Thanos Vs Captain Marvel – Here’s How Captain Marvel Could Defeat Thanos in Avengers 4!

Thanos Vs Captain Marvel: Who Do You Bet On?

The Infinity War is the greatest comic-book event in the MCU till now. Since the time it began with Iron Man in 2008, there have been 18 Marvel films in total and they have led us to the mother of all clashes – Thanos and his army on one side while the entire Avengers Assemble on the other side. It was totally epic and worth the wait.

As Thanos unleashed a terrible havoc on Earth for the Infinity Stones, the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy put their best defense forward and did everything possible to stop the Mad Titan, but they were hopelessly out-manned and overpowered by the might of Thanos. In the end, he managed to assemble an Infinity gauntlet with all the six stones and wiped off half the humanity at the snap of his fingers.

Half of the superheroes also died including Dr. Strange, Spiderman, Bucky, Black Panther, All Guardians except Rocket etc. In the post-credits, we saw Mariah Hill turning into ash and subsequently Nick Fury dying but not before sending a distress signal to none other than Captain Marvel.

Thanos Vs Captain Marvel, This is a fight that we will surely get to see next year in Avengers 4. As said by Kevin Feige himself, Captain Marvel is the strongest Superhero to ever be put on the big screen. Here’s what he said:

“With Captain Marvel, there’s so much potential in the comics and there have been so many incarnations of her powers and the characters who’ve had that mantle that we’ve been focusing in on exactly how do we tell her origin. How does it fit into the cosmic side of our universe? How does it fit into what we’re doing with the next Avengers movies?”

He added:

Marvel President Kevin Feige

“All of the Marvel characters have flaws to them, all of them have a deep humanity to them. With Captain Marvel, she is as powerful a character as we’ve ever put in a movie. Her powers are off the charts, and when she’s introduced, she will be by far the strongest character we’ve ever had. It’s important, then, to counterbalance that with someone who feels real. She needs to have a humanity to tap into.”

So, the strongest Superhero vs. the strongest villain! Avengers 4 is going to be huge! With Thor already being at the peak of his strength, and an even more powerful Superhero coming in, the odds for Thanos do seem thin. But let’s pit Captain Marvel solo against the Mad Titan, and find out that who among the two would come out on top!

The Mad Titan

Infinity War Infinity gauntlet

Thanos is notably the biggest villain the Avengers have ever had to face. He is the ultimate big bad of the entire Marvel universe and is famous for conquering entire universes in the multiverse. He just becomes unbeatable with the number of powers he has which are the Superhuman strength, durability, endurance, and intelligence, Energy manipulation, Telepathy, Telekinesis, teleportation, and Longevity. Along with this, Thanos gets hold of the Infinity Gauntlet which contains the 6 infinity stones that could wipe out the entire universe with just one blow.

He is known as the Mad Titan by the galactic community and the Dark Lord by his most loyal underlings. He is a very powerful cosmic warlord that rules over a very distant region in outer space. Along with all the powers mentioned above, he commands two massive armies known as the Chitauri and the Outriders.

Along with his armies, his loyal generals who are also his children in the MCU are a part of his very evil Black Order. The members of The Black Order include Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian and Corvus Glaive. He is also the father of Nebula and Gamora, and with the use of the Infinity Stones, he can control all of the cosmic singularities and with the powers of this unified team combined, he could take out any being in the entire multiverse. But the entire Black Order has been vanquished and a large chunk of ‘Outriders’ is also gone.

The Most Powerful Avenger

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel entered the air-force to portray her life-long dream of flying. She was later recruited as an intelligence agent for CIA because of her stellar performance, superb combat skills and natural intellect and that is where she met Nick Fury. Later she even took a position with NASA and from here on her mortal enemy Col. Yon Rogg kidnapped her and used her as bait against Mar-Vell as the two had a history of conflicts.

So, here Carol was caught in the middle of a fierce battle, and along with Mar-Vell, she was present in an explosion of a Kree Psyche-Magneton device. This is where Danvers became Captain Marvel as the energy bombardment somehow caused Carol’s genetic structure to be melded with Mar-Vell’s and Earth got a perfect hybrid of Kree and human genes in addition with Mar-vell’s Kree knowledge, training and a massive set of powers.

Captain Marvel is insanely powerful as she possesses much more than the cliché Super Strength, Speed, Stamina, Flight, and Durability. Along with these basic powers, she has a sixth sense which is a precognitive ability that allows her to subconsciously recognize danger even before it occurs, and even predict an enemy’s attacks even before they make them.

Added to this, she has enormously strong energy blasts, moreover, she can even absorb energy and become even stronger with her attacks. She can survive in space and vacuum, defy and control gravity around others as well!

But the power that actually makes her the strongest of all is that she transforms into her ultimate form which is called Binary. This allows her to reach her peak strength and go even beyond that. The level of her strength in Binary cannot be calculated practically and all her attacks and abilities that she possesses become even stronger. She even gains a wider range of abilities too. In her Binary form, her strength and flying ability get amplified which allows her to go even faster than the light-speed!

Thanos poses a threat to the existence of life itself and recently we saw that he disintegrated half the population of the entire Universe using the Infinity Gauntlet. But the fact that the most powerful Superhero of MCU will be upon him should actually threaten him! Captain Marvel’s powers and abilities do outshine Thanos’.

Still, Thanos is no Puny God to be under-estimated especially after what he recently did! Thanos has accomplished wonders when it comes to the greatest achievements of Villainy! So, having the Infinity Stones and going against Captain Marvel with the Infinity Stones.

Without those 6 singularities of Infinite powers, the fight would have been fairly even, but the odds do shift in the favor of Thanos when he has 6 of those Stones.

But Carol can absorb energy, so she could actually take it all in for long enough that she reaches close to Thanos to make a winning blow. Plus if she goes Binary from here, it could be the endgame for Thanos. Even the gauntlet has been destroyed, so once she somehow gets rid of those Infinity Stones, Thanos will be obliterated! Her Binary form is too strong for anyone let alone for Thanos.

Captain Marvel will be introduced into the MCU with her solo movie based in 1980’s featuring Kree-Skrulls inter-galactic war. We will see her range of powers for the very first time, it will help us get a sense of proportion of her abilities and if it’s similar to comics or even beyond it. Here is the official movie synopsis:

“The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.  Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
