10 Unsung Heroes of MCU Who Don’t Get Enough Credit

MCU is known for its superheroes that are fearless. They care nothing about their own lives and try to save others. But there have been some unsung heroes of MCU who guided these superheroes. They have also done some superheroic things along with them. These characters deserve some credit. Unfortunately, they are still named as supporting characters and that’s it. Let’s see the complete list.

1. Abraham Erskine created the Super Soldier Serum and chose the perfect soldier to take it

The credit of the Super Soldier Serum goes to Abraham Erskine. He created the serum and also selected Steve Rogers to become the Captain America. The reason behind the success of Captain America was definitely Erskine. He was able to see the spark in Rogers that can make his a perfect candidate for the serum.

2. Eitri lost his hand and dwarves but still worked to defeat Thanos

Eitri and his dwarves are known for forging the best weapons to the Asgardians. Thanos forced the dwarves to give him the Infinity Gauntlet and wiped out the entire race. Thanos also sealed Eitri’s hands in molten metal so that he can never forge anything again. The arrival of Thor gave him hope. He worked with Thor to forge the mightiest creation ever.

3. Maya Hansen’s betrayal to Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3

Maya Hansen teamed up with Aldrich Killian by joining AIM. Killian used her research to create the Extremis formula. The formula turned people into living bombs. She cooperated with Killian to take Pepper Potts for getting Stark’s help in stabilizing the formula. When she saw that Potts has been injected with Extremis, she stood up against Killian. She was ultimately killed by Killian.

4. Helen Cho stops Ultron from putting himself into Vision’s body

Tony Stark and Bruce Banner created Ultron as a global peacekeeping program. But he turned out to be evil and stood against the Avengers. One of the characters, Helen Cho, was under Ultron’s control for some part of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron asked her to put his brain inside a new android body. She came back to her senses and shut down the process. She was stabbed by Ultron but managed to survive.

5. Heimdall leads an underground resistance against Hela

Heimdall was one of those Asgardians who opposed Loki in Thor films. In Thor: Ragnarok, Hela took over Asgard. Heimdall was able to evade Hela’s first strike. He told Thor how to get off to Sakaar. He then stood his ground and fought bravely during the battle on the rainbow bridge. Later in Infinity War, he sent Bruce Banner through a portal to escape Thanos. Bruce was able to give a warning to Doctor Strange and Tony Stark that Thanos was coming.

6. Frigga stayed strong during her demise and helped Thor to get his Mojo back

During the time travel mission to get the Infinity Stones, Thor came face-to-face with his mother, Frigga. She heard someone sneaking around and discovered that it was Thor. Within a few moments, she realized that this Thor was from the future. She still comforted him and told him that everyone fails at who they are supposed to be. This brief talk brought a huge change in Thor’s demeanor. He called out his Mjolnir and discovered that he is still worthy of it.

7. Garthan Saal sacrifices himself to stop Ronan’s forces

Garthan Saal from Guardians of the Galaxy hesitated to contact Peter Quill when he contacted Rhomann Dey with the news of an upcoming attack. Saal does everything with honor and integrity. Xandarian ships led by Saal formed a sort of web and it worked as a shield to stop Ronan’s ship. But Ronan used the Power Stone for destroying the fleet and took Saal and his fellow Nova Corps members down in one blast.

8. Nicodemus West saves Doctor Strange

When Stephen Strange met with an accident, Nicodemus West spent 11 hours in surgery to save his life. When Strange was awake and saw the condition of his hands, he was furious at West. Despite the fact that Strange did not thank him, West was the one who gave a new life to Strange. Without West, Strange would have never met the Ancient One and later defeated Thanos.

9. M’Baku provides refuge to T’Challa, despite being defeated in their duel

M’Baku challenged T’Challa for the throne of Wakanda. M’Baku was defeated but T’Challa spared his life. He repaid this debt by offering a safe refuge to T’Challa and his family when T’Challa was injured by Killmonger. M’Baku remained loyal to his king and helped nurse him back to health. He battled with T’Challa against Killmonger and helped Black Panther to get back his position as the king of Wakanda.

10. Yinsen saves Tony Stark’s life so that he can continue to save billions of others

MCU’s beginning can be credited to Ho Yinsen. Yinsen was a doctor who was captured by the same terrorist organization that imprisoned Tony Stark in 2008’s Iron Man. Yinsen was asked to tend to Stark’s injuries. They were then ordered to build weapons for a terrorist group but they started to develop a suit of armor they can use to escape. Stark needed some time to power up the suit. So, Yinsen sacrificed himself by trying to fight the terrorists alone. He is the reason that gave birth to Iron Man and saved billions of innocent lives in the future.
