Deadpool 2 was sheer excellence. We’d think that how can they top the class of the first Deadpool but to their credit, they actually did! Deadpool 2 was bigger, better, funnier and sexier than the one we got before. It was a complete package as it had really insane humor as you would laugh throughout the movie. Along with that, the movie had tonnes of Easter Eggs and a lot of surprise cameos which actually added to the humour, really crisp action sequences (well that came with the best Action director attached), emotion, great character building and one of the most typical Deadpool (awesome) endings you could ever imagine.

The movie worked greatly in many aspects, and one of those aspects was the cameos that it portrayed. They were really surprising and fun to catch. Matt Damon showed up in the movie in the most unrecognizable disguise he may have ever had. Brad Pitt probably had the best cameo ever! Even the director of the movie came in with a sneaky cameo. Almost all the X-Force characters had a bit extended cameos. And at last, the entire X-Men showed up in a cameo and actually fixed the broken timeline and continuity issue for Deadpool altogether.
Deadpool 2 took us to the X-Mansion again and even played with the idea of making Deadpool an X-Man. Well, a trainee technically. But in doing so, we got a great Cameo, as Wade was roaming around the big X-Mansion and again complaining about not seeing anyone but Colossuss, Negasonic & now her girlfriend Yoiki there. In a room beside him, we saw the newly formed X-Men Team along with McAvoy’s Charles Xavier, Beast and all the new X-Men hanging out together.
So, this actually fixed the issue we had with placing the Deadpool universe in the larger X-verse. We did not know whether the Poolverse comes in the same era as the old X-Men trilogy which was after the 2000s, or the prequel era which was portrayed from the 70s to the 90s. There were even doubts that the Poolverse is actually a separate Universe and not the similar X-Verse. But with this cameo, we know that it is the same Universe and the events in this movie take place after X-Men: Apocalypse.
Still, we would surely like to see more of these X-Men in Deadpool movies, and it looks like that the X-Men may have had more to do with their time on the sets of Deadpool 2. Evan Peters, who plays Quicksilver in the X-Verse recently had an interview with Cinema Blend, and he revealed that the cameo that the X-Men got was actually one of the many alternate things filmed in that hall room where all the X-Men appeared in the movie. Here’s what he said:
“We were shooting [X-Men: Dark Phoenix], and were like, ‘Okay, we’re going to do a quick thing for Deadpool 2.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, that’s awesome!’ I thought it was going to be at the end of the film, in the credits, like some sort of funny Easter egg thing. And we had a lot of different versions for when they open that door and turn to us. But the one they used was pretty chill, and was in the first half of the film, which I was like, ‘Oh, Jesus, that’s kind of weird.’”
Well, he did not say anything more other than this, but he did give the fact away that those other cameos that the X-Men characters filmed in that hall room scene were actually ‘fun’ and ‘dirty’ than the usual X-Men we are used to seeing. Well, it may have been amusing to see the usual PG-13 X-Men do something R-Rated, but the one we got was also not short of anything great as it fulfilled a greater purpose by removing the confusion of the timeline.
