10 DC Super-Villains Yet to Appear in a Movie & The Actors Best Suited to Play Them

The DC Comic book universe has a horde of villains that are so powerful, so influential and so downright evil that they give a really hard time for the DCEU to decide how to feature these evil geniuses in the movies. Maybe this is the reason they are yet to appear in a DC movie. The list of villains we have compiled have not appeared in any DC live action movie and it is really a sad affair that Warner Bros is not even showing any hints of considering these villains for the DCEU. In the interest of the general superhero loving public, we have not only prepared the list of villains that need to be brought into the DCEU but also the actors that would be best suited to play the part. Presenting – 10 DC Super-villains yet to appear in a movie and the Actors best suited to play them!!

 10. Maxwell Lord – Guy Burnet

DC Super-Villains

What DC actually needs is not a villain that is crazy strong or super-fast or bend reality with his mind. What DC actually needs is a villain that is sophisticated, has a rich history and is a well known public figure. It is the only way to stop a bunch of superheroes from tearing the bad guy down. If you are a public figure, killing you would be really bad PR. Marvel never has had such a hero. DC tried the idea with Lex Luthor and failed miserably. Maxwell Lord could actually be the right person for the job.

DC Super-Villains

A billionaire by heritage, Maxwell Lord is the world’s greatest manipulator and often comes into conflict with Lex Luthor for the title of the world’s number 1 villain. Maxwell also has mind control powers and has a suave attitude that could only be portrayed by Guy Barnet, the English Actor who rose to fame after playing the part of Claude Lambert (pretty much the same character as Lord) in Starz’s Counterpart series.

 9. Brainiac – Matt Damon

DC Super-Villains

It is actually very strange that even after appearing in so many DC movies, Superman has yet to face his greatest arch-enemy, the guy who was literally responsible for Superman earning the moniker – The last Son of Krypton – Brainiac. Brainiac was Krypton’s sentient A.I caretaker that looked over the whole planet. It later went rogue and started traveling to different worlds, capturing their greatest cities for his own pleasure. The Worlds of DC could actually use an extra-terrestrial threat like Brainiac, who would be more than a match for the whole Justice League. Matt Damon has already appeared in MCU’s Thor Ragnarok. With some added prosthetics and makeup, he could also star in the DCEU as well.

 8. Clayface – Trevante Rhodes

DC Super-Villains

Once an up and coming star of the movie-making industry, Basil Karlo met with an ugly accident! The accident not only mutilated his face but also left him penniless as, without a face that was good enough, Basil Karlo meant nothing to Hollywood anymore. As a result, he fell into the pits of substance abuse.

DC Super-Villains

After becoming addicted to an industrial chemical, he accidentally fell into a vat of it that turned him into Clayface, one of the greatest Batman villains of all time. The animated series and movies have all featured Clayface. Basil Karlo could be best played by Trevante Rhodes of the Predator and Bird Box fame. The level of over the top charm and the aura of danger required to play Basil Karlo is something only Rhodes can manage to pull off.

 7. Nekron – Willem Dafoe

DC Super-Villains

The living embodiment of death and darkness, Nekron is what you would call if Evil had a face and could smirk from the shadows. Nekron is the reason for one of the greatest massacres in DC Comics history. He was the one that created the Black Lantern Corps and led the campaign against the entire universe to plunge it into eternal darkness in the acclaimed Blackest Night comic book crossover event.

DC Super-Villains

A guy this evil needs to be played by someone who has a knack for playing evil super-villains. The first ever true comic book super-villain of the 21st Century that is still remembered to this day is the Green Goblin, played by none other than Willem Dafoe. Now we know that Dafoe has been fan-casted as the Joker a lot, but we believe his fate lies elsewhere in the Worlds of DC.

 6. Brother Eye – Andy Serkis

DC Super-Villains

Brother Eye was actually a benevolent Artificial Intelligence aboard a satellite created by Myron forest to help Buddy Blank fight evil by transforming the latter into the OMAC. The post-Crisis Brother Eye was an orbital station created by Batman to protect the Earth from Justice League should they ever go rogue. Brother Eye does not need a guy to portray the role. All it needs is someone who has the affinity to hit the perfect notes when it comes to voiceovers. There is no one in this industry that has better skill in it than the legendary Andy Serkis, who has lent his voice to iconic characters like Caesar in War the Planet of the Apes series and Baloo the sloth bear in Mowgli.

 5. Parasite – Joel Edgerton

DC Super-Villains

Parasite was an ordinary janitor in The Daily Planet. After Lex Luthor chose him for giving him a new lease of life as part of a Lottery Campaign funded by LexCorp, the ordinary janitor’s life was changed forever. Once inside Lex Laboratories, he accidentally ate a doughnut covered in a purple toxic fluid that had absorbed kryptonite radiation. The mutagenic process that followed turned him into a purple, ugly monster that could absorb the powers of any super-human for a short span of time. Joel Edgerton would be perfect for the role because we think that he is not only young but has a menacing aspect to his personality that is yet to be explored.

 4. Hush – Leonardo DiCaprio

DC Super-Villains

Hush’s real name is Thomas Elliot, once the son of the affluent Elliot family of Gotham and now an orphan. Tommy, although is seen as the best friend of Bruce Wayne, is only pretending to be the Batman’s ally. In reality, he despises Bruce and keeps hatching up plans to kill him. Hush has a genius level intellect, is an expert in medicine and surgery and is a master manipulator and is brilliant when it comes to disguises. Leonardo DiCaprio has also been connected to the Joker role like Dafoe, but like Dafoe, we also believe that Leonardo’s skills would be much better utilized if he plays Tommy Elliot.

 3. Vandal Savage – Michael Sheen

DC Super-Villains

He was once a caveman. Then somehow, a meteorite from outer space made him super-intelligent. Now calling himself Vandal Savage, he roamed the world, using his enhanced intellect to wreak chaos and destruction in his wake. Vandal Savage is responsible for almost all the war and chaos that has happened in recorded and unrecorded human history. He is an immortal madman that wants nothing but power. Do you know who else has played a character that is immortal and is also responsible for almost all the evil that has happened in the world? It is none other than Michael Sheen, who played the Vampire Lord Lucian in Underworld.

 2. Felix Faust – Mads Mikkelson

DC Super-Villains

Felix Faust has appeared numerous times in the animated DC projects. He has also made appearances in The CW’s Constantine. Yet he is yet to make an official movie appearance. Felix Faust is an immortal sorcerer whose thirst for power transcends everything. He is willing to go to extreme lengths to unlock newer, more powerful levels of magic and master it. He is already a living God of Sorcery. With Mads Mikkelsen already playing a sorcerer super-villain in MCU’s Doctor Strange (2016), we believe there is no one more perfect for the role.

 1. Darkseid – Idris Elba

DC Super-Villains

Another actor rumored to being considered to play a DC character (that is not Darkseid), Idris Elba is our choice to play the DC God of Evil for two reasons – First, he has the perfect physique for playing the King of Apokolips and second, he is one of the most established and on-trend actors of Hollywood.

DC Super-Villains

Idris Elba is already in the news for being considered to play Agent 007 in the next James Bond movie. He has featured in the MCU as Heimdall, the all-seeing Guardian of Asgard. How awesome it would be if Elba could also play Darkseid in the DCEU!! He would be the only guy who is a part of the two greatest superhero movie franchises ever.
