MCU Characters:
For the past decade, it seems like Marvel Studios is running by some real god-like entities as they’re not doing anything wrong and delivering everything with same excellence and greatness. If we talk about the entrance of their characters in the movies, if we talk about their mastery in setting-up post-credits scenes, or if we talk about the connections they make in their stories.
It seems like everything is just falling on the right place for them, all the numbers on the dices are exactly the same numbers they need to be more successful. But, even gods have made some severe mistakes in the history and if Marvel Studios is no less than a studio running by some gods, then yes it’s true that they’ve also made some mistakes and got some things off the track.
There are many characters with which Marvel has teased us in all these years and hasn’t delivered despite some getting very real and solid rumors about them. There is still hope for the fans that the promises made by the people at Marvel Studios and especially from Kevin Feige are going to make their way after the start of ‘Phase 4’. So, today we are going to talk about all the characters Marvel Studios has promised to give us but didn’t deliver on the big screen yet.
15. Blade:
This is the one of the biggest reason for typing this article down as we all waited for the incoming of Blade in the Marvel Studios but despite getting the news that Marvel Studios is having a script in their hands regarding Blade back in 2011 according to none other than Joe Quesada, we still haven’t got anything in front of our eyes.
Wesley Snipes was the one who added the not so necessary fuel to the fire of all these rumors by stating that he is going to meet the people at Marvel Studios and there are chances that he will reprise the role of Blade. But, it was Kevin Feige who cleared the air by stating that there aren’t any plans of a Blade movie yet again our hearts broke again.
14. Nova:
It was James Gunn who reported that Nova is going to be the character who is going to make its appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 but with the departure of James Gunn from the franchise. There are still many questions on the appearance of this character. Kevin Feige also told about the inclusion of this character,
“If we have a big board with a bunch of characters that have more immediate potential, Nova is on that board. Because of the connection to the Guardians universe, because there is more than one example to pull from in the comics that is interesting. He was in the earliest drafts of the Guardians of the Galaxy.”
13. Harry Osborn:
We got two versions of the Harry Osborn in front us since 2002 but we also have to admit that the latest version which was portrayed by Dane DeHaan was quite decent and good but the moment he covered himself into the skin of Green Goblin, everything seems to get chaotic and meaningless.
But, we haven’t seen Harry Osborn since 2002 and we want him back because we all know that he is Peter Parker’s best friend and giving Ned Leeds to the audience isn’t going to satisfy our hunger for that character. Hopefully, the makers of the Spider-Man films will understand the importance of Harry in the life of Peter and will bring us back the Harry of old times.
12. Rick Jones:
People who don’t know the importance of this character will understand it by this example that the amount of love Captain America has for Bucky is the same amount of love Bruce Banner have for Rick Jones in his heart.
But, we haven’t seen him in the MCU yet and it’s quite disappointing but understandable as according to the issue between Universal Pictures and Marvel Studios, Rick Jones couldn’t be able to make his entry with Bruce Banner in the MCU. We hope the issue will resolve soon and we will see all the supporting characters like Rick Jones soon in the MCU alongside Hulk.
11. Beta Ray Bill:
We all know how crazy fans are behind this character as this character has been in there since 1983 and we can easily call him as Thor’s Bizarro and as a result of his popularity, we saw him incoming in the animated series, merchandise, and also in video games.
We saw him in the movie Thor: Ragnarok but it was in the form of a statue. Kevin Feige has expressed his views when asked about the incoming of Beta Ray Bill,
“There was a Beta Ray Bill in an earlier version, but it was so quick. He was in it a little bit more and it just didn’t do justice. And the feeling is, if you can’t do it justice, do it later.”
10. Moon Knight:
There were a lot of solid rumors back in time when Blade: The Series was doing all sorts of magic at the box-office and the incoming of this character was hinted by many reliable sources of the industry. But, all those rumors are still rumors because we haven’t seen anything of this character on the big screen yet.
It was James Gunn again who said that he is planning to make a Moon Knight movie and will talk about it with the people at Marvel Studios but we can clearly see that the people at Marvel didn’t like the idea a lot.
9. Namor:
The situation of this character is quite similar to the case of Rick Jones as much of its rights are in the hands of Universal Pictures at the moment because of which it’s really hard for Marvel Studios to bring him on the big screen.
But, there are reports according to Joe Quesada that the rights of the character have been floated back in the hands of Marvel Studios as the other studio hasn’t used the character yet.
