[lazyimage][/lazyimage]Deadline day and surprises. A combination which turns the world upside down of every supporter. It’s a day when all the football clubs go absolutely bananas, apples, oranges and what not. The football clubs hunt down the players & get them to sign the contract before the clock hits the last moment. Premier League clubs spent more than £155m on transfer deadline day as the summer window outlay reached a record £1.165bn. Are the numbers staggering? Yes. All hell breaks loose when it’s the deadline day & especially when it has to do with Premier League.

Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart signed for Italian side Torino on loan for the rest of the season while his teammates Wilfried Bony, Samir Nasir & Elaquim Mangala joined Premier League club Stoke city, La Liga clubs Sevilla & Valencia on loan respectively. Sunderland signed Gabon international midfielder Didier Ndong from Lorient for £13.6m. Burnley didn’t leave behind & signed Jeff Hendrick £10.5m record signing from Derby county. Chelsea signed Marcos Alonso for £23m from Fiorentina but what got people talking was the re-signing of David Luiz from PSG for £32m. The 2015-16 Premier League winners Leicester City signed Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon for a fee around £30m. Slaven Bilic snapped up Alvaro Arbeloa on loan from Real Madrid. Tottenham Hotspur made a bid for Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko & it went through for a fee of £30m. Moussa snubbed Everton for the Spurs move. Tottenham Hotspur also signed Marseille winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou for £9m on a five-year deal. Liverpool offloaded Mario Balotelli to FC Nice on a free transfer.

So many surprises. So many snubs. So much money spent. The excitement levels explode every year when the owners unleash their wealth to sign the top players.
