How Scarlet Witch Can Be The Key To Save The Multiverse In Phase 4
The Marvel Cinematic Universe characters have been able to prove their worth with the versatility of the characters that exist in this cinematic universe. This was something that is rather difficult to do but Marvel was able to do it with the multiple projects that they helmed around these characters. We have a clear idea of how a character we have seen as a hero in the movies could end up being a proper villain in the movie. The due credit has to be given to the range of shows that have been able to explore narratives of the characters on a much more personal note. There is a chance that Scarlet Witch can be the key to saving the multiverse from Doctor Strange in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.
What If…?
What If…? is one of the most interesting additions to the various projects as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Disney+ show actually showed us in a massive way how bad things could have gone in the MCU. There were various narratives that allowed it to explore quite drastic tales and at times it almost felt that Marvel wasn’t holding back any of the possibilities. One of the most interesting episodes of these has to be the one where we see the becoming of Doctor Strange Supreme. It gives us a fair idea of what being opposite the sorcerer supreme could be like. But considering the show is indicating at fair possibilities there is a chance it was just a hint of what Strange could end up being.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness
Nothing much is known about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness except for the cast of characters we might get to see. The movie will feature Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff in a major role. She was last seen in her true form of Scarlet Witch around the end of WandaVision. The series was able to give us a glance at the true levels of the powers of the character. But there’s no idea regarding who might end up playing the main antagonist in the movie. Fans have been theorizing the idea of the Scarlet Witch actually being the villain. But at the same time, we have already witnessed a Doctor Strange who can fall to his temptations.
Doctor Strange as the Antagonist
If Doctor Strange actually does happen to make such a move then we can be sure that Scarlet Witch will be the appropriate hero to stop him. We cannot actually expect the Ancient One or the Watcher making an appearance to intervene with Strange. WandaVision was able to confirm the fact that Wanda is actually more powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme. This clearly paves the way for Doctor Strange who falls victim to his own ego and considering the dire circumstances of the multiverse can actually be a rather big problem. It could be in continuation to the narrative of Strange already appearing a bit careless and bending rules in the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Definitely Doctor Strange won’t actually be a villain of the likes of What If…? considering the latter is canon to the MCU and we won’t definitely have two MCU characters at the same time. We even witnessed another Strange in the episode which made us aware of the fact that he has knowledge regarding this driven persona. He says: “This is arrogance. This is our need to fix everything. It’s what drove us to study the mystic arts in the first place.” But we can assume that the loss could be on the basis of Wong and Christine. At the end of the day, we can clearly depend on Scarlet Witch to protect the universe from Dr. Strange himself.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness will be released on May 6, 2022.
