Other Shows to Watch on Disney+ If You’re Loving Loki
1. Lost
Lost is one of the most popular television shows of all time. The best thing about Lost is that it has elements of the supernatural as well as science fiction. The series follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner flying between Sydney and Los Angeles when the plane crashes on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. The episodes follow the main storyline on the island followed by flashback sequences that explore more about the characters. The element of time travel is also present in Loki and will be explored more in other episodes.
2. Agent Carter
Agent Carter was based on the character Peggy Carter we saw on Captain America: The First Avenger. Somewhere it can be said that Marvel Studios tried its luck on television series a long time ago. Agent Carter is also set in the MCU. It ran for two seasons with a total of 18 episodes. In the series, Peggy Carter tries to balance her life as a secret agent with that of a single woman in 1940s America. Even here, a few of the characters are shown with mysterious behavior which is also the same in Disney+’s Loki.
3. WandaVision
WandaVision was Marvel Studios’ attempt at TV series after a long time. It takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Wanda and Vision are seen somewhere leading a happy life until the evil forces from outside try to destroy their happy life. The one reason to watch this series is that it starts on a comedy note but ends on a very emotional note that will leave most of you in tears. Here, Wanda tries not to return to that moment where she lost Vision. A similar thing is tried in Loki by the main character who tries to prevent his death after he gets to see his future.
4. Spider-Man
The 1994 series Spider-Man, also known as Spider-Man: The Animated Series was the first on-screen appearance of Spider-Man. The series revolves around Spider-Man and his alter ego Peter Parker during his college years at Empire State University. When the series starts, Peter has already gained his powers and is a part-time freelance photographer for the Daily Bugle. It features some classic villains like Green Goblin, Lizard, Shocker, Doctor Octopus, Mysterio, Vulture, Venom, and more. If you love the superhero elements of Loki, then you will surely enjoy this one.
5. Phineas and Ferb
Phineas and Ferb have been some of the most popular animated music-comedy. The animated series follows Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher, who are between eight and ten years old on summer vacation. The boys are seen embarking on a new project every day and they are mostly unrealistic if you consider the protagonists’ ages. This annoys their older sister Candace who tries to reveal their shenanigans to her and Phineas’ mother, Linda Dlynn-Fletcher, and Ferb’s father, Lawrence Fletcher. The characters here are very mischievous. This is also the same in Loki who is known as the God of Mischief.
6. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
After WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was released on Disney+. The series had a lot of action in comparison to WandaVision. The series developed two characters, especially Falcon, who got less screen space in comparison to other characters. The series continued after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The series focused on the characters’ life after the retirement of Captain America and deals with grief. This is something that will be loved by the MCU fans. It was a quick one-season show, just like Loki.
7. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the first series to be set in the MCU. It was created by Joss Whedon, who was also the director of the first two Avengers films. In this series, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents deal with different cases and enemies. This includes HYDRA, Inhumans, Life Model Decoys, alien species like Kree and Chronicoms, and time travel. The episodes directly cross over with MCU films and other television series. Here the characters investigate the ongoings all around the world, which is similar just like Loki’s TVA.
8. The X-Files
The science-fiction drama television series The X-Files ran for eleven seasons from 2002 to 2018. The X-Files revolves around FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, who investigate the X-Files: marginalized, unsolved cases that involve paranormal phenomena. Mulder believes that the aliens and the paranormal exist and Skully is a medical doctor who is assigned to scientifically analyze Mulder’s discoveries. The series is about the paranormal and the aliens. That is one reason to keep the audience engaged just like MCU’s Loki.
9. X-Men: The Animated Series
X-Men: The Animated Series was another attempt by Marvel Comics after the pilot, X-Men: Pryde of X-Men was not so successful. It features X-Men similar in look and line-up to the early 1990s X-Men drawn by Jim Lee and is composed of Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Jean Grey, Professor X along with the original character Morph. The series also deals with various social issues. There are lots of exciting and engaging action sequences in the show that will keep you engaged. It has more action than Loki and that is one reason why you should watch it.
10. Marvel Studios: Legends
Marvel Studios: Legends is a docuseries from Marvel. It is based on the Marvel Comics characters and the things that appear in the MCU. Every episode showcases one character or object with footage from the previous MCU films and highlights their best moments from the MCU. Now considering that this is a docuseries, it does not have many thrills and action like MCU’s other films and TV series. Every episode focuses on one specific superhero. This also includes Loki. Now if you are a fan of Loki, you will love watching that episode. The same applies to the other superheroes whose best moments are showcased on this TV series.
