Men in Black International Trailer Released & it Has a Surprising Mjolnir Reference

Sony gave a big presentation for their upcoming Men in Black Sequel Reboot at Brazil CCXP. But now we have finally got the first trailer for the film, which is as awesome as you might have expected. For those who are stringent to move on from the original trilogy starring the original cast, I bet that you’d find the new one to be great as well. So here’s the official Men in Black International trailer that sets up our upcoming summer in the best way possible.

As the title of the film states, this film takes us on an international tour, not being strictly set up in the US. We already knew that this film will deal with worldwide extra-terrestrial threats and the trailer has given us a look at the amazing cast of the film. Liam Leeson is going to have a good supporting role in the film, while Agent O also makes her return from the original trilogy.

But the best part about the trailer is certainly the newly formed duo that picks up right from where Thor: Ragnarok left them. Tessa Thompson joins Chris Hemsworth yet again as the two play Agent M and Agent H respectively in the new take of the Men in Black franchise. As Liam Neeson’s character mentions it in the trailer, Agent M and H are going to unite to find a mole in MIB.

The trailer shows that the film is certainly having a lot of fun with its plot, and Chris Hemsworth whose comedic chops have recently been discovered in the last 2 years or so is at the center of all the action and comedy that happens in the film.

One amazing thing that the trailer does is reference Thor and his hammer, the Mighty Mjolnir in its own cool way. Right towards the end of the trailer we see Agent H having an encounter with a weird looking alien, and guess what he uses to attack the alien with, a Hammer!

Thor may not be the God of Hammers, but Hemsworth sure is! This film feels an amazing addition to everything the original trilogy has done. The Fate of the Furious Director, F. Gary Gray seems to have done quite an amazing job with the project and Sony couldn’t have asked for anything more.

What the creatives have done amazingly well with this film is that it keeps the vibe of the old trilogy alive and gives us a fresh and unique take that we’d surely end up loving. It references the characters of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones while explaining how this story moves away from them and stands on its own.

Sony has been on a roll since the latter half of 2017, and this year, the only failure they had was The Girl on the Spider’s Web! But their amazing streak will probably keep continuing as Venom and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are ending their year with a bang, while they will bring us big name films in 2019, which include Spider-Man: Far From Home, a sequel to the new Jumanji, Men in Black International, Zombieland 2 and more.

The first three movies in the MiB franchise were big successes, both critically and at the Box Office. But Men in Black International does seem that it has the potential to beat all three films at the Box Office. The first Men in Black made a hefty $589 Million at a budget of just $90 Million, Men in Black 2 made a good $441 Million at a budget of $140 Million and Men in Black 3 nailed it with a worldwide earning of $624 Million with a budget of $225 Million. The new one does not seem as expensive as Men in Black 3 was, and still, it could deliver much better than all 3 films did previously.
