Jason Momoa Teased the Release of Justice League:
Jason Momoa has been a true friend and a big fan of Zack Snyder’s work. The world is actually divided into three portions, one portion loves Zack Snyder and stands for everything he has done, one (which is bigger than the first) totally hates his work and one doesn’t really care much. Jason Momoa belongs to the smaller half, i.e. the first one. But one factor that people from all three halves who’ve cared for Justice League agree with is that WB needs to release the SnyderCut. His original vision for Justice League sounded much greater and deeper than what it turned out to be after WB brought Joss Whedon to “fix” the film.

Well, people are aware of what happened behind the scenes. The Justice League we saw in the theatres was totally different and people have been campaigning for WB to release the Snydercut of the movie ever since. Recently, Jason Momoa posted a video gifting Snyder a camera and he not only confirmed that the Snydercut exists, but he also claimed that it is “ssssiiicccckkkkkk”. And now, Jason Momoa has hinted at a big announcement.

Apparently Momoa had posted something and immediately took it down because he wasn’t supposed to post it just yet. The excitement with which he seems to be talking about in the aforementioned video, it does hint at the fact that he could be talking about the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Aquaman seemed so underpowered in the Justice League cut we saw in the theatres, and perhaps we could see the real version that Snyder had intended.
WB has made some major announcements for DC content that is coming on HBO Max. So, it is plausible that Snydercut could be one of the exclusive movies that could be coming to WB’s streaming service. Composer Junkie XL has confirmed that his background score for Justice League SnyderCut is complete. Zack Snyder himself has claimed that his cut is complete with only a few edits to be made. So, could it be possible that WB might do the unthinkable and bring Snyder back to complete the film he originally intended to make. As of now, Snyder is busy working on Netflix projects but we do hope that WB will bring him back.
All signs have pointed to the Snydercut, but it could be something totally different that Jason Momoa was teasing. He recently claimed that he’d love to play Wolverine in the MCU, so what if it is actually that. Just imagine! Well, don’t imagine. I take it all back. Marvel won’t be casting any X-Men characters yet as films regarding those characters are still quite far away. So, it could be an entirely new project that Jason Momoa is excited about.
As far as other DC projects are concerned, here’s how the rest of DC’s schedule looks for the big screen looks like – The next year is going to bring in some girl power with Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman 1984. 2021 is going to be dedicated to Batman-related movies with Matt Reeves’ The Batman & James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad making their way to the theatres, and Aquaman 2 has been slated for a December 2022 release. And all other films that are under development will also get release dates soon. Black Adam, The Flash, Supergirl & Shazam! 2 are all under development at WB right now.
But we probably won’t get a Justice League movie for the next 5-6 years. WB is focusing on solo projects that aren’t very dependent on the rest of the connected Universe projects. Although, WGTC has brought in a new report claiming that JJ Abrams could be helming a Justice League reboot since Green Lantern & Superman are both getting their own series. Let’s see what happens.
