Future Set Ups Marvel Seems to Have Forgotten About

Teasers Marvel Has Forgotten:

If there is one more thing other than the special effects, screenplay, action, and the cast of MCU that is mind-blowing and famous, that would be the easter eggs and post-credits that send us into euphoria. One easter egg in one Marvel movie and fan theories start flooding in.

So, it’s quite a disappointment that Marvel has not addressed many such easter eggs that had us discussing for years. Find out the teasers that Marvel showed in the movies but forgot about later.

 1. Captain America’s Shield With Tony Stark

Iron Man 2 came out a year prior to Captain America: The First Avenger.  The former showed the famous shield with Tony Stark before it was introduced in Captain America’s movie. But as Captain America: The First Avenger released, we learned that the shield was built by Howard Stark. So, we are left with no explanation but only wonder if that was a prototype shield at Tony’s lab.

 2. Adam Warlock

In Marvel Comics, Adam Warlock was a crucial part of the Infinity War and End Game. MCU has teased about Adam multiple times for many years only to stretch our curiosity further. In the post-credits of Thor: The Dark World, Warlock cocoon was shown in the backdrop of the Collector’s ship. Furthermore, it was later spotted again with Ayesha of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

 3. Peter Parker’s Principal Office

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, young Peter was summoned by principal Morita in his office. Behind their conversation, what we spotted in the room was a picture of his grandfather, Jim Morita, who was a Howling Commando in Captain America: The First Avenger. But we have to hold on to our horses as that picture reference hasn’t meant anything yet.

 4. Beta Ray Bill

Teasers Marvel Has Forgotten

Marvel comic character, Beta Ray Bill who is equally worthy of the Mjolnir is the true wielder of Stormbreaker that was introduced to us in Avengers: Infinity War. Though in the MCU, Thor wields the ancient hammer, we do see a statue of Beta Ray Bill on Grand Master’s palace as a Champion of Sekar in Thor: Ragnarok. There were plans to introduce him to the movie but he was cut from it to keep the film short. However, we are expecting the hero in the future in MCU phases 4 and 5.

 5. Namor, The Submariner

Black Panther 2 Villains

In Avengers: Endgame, we watch Okoye mention the underwater earthquakes off the coast of Wakanda to Black Widow. Theories suggest that it could have been a reference to Namor as Atlantis was his home. Even in Iron Man 2, we had Oracle Corporation that was also purchased by Namor in the comics. Marvel Studios couldn’t use him earlier as his right were sold to Universal Studios. He is expected to be introduced in MCU next slate in either Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness or Black Panther 2.

 6. Howard The Duck

Avengers: Endgame Marvel

Guardians Of The Galaxy maker James Gunn is a fan of Howard The Duck. The character has made several cameos in the franchise and in the final battle of Avengers: Endgame. A standalone film on Howard The         Duck was made in 1986 which bombed terribly. Therefore it’s less likely if the studios would take the risk.

 7. Captain America’s Successor

Marvel Superhero Could Replace Captain America

Most of us saw Iron Man’s impending death in Avengers: Endgame but what we didn’t expect was Falcon to carry the mantle of Captain America. Cap’s retirement in Endgame was no surprise at all. But what baffled us was his not choosing Bucky Barnes as his successor. When Bucky wielded the Shield in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we thought that he’d be the next Captain America.

 8. Doctor Strange In Winter Soldier

When Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon were confronting the Hydra agent, Jasper, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He revealed some high profile secrets and also mentioned some names like Stephen Strange aka Doctor Strange. We thought it meant Doctor Strange movie was near but it came after a long time.

 9. Tony Stark’s Cameo In The Incredible Hulk

Teasers Marvel Has Forgotten

In the post-credits of The Incredible Hulk movie, RDJ makes a surprising cameo as Tony Stark who drops by to meet General Ross. Tony discusses assembling a team called Avengers, but Hulk was on an exile. As Marvel couldn’t follow up on that scene due to the fall out with The Incredible Hulk star Edward Norton who was replaced by Mark Ruffalo, the studios added a short sequence “The Consultant” to Thor DVD as an explanation.

 10. The Leader

Teasers Marvel Has Forgotten

If there is one Marvel villain that we are eagerly looking forward to in the next phase, that would be Hulk’s biggest archenemy, Dr. Samuel Sterns aka the Leader. His rise was teased in The Incredible Hulk but after Edward Norton’s exit, we never got a sequel nor was the villain mentioned again.
