Here’s Why Some Fans Are Upset With The ‘Captain Marvel’ Trailer
From east to west and north to south, the whole earth is still in the hangover of the things they’ve seen in the new Captain Marvel trailer and there are hardly any things in the trailer about which fans aren’t praising because all things seem to be simply incredible but one thing is there in the trailer about which some fans are upset and we have to say that their case is really understandable.
The trailer is two minutes and eighteen seconds long and is enough to send shock waves around the world but Marvel fans are disappointed with the makers as they haven’t seen a major character, which they saw in the first trailer of the movie and seeing him entirely missing from the trailer seems to be just too much for the fans. Yes, you’re guessing it right we are talking about Phil Coulson, the Agent of SHIELD.
We all have seen Clark Gregg in some of the movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and every time he comes on the screen, the fans seem to love his involvement because of the reason that he is such an important member of the team of SHIELD. The man went to the small screen in order to start with ABC’s Agents of SHIELD. We all know that the superheroes are still living under the lie that Coulson is dead as we have seen in the events of the movie ‘The Avengers’.
But, we all hope to see Coulson in a major role because we know that the movie is set-up back in the mid-1990s and if we scratch our heads a little more then we will realize that it is the same time when Coulson started his job at SHIELD. We were glad that the makers of the movie showed him in the first trailer but we don’t understand any reasonable reason in order to cut him out from the second one.
Well, I have to appreciate the audience and also the fan-base of Marvel as they never forget their characters and the way fans have reacted on Twitter tells about the values this fan-base have in them.
We all know that Coulson has been a major character in the MCU but after making his last appearance in ‘The Avengers’, it is surprising that the fans still remember the character and are fighting for more screen space for Coulson as there are reports that we are not going to see a lot of Coulson in the movie as well.
There are some incredible responses from the fans as they’re really pleading the makers in order to have Coulson in the movie. The responses are down below:
@OriginalFunko are you listening? We would really like a 90's Agent Coulson pop as part of the Captain Marvel line up. Pretty PLEASE? pic.twitter.com/p4CjjHdiC7

Kevin Feige also stated his views on the importance of this character in the MCU and also in the Avengers 4. Earlier this year, he said,
“I mean, all of the things you’ve seen throughout Phases 1 and 2 and now through much of 3, the new characters always are important going forward in driving, shaping the future of the MCU. I think it would be amazing, another 10 years; another 20 films or so. We only focus on one step at a time but that’s all about continuing to surprise with the stories, go unexpected places, continue to play with new, fresh, unexpected genres and then introduce characters that people might have heard of or a beloved big fan base like Captain Marvel or characters like Guardians where before we made that, people had never even heard of them.”
The best thing for Marvel Studios is that Brie Larson is very happy after portraying the role of Captain Marvel. During an interview, she stated her views on portraying a character as powerful as Captain Marvel. She said,
“You have this Kree part of her that’s unemotional, that is an amazing fighter and competitive. Then there’s this human part of her that is flawed but is also the thing that she ends up leading by. It’s the thing that gets her in trouble, but it’s also the thing that makes her great. And those two sides warring against each other is what makes her… Just seeing a character who says how she feels and says what’s on her mind and doesn’t let people stand in her way is incredibly empowering.”
