MCU Actors Who Played Love Interests In Other Movies

MCU Actors Played Love Interests:

It spreads a different kind of excitement through our body when we see our favorite MCU stars sharing the screen in a different story. Watching Robert Downey Jr. starring with Mark Ruffalo and Jake Gyllenhaal as completely different characters in Zodiac seems surreal now. Similarly, some of the MCU stars have played a couple in films outside the Marvel Universe. What would you do if Captain America and Black Widow finally became romantically involved? Most of the movies on this list came out before MCU and these actors became international star power.

 1. Sebastian Stan and Natalie Portman

This time Captain America has to save his buddy not from Iron Man but from Thor. Jane Foster and Bucky Barnes sparked a connection in Black Swan. Sebastian’s Andrew was helping Natalie’s Nina to take a break from the performance’s pressure and have some fun.

 2. Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston

The diligent Captain Marvel and the mischievous Loki transform into different characters in Kong’s world. In Kong: Skull Island, Tom plays a British Air Service captain and Brie plays a photographer. As they embark on a dangerous mission on an obscure island, they encounter unknown and dangerous species. The perils of the journey bring them closer and they become like the couple from Man, Woman, Wild.

 3. Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo

Before playing Tony Stark’s love interest and the CEO of Stark Industries, Pepper Potts, Gwyneth starred opposite Tony’s friend and Avenger, Bruce Banner in View From The Top. Paltrow portrayed the role of a flight attendant from a small town who has big dreams. Mark, on the other hand, played a budding lawyer. In the end, Paltrow gets promoted to be an attendant for first-class passengers and leaves Mark to go to Paris. But like Rachel Green from Friends, she returns to Mark and becomes a pilot. Don’t Ask!

 4. Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton

Tilda appears in the MCU as the powerful character Ancient One in Doctor Strange. She teamed up with Tom for Only Lovers Left Alive where the two play vampires named Adam and Eve. These centuries-old vampires are trying to adjust to the 21st century and blend in.

 5. Michelle Pfieffer and Michael Keaton

Michael and Michelle united for Tim Burton’s Batman Returns as Batman and Catwomen. They not only kissed on the screen but also dated for a while in real life before Batman Returns. Years later Michelle had joined MCU as Janet Van Dyne aka original Wasp and Michael plays a villain in the Spider-Man universe as Vulture.

As a matter of fact, even RDJ appeared in the movie.

 7. Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson

Michael and Tessa have taken MCU fans by storm with their powerful characters, Eric Killmonger and Valkyrie, respectively. Apart from Black Panther, Michael has earned success from Creed. He plays the titular character who is a boxer and seeks mentorship from the famous Rocky. Tessa plays Bianca, a budding singer with hearing impairment. Their characters eventually fall in love and develop a powerful bond.

The little boy’s shenanigans end up bringing the leads together, gradually sparking a romance.
