not alone”. This way, he turns them away and accepts the rest of the team as his new family.
7. Shazam – Bringing the family together
DCEU’s dark tone has always been a subject of criticism. But 2019’s Shazam! changed this trend. The movie had a lighthearted tone except for the scenes involving the villain and Billy Batson’s mother abandoning him. Even the best moment of Shazam is not too dark. Towards the end of the film, Billy used the stuff to share his powers with his siblings. This led them to turn into grown-up superheroes. They work together to defeat Thaddeus Sivana and the Seven Deadly Sins. This also shows Billy’s trust in his newfound family.
8. Wonder Woman – No man’s land
Wonder Woman was introduced in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Before the release of Justice League, the character was lucky enough to get her standalone movie that focused on the origin of her character and her home Themyscira. In one of the scenes, Diana goes to the No Man’s Land on her own, which Steve Trevor considered as impossible. She walks alone as the enemies fire at her, deflecting bullets in her wristbands and showing her true capabilities. Steve along with the others follows her and this marks a huge turn for them.
