Hollywood Co-Stars Who Hated Sharing The Screen Together

Co-Stars Hated Sharing The Screen Together:

Hollywood is a lot similar to our world except the glitz and glamor. Humans have a history of not getting along with at least a co-worker. There must at least one person at our workplace that we are not fond of. And the world turns upside down when you and that person put in the same team. Sometimes Hollywood actors have to go through the same ordeal of working with a person they like the least. There can be various reasons behind the animosity- for having personal rivalry or for simply not getting along. Find out which actors disliked working with their costars on the same set.

 1. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

You may be surprised to know that the ideal couple from the classic romance, The Notebook, was down each other’s throats throughout the filming. They were so piqued by each other that Ryan asked the team to get Rachel out of the room and bring someone else to rehearse the lines with. Gradually, their animosity turned into fondness and they ended up dating for 3 years in real life.

 2. Lena Headey & Jerome Flynn

Working with one’s ex can be challenging for anyone. It can restore your anger, remind you of bitter memories, or can simply be awkward. Lena Heady and Jerome Flynn faced the same fate on the sets of Game of Thrones. They were former partners and therefore made sure that they don’t have to share the screen. This explains why Cersei Lannister and Bronn were never present in the same scene.

 3. Sylvester Stallone & Richard Gere

Sylvester and Richard’s infamous quibbles have taken many rounds on the news over the years. It started on the sets of The Lords of Flatbush where Sylvester is annoyed at Richard Gere’s alleged pompous attitude around the sets. But Richard drew the last straw when he got too carried away in a fight sequence and punched Sylvester very hard. It is also believed that the 2 stars almost had a brawl over the late Princess Diana.

 4. Charlie Sheen & Selma Blair

Highly peeved at Charlie’s unprofessionalism and lack of work ethics, his Anger Management co-star Selma Blair was forced to complain against him to the directors. It didn’t bode well with Charlie who was a bigger deal back then. In return, Charlie got Selma fired from the show.

 5. Robert Downey Jr. & Terrence Howard

RDJ and Terrance Howard’s war in the MCU became notoriously popular. Robert Downey Jr. was cast at significantly low fees for Iron Man as the studios were reluctant to have him. RDJ didn’t have much credibility back then due to past records but MCU had to relent to the director’s wishes. To their surprise, Iron Man became a huge success and RDJ’s performance was lauded by both audience and critics. It didn’t take the studios long to make him the face of MCU and raise his salary but at the cost of Terrence Howard’s paycheck. Terrence appeared in the 1st installment as Lt. Col James Rhodes. But the change in fees didn’t go well with him and he left the franchise, blaming Robert Downey Jr. for it. According to reports, Terrance said, “It turns out that the person that I helped become Iron Man, when it was time to […] re-up for the 2nd one took the money that was supposed to go to me and pushed me out.” After years of hostility, the 2 have finally moved forward and patched things up.

 6. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall

They may have played soul sisters and best friends on Sex and the City but the reality sang a different tale. Sarah and Kim’s drama from the sets had fuelled on the news and internet. It was said that Kim wasn’t okay with the disparity in payment between her and Sarah as she believed all 4 actresses were the leads.

 7. Bill Murray & Lucy Liu

Bill and Lucy were supposed to work together for Charlie’s Angels but their everyday feuds on the sets were known to everyone. One day things got escalated when Bill allegedly denigrated Lucy Liu by saying, “I get why you’re here, & you’ve got talent… but what in the hell are you doing HERE. You can’t act!” This provoked Lucy to throw punches at him until bystanders separated them. It is believed that this was the reason why Bill never returned the sequel.

 8. Vin Diesel & Dwayne Johnson

Fast & Furious 9 Vin Diesel John Cena

Vin and Dwayne share similar animosity as their Fast and Furious character, Toretto and Hobbs. Sources reveal that the 2 actors cannot stand each other as their personalities clash badly. Dwayne even dragged it on social media by criticizing Vin’s attitude and unpunctuality.

 9. Julia Roberts & Nick Nolte

Where most of the costars fall in love in real life while playing love interests on the screen, Julia and Nick’s had the opposite experiences while shooting I Love Trouble. According to sources, they loath for each other escalated so much that the remaining scenes had to be filmed separately. It is also believed that Julia continued to dislike her costar after the shooting ended and called him “disgusting”.

 10. Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

The 2 divas were too powerful to be put together on the same screen. Whether it was their fragile ego or personal differences, it was evident on the camera that they didn’t get along on American Idol. They were often seen arguing with each other during the auditions. It would have been nice to have the successful women lift each other up rather than giving in to petty matters.
