Avengers: Endgame Trailer 2 Release Date:
Avengers: Endgame is going to be out in almost 2.5 months, and so far we know nothing about the plot of the film. There have been a few toy leaks here and there but those haven’t really confirmed a whole lot. As for the digital marketing of this movie, what we have got for the film amounts to almost 0, as none of the two sets of footages have confirmed anything. There have been teases of a few aspects of the plot, but since there’s a lot to be told in the film, what we saw in the trailers was probably just 1% of the entire movie.
Logically, the second big story trailer of the movie should either come out right before Captain Marvel, or Disney’s Dumbo in March, but if Marvel was to follow what they did with Infinity War, then the trailer would actually come out sometime around Mid-April when the movie release is right around the corner. But ignoring all this, there has been the latest update in the release date of the second trailer.
Marvel hasn’t revealed a whole lot from its trailers, and Kevin Feige also confirmed that footage from only the first 20-30 minutes of the movie will be included in the marketing of the film. That is what we have seen in Trailer One and the Super Bowl TV Spot, but because of this Marvel may need to release two more trailers as well.
Youtuber John Campea has gone out on a limb predicting the fact that we will not have to wait a lot in order to get the second trailer of the movie. According to him, Disney will actually drop the trailer during The Oscars, i.e. on February 24th. Black Panther has a huge presence at the Academy Awards and the stage will be set for the trailer to come out at the 91st Academy Awards.
Logically, it will be a great move by Disney to do that, as even if the ratings of the Oscars have dropped in the last 2-3 years, Millions of people still watch the Oscars anyway. So, tuning in on the biggest Awards Ceremony will also mean that the world will get to see the next big story trailer of Avengers: Endgame. This has been supported by the Youtube Channel – The Cosmic Wonder, so there might as well be some truth to this after all.
But we have to keep in mind that these are just mere predictions and Disney does not actually need to do something huge in order to market this movie. Avengers: Endgame has shown the least amount of footage for a movie this huge, and still the analysts predict the movie to go past $2 Billion with ease. So, there will not be any rush for Marvel to release another trailer. They could easily follow the pattern that they did with Infinity War and everything will be absolutely fine.
This has never been done by Disney for their big May Release, as the general pattern that they have been following since Civil War is that the first trailer comes somewhere around the last week of November or the first week of December. To follow that, we get a TV Spot at Super Bowl, and then a final trailer in the month of March or April to begin the final digital marketing campaign.
This happened with Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Infinity War, and there is a high probability that it will happen with Endgame as well. No matter how many predictions or demands we make, Disney will do things according to their own will. So don’t bet you money on the fact that the Endgame trailer will surely drop on February 24, or even with Captain Marvel.
Here’s the official synopsis of Avengers: Endgame:
