5 Worst and 5 Best Plans Of The Avengers in MCU

Apart from Iron Man, Avengers is also another reason why MCU has been so successful. The Avengers have fought a large number of enemies like Loki, Ultron, and Thanos. These face-offs are something that people love to see on the big screen. The best part here is that the Avengers never get defeated. But they need a plan for that and we have seen them in the movies. But the main thing here is that a few of them have been the best and the others have been the worst. Let’s check out the worst and best plans of the Avengers.

5 Best Plans of the Avengers

1. Black Widow closes the Chitauri portal when the other Avengers held them off

The destruction of New York and other places in 2012’s The Avengers might have been one of the worst things that happened in MCU. The main culprit was Loki who aimed to conquer overall. He selected New York as the location where the Chitauri would enter through a portal. Hawkeye was seen shooting down targets from one point. Iron Man was taking down Chitauri Leviathans. Thor attacked anything that came out of the portal and Hulk was smashing everything. But Black Widow was close to the portal. With individual tasks being assigned, they successfully stopped the invasion.

2. Captain America’s plan to ambush Crossbones

Best Plans Of The Avengers

The opening scene of Captain America: Civil War opened in Lagos, Nigeria. The Avengers planned to attack Crossbones aka Rumlow. He stole a biological weapon from a Lagos lab. The Avengers did their best to secure the weapon he stole. The team had a perfect plan. First, they took down Rumlow’s men outside and inside the lab. After Rumlow runs away, the Avengers follow him and they split up and take down Rumlow’s men one by one. The one thing that spoiled all of this was Rumlow killing himself and eventually, that led to the death of many civilians.

3. The Time Heist

The Avengers did whatever they could to stop Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. But still, Thanos got his hands on all the six Infinity Stones. He wiped out half of the life in the universe. In Avengers: Endgame, the team decided to finish what Thanos started. They decided to undo the damage caused by Thanos and bring everybody back. So they had only one option and that was to retrieve the Infinity Stones from the past. The best part here was that the team did extensive research about the stones in the past with the use of the limited supply of Pym particles.

4. Attack HYDRA bases to flush out Strucker

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it was revealed that HYDRA has been operating secretly inside S.H.I.E.L.D. So the opening scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron opened with a scene where the team took down the remnants of HYDRA. The Avengers identified the bases of HYDRA and destroyed them one after another. They finally ended HYDRA by defeating Baron Wolfgang von Strucker. Loki’s scepter was also retrieved in this process. The plan of Captain America for working together was accomplished here.

5. Ambush Thanos on Titan by employing their big-hitters

Best Plans Of The Avengers

Thanos wiped out half of the universe in Avengers: Infinity War. After that, he disappeared somewhere. After Captain Marvel rescued Tony Stark and Nebula in space, the Avengers started to search for Thanos. He was then found on a planet alone without any army protecting him. The Avengers then decided to attack Thanos and retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet. Thor also cut off Thanos’ hand that had the Infinity Gauntlet. But they found out that Thanos had destroyed the stones.

5 Worst Plans of the Avengers

1. Sent Captain America to fight Loki

There is no doubt that Captain America was the first Avenger. The serum made him strong. But he should have remembered that he cannot fight someone like Loki. This is because Loki is from outer space and Captain America is still a human being. When Loki initially started his invasion, Captain America was sent to stop Loki. But he was easily defeated by Loki. The backup plan here was that Black Widow would shoot at Loki with the Quinjet canon. But this could have killed many innocent people.

2. Keeps the Infinity Stones within the Battle of Earth

Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor planned to kill Thanos before he can reach the Infinity Gauntlet. But he turned out to be too powerful. The resurrected Avengers then arrived to help. The next plan was to return the Stones to their original timeline. The timing of this plan was completely wrong. It would have been better to hand over the Stones to Captain Marvel so that she can leave the battle and Thanos cannot reach the Infinity Gauntlet. Because of this, Thanos almost won but was defeated when Tony Stark sacrificed himself.

3. Captain America’s team gets caught as a distraction

Bucky Barnes was framed by Helmut Zemo in the bombing of the UN and the murder of King T’Chaka. Steve Rogers was trying his best to save Bucky. When Captain America’s team found out about Zemo, they planned to take him down together but they could not evade Tony Stark’s team. So Sam came up with a new plan. He asked Steve and Bucky to escape while they distract Tony Stark’s team. The plan worked but Captain America’s team got captured for no reason and was branded as criminals.

4. Tony Stark and Bruce Banner’s Ultron program

When Loki’s scepter was retrieved from Strucker, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner decided to create an A.I. named Ultron that would protect the world. But Ultron turned out to be evil. He even took down J.A.R.V.I.S., Stark’s A.I., and then attacked the Avengers at their headquarters. They stole the scepter and the Avengers were forced to retrieve it again. With Wanda on Ultron’s side, she made Hulk go on a rampage which forced the Avengers to go into hiding and plan something to take down Ultron.

5. Fighting Thanos’ Army in Wakanda without any proper planning

We all remember the final battle sequence of Avengers: Infinity War. One was happening in Wakanda and the other one was in space. But there is a big flaw in Wakanda’s battle sequence. Everyone knows that Wakanda is the best in terms of technology and weapons. The combination could have easily defeated Thanos’ army. But all of them decided to go against Thanos’ army without any advanced weapons. The worst part here was that the Wakandan army and the others were fighting Thanos’ forces in an open field. Hulk could have been of some help but unfortunately, Bruce Banner was not able to transform himself into green throughout the movie.

So these were the worst and the best plans of the Avengers according to us.
