But, the reasons for which the cancellation of Marvel Television Series one of the most popular and successful series, Luke Cage, has been revealed. According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, sources claimed that the real reason behind the cancellation was the differences both parties share in the creative department. Things aren’t clear at the moment whether it is between the showrunner Cheo Hodari and Marvel TV or is it between Netflix and Marvel.

But, there are also reports that both the parties have had different views in terms of the plan of working on the third season of Luke Cage. However, it’s hard to say that this is one of the major reasons of this cancellation but maybe it’s just the result of the issue they both have in the creative department of the team. A joint statement has been released from Marvel and Netflix in which they both have written down the reason of the split which isn’t reflecting any sort of disagreement between them. The statement was stated as,

In the statement, we can see that both the parties are showing a lot of praise to the work of each other and it’s normal to see a statement like this making its way out from the rooms of these companies. But, it was series’ show runner Coker who expressed his views on the split and also seems to not be aware of the official statement. But he expressed his share of gratitude towards the companies by tweeting,

“A lot of memories, a lot of individual thank you call to make. Just want to say thank you to Marvel, Netflix, the best Writer’s room, cast, crew, the Midnight Hour, all those who graced the stage at Harlem’s Paradise and the most incredible fan base in the world. Forward always…”

The actor who has played the role of Luke Cage has also expressed his admiration and love for the character he has played for a period of two seasons by stating,

“It’s fun man. It just inspires me because you really begin to take for granted all this superhero stuff compared to when you were younger. It was sort of a dream back then, where you pretend to be this superhero, you pretend to do all these things you couldn’t do. You jump off things, pretend to fly, put towels on your neck and do all these silly things. Being able to be a fully grown man in all that, doing it at this high level is just great. And it helps when you got all these people who are all really into this make believe world that we’re doing right now.”
