DC Comics Just Revealed The Joker’s Truly Insane Origin Story

DC Comics Revealed Origin Story of Joker:

Ever wondered what actually made the Joker this evil mass-murdering clown with a sickening smile? Sure we have all heard the story of how a poor guy down on his luck fell into a vat of hazardous chemicals and had his skin and hair bleached. But what actually made the joker the terror he is known as today? Even if we take the conventional origin story of the clown prince of crime, there are tons of possibilities that have been always overlooked. This begs the question – Was Joker an accident or an experiment? Was he always meant to be there at that exact point of time?

As the upcoming story arc, The Joker War is set to hit the stands, the stage has been set for a flurry of groundbreaking revelations. The Joker coming into the scene is what many would call after reading the truth to be a pre-planned event too long in the making. Joker’s new girlfriend Punch Line is about to set Gotham ablaze with her antics in The Joker War. A recurring demon from Batman’s past – Cat Woman, has resurfaced to give Batman some vital piece of information on the true tale of the Joker, the one that started it all. She reveals how Joker became the only nightmare that could get under Batman’s head and give him sleepless nights!

Cat Woman reveals a rather interesting story. A mysterious individual called the Designer once invited Cat Woman, the Riddler, Penguin, and the Joker to a gathering. He intended to tell the villains his life story of how he met his greatest rival and nemesis and how he had to change his strategy to finally get past his enemy.

DC Comics Revealed Origin Story of Joker

In time, I wasn’t plotting crimes for personal gain. I was simply trying to beat the damned detective at his own game. Victory eluded me at every turn, and I was driven to the brink of madness and beyond… which is where a simple truth presented itself to me, and changed my life. I had been playing the game on the detective’s terms. Taking one step forward past each step he had taken to beat me. If I designed a crime with one degree of complexity, he would come back with two degrees of complexity in his means of defeating me. Beating him would require an exponential leap forward.

The Designer would take each villain into a room one by one, trying to help them evolve their level and scale of thinking, for them to have that ‘exponential’ leap forward. The last in the queue was the Joker. He goes into the room and his time inside is more than the rest of them combined. Suddenly the Designer bursts out of the room and orders his men to kill all four of them. He explains that the Joker made a joke that was too offensive. But Cat Woman had seen Joker after he had come out of the room. Every one of them managed to escape. But the Joker was no longer the same man who had gone into the room.

His eyes said it all. He was now changed. The Designer, either knowingly or unknowingly, had managed to turn the Joker into a Criminal Genius who could beat Batman in his own game. He was no longer a Clown but the new Clown Prince of Crime, the Terror that would rock Gotham City for eternity. The origin story of the Joker has been changed forever. What happens next will affect Batman and the DC Universe in a big way.

The last movie to be released under the DC banner was Joker. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:

Forever alone in a crowd, failed comedian Arthur Fleck seeks connection as he walks the streets of Gotham City. Arthur wears two masks — the one he paints for his day job as a clown, and the guise he projects in a futile attempt to feel like he’s part of the world around him. Isolated, bullied and disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as the Joker.