8. Miles Morales:
There were a lot of doubts when the news of Spider-Man coming into the MCU broke down as many people suggested that it is Miles Morales who is going to be part of the MCU but it was Tom Holland instead of that.
But, in the movie ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ we saw that there are some Easter eggs in the movie which later confirmed that Miles Morales is going to make its way into the big screen. There are signs that we will see this character making a cameo in one of the Spider-Man movies soon.
7. Quasar:
It’s really hard and we don’t complaint a lot about the appearance of this character as we all know that Quasar have many different alterations in the comics which makes it really difficult for the maker sot select one alteration form all of these different ones in the comics.
We all know that Marvel Studios tried their best in order to bring something of this character in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy but that couldn’t be possible because of the connections and wide alterations this character have in comic books.
But, there are chances that Marvel Studios will bring a fresh tie of this superhero in their upcoming ‘Phase 4’ after the end of Avengers 4.
6. Gwen Stacy:
We have to say that Marvel Studios is taking the Spider-Man to a whole new dimension as we’ve already seen a young Aunt May and no signs of Uncle Ben are in the movie yet. With Zendaya portraying the role of Michelle which is a nod to MJ and in the middle of all this we have forgotten to get anything about Gwen Stacy.
We all know that Gwen Stacy was the real love Peter Parker and it was her death after which Peter Parker changed a lot. We got the taste of their relationship in the Amazing Spider-Man series and hopefully, we will see that in the MCU soon.
5. Kate Bishop:
we all know that Hawkeye is still one of the most famous and beloved characters of Marvel but we have to say that the MCU hasn’t turned the character into a superstar and after the absence of Clint Barton from the movie Avengers: Infinity War, there were a lot of fans who came up on different social media platforms in order to show their anger for the elimination of Hawkeye.
But, there are rumors again in the market that Kate Bishop is finally going to make his entrance in the movie Avengers 4 and there are chances that Clint Barton will come in the costume and look of Ronin and Kate Bishop will take over the name Hawkeye form now.
4. Amadeus Cho:
Not many people know this character but if we talk about the modern generation then we have to say that Amadeus Cho is the Hulk and replacing Banner as the big mean smashing machine. We all know about his existence in the Marvel Studios but haven’t seen anything of him yet on the big screen.
In 2008, when the movie ‘The Incredible Hulk’ came and Edward Norton was the actor who portrayed the role of Hulk and also bribed a person in the movie whose role was portrayed by Martin Starr was the character, Amadeus Cho. But, we have to say that wasn’t the appearance we all mean by asking for the appearance of this character. Hopefully, we will see him soon in the movies so that people can really understand this character.
3. Johnny Blaze:
This is going to be little tricky for Marvel Studios as they have introduced this character in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and has passed their powers in the hands of Robbie Reyes. But, the fans got disappointed by realizing that they’re not going to get the Blaze version of Ghost Rider instead of getting the Reyes one in the series.
But, we all know how popular Ghost Rider is among the fans and thus there are chances that we will see him in the MCU and with Phase 4 starting soon maybe we are going to see him finally on the big screen now.
2. Wonder Man:
I think many people out there will know this one that Wonder Man has been one of the oldest members of the Avengers and he also has a very huge history with Marvel comic books but it’s heartbreaking to say that we haven’t received any movie of Wonder Man yet now.
There are worrying signs from the Studios that the audience will confuse this character to the one DC having and that is Wonder Woman or will think of any connection between the two.
There were also claims that it was Nathan Fillion who portrayed the role of Simon Williams in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 but the role and scene were already brought down from the final cut of the final in the editing labs. So, there are chances that we will see him in future for sure.
1. Adam Warlock:
One has to admit that it’s only the name of this character which is enough to create a huge electric buzz in our bodies as we all know how historic and great this character is and fans are really in their knees at the moment in front of their respective gods in prayer for getting this character on the big screen as soon as possible.
It was very surprising and depressing at the first place to witness the absence of Adam Warlock from the MCU despite seeing the place ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ have right now.
All we got in the movies of the MCU is that Easter Egg of Adam Warlock but there were claims in the past that Adam Warlock was meant to be in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 but the movie already had a lot of characters in it and adding Adam Warlock in the middle of all these chaos would’ve been a stupid decision.
But, there are many claims and rumors again on the internet that the time of his incoming has finally arrived and we are going to see him in ‘Avengers 4’.
