Avengers 4 Title Secretly Hinted In Captain America: The First Avenger Itself!

With the end of Infinity War and the downfall of the Earth’s mightiest heroes at the hand of Thanos the Mad Titan, every comic book fan now looks to the year of 2019, when the next Avengers movie will be released that will hopefully answered the unanswered question after the cliff-hanger of an ending that was Infinity War. The next Avengers 4 movie is a closely guarded secret of Marvel Studios. The level of secrecy is maintained is the closest Hollywood has come into replicating the airtight security of nuclear launch codes. Even the title of the movie is as enigmatic and mysterious as it could be. Or is it? According to one theory, the Avengers 4 title has been revealed to us ever since Captain America: The First Avenger and we have proof. Presenting!

If it is Annihilation you are thinking, then we hate to break it to you but you are wrong. Avengers 4 was long rumored to be annihilation and the fans thought that that might be the end of it. Yet not even one fan could find any hard evidence to corroborate that claim.

Avengers 4 is not titled Annihilation but no one could prove it otherwise ever since that theory gained traction. Until now that is. There might be some actual proof to lay support to the claim of the title for Avengers 4 being ‘Annihilation’.

Our fan forces at Reddit are to be credited for this discovery. They found it not in the comic books or by spying on some Marvel studio sets. They got that by carefully analyzing one of the highest earning Marvel Cinematic Universe movies ever, a movie that introduced one of the most iconic MCU characters in the history of Hollywood. We are talking about Captain America: The First Avenger!!!

In the movie, Doctor Erskine is heard saying a simple dialogue that caught the fans’ attention. He is heard saying and we quote:

“Ladies and gentlemen, today we take not another step towards annihilation, but the first step on the path to peace.”

Marvel has had a history of toying with Easter eggs and comic book references ever since Iron Man came strolling into the park in 2008. We thought that they actually tried to use keywords to tease upcoming marvel movies only after The Avengers of 2012.

But as it turns out, there is hard evidence to claim that the idea of using such delicate plot devices to hint at upcoming events in the MCU dates back to The First Avenger, one of the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to grace the Big Screens.

This just goes on to show the level of planning, commitment and effort the guys at Marvel studios put in to make the MCU a grand success. They had it all cut out form the very beginning.

Does this mean that the title of the movie is officially confirmed? Hard to say right now with Marvel being so tight-lipped at the moment. Scarlet Witch has also uttered the word in Age of Ultron after peeking into the Mind Stone embedded on the forehead of Vision.

If Annihilation is what we think it to be, it could either mean that the Avengers or what is left of them are going to experience a world of hurt waiting for them in the next movie, or something even bigger is in store for the MCU next year. We will have to wait and find out. Marvel Studios, gives us the name already!!!!

Avengers Infinity War has already witnessed its Blu-Ray and DVD release. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:

Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
