Spider-Man: No Way Home Post-Credits Scenes Explained

One of the most interesting things about the MCU has been the post-credits scene. Fans would sit around after the end of the movie to watch the credits roll and for a scene to appear. This scene actually indicates the possible future narrative in the franchise. Often this scene would end up being the most exciting part of the entire movie and overshadow the narrative of the movie. The past few post-credits scenes haven’t been much exciting for the fans. The Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits scenes were exciting as the film. Let’s explore what we got to see in those and what it all actually means.

**Spoilers Ahead**

Spider-Man: No Way Home Post Credits Scenes

The past few MCU movies featured a post-credit scene that was not able to answer some clear questions regarding the future of the franchise. This time around fans would be excited to know that we actually got to see a rather exciting post-credits scene. Similar to most other MCU movies No Way Home actually features two post-credits scenes. Each was able to give us some idea regarding what we might actually get to see both in the MCU and regarding the character of Spider-Man. Let’s take a look at the two post-credits scenes and what these scenes actually indicate.

Mid-Credits Scene

The mid-credits scene for No Way Home saw another character who was brought into the MCU because of the botched-up spell from Doctor Strange. It was in continuation to the scene that we had actually gotten to see in the post-credits scene for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. We see Eddie Brock talking to a bartender played by Cristo Fernández, trying to find out more about the MCU. He is given a vague idea about the heroes in this universe and some idea about Thanos as the “alien who loves stones”. Eddie decides that he has to reach out to Spider-Man in order to find out what is happening but then Venom declares that they are drunk. Right after that, they are teleported back to their own universe but we do see that some part of the symbiote is still left on the counter of the bar.

No Way Home Post-Credits Scenes

During the promotion of Venom 2, the director Andy Serkis revealed that there are plans for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to come across Tom Hardy’s Venom/Eddie Brock. This very scene might have actually set up this narrative and the possibility of it coming true. The scene actually gives us some idea regarding how the Marvel and Sony deal might have worked out. Now there is a chance that we will actually get to see more from Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the Sony world of Spider-Man characters. The drop of symbiote goo that is left in the MCU might actually allow for Venom to exist in the MCU.

End-Credits Scene

The end-credits scene from the movie actually showed us a teaser from the upcoming MCU movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This scene features a lot of shots that showed the absolute chaos that will be created as Doctor Strange navigates through it. We then see Strange got to Wanda for help, as the latter had been living in isolation since the events of WandaVision. Then we are introduced to the dark version of Doctor Strange – Doctor Strange Supreme who seems to be one of the primary villains Strange will come across. Other than that, we also see Karl Mordo, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, return along with the debuting hero America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), and Gargantos, the tentacled monster with a huge eye.

No Way Home Post-Credits Scenes

This is actually one of the most exciting moments considering we finally have some indication towards what we might get to see in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. We have witnessed what Doctor Strange Supreme can do from the Disney+ series What If…? and this actually excites us about the chapter that is about to unfold. This character was last seen being given the duty of watching over the trapped Arnim Zola and Killmonger in a pocket dimension. We also get to see Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer who seems to be marrying someone else. All this has us pondering if we will see some similarity in the narrative of the movie with the Doctor Strange episode from What If…?.

Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, J.K. Simmons, Jon Favreau, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Rhys Ifans, Thomas Haden Church and the previous two Spider-Men.
