Located in the Kurnool district of the state of Andhra Pradesh, Srisailam is a small town of religious importance. - Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is one of the twelve jyotirlinga temples across the country. The main temple complex has a lingam surrounded by three enormous cobras that make the temple even more beautiful.
- Srisailam Dam: Built over the Krishna River, the Srisailam Dam is one of the largest dams in the southern part of the country. the mighty Krishna River tamed by the large dam presents a serene yet gushing sight.
- Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve: Nestling amidst the Nallamalla Hills, the Nagarjuna Srisailam Tiger Reserve spreads across two states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Known for a rich flora and fauna, the tiger reserve is filled with teak, silkplants, axlewood tress along with leopards, sloth bears, chinkatas, elephants and the Bengal tiger.
- Patala Ganga: Located near the Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, the Patala Ganga is the backwater of the Krishna River. Known to have healing properties and spiritual powers the patala ganga is thronging with people from all over.
- Akkamahadevi Caves: A natural creation of the waters of the Krishna River, the Akkamahadevi caves can be seen during a boat ride. The caves have a shivlingam installed for the flocking pilgrims.
