Avengers Infinity War will be upon us in 40 days and just recently, we got to see the second trailer of the movie and it was a visual marvel! The trailer had many fan-pleasing moments and it gave us quite a bit without actually revealing the story of the movie. Honestly, this is exactly how a trailer should be edited, and we could not expect anything more than this.
This will be the greatest comic book spectacle that we have ever seen, never before has any studio attempted an ensemble movie of this size and scale. There will be around 67 comic book characters of relevance, of which half of them are going to be superheroes. But the time of the movie is limited, so each of these characters will literally be fighting and jostling for screen time and space.
This new trailer showed a lot of new elements in the movie. It gave us quite a bit of footage and story arc for Thanos, and now many fans who were unfamiliar with the comics have an idea of how big of a villain Thanos is. Along with Thanos, many other characters got moments to shine.
Iron Man was amazing with his new suit upgrades and was largely undeterred by the threat of Thanos as he believes they are more than prepared, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man also had good moments, and the best of all was the money shot of Captain America standing up against Thanos just like in the comics.
But even after all this, fans will still continue to have the same questions with this trailer as they had with the first one because the trailer was still missing Hawkeye, Ant-Man and the other Infinity Stones. Well for Ant-Man an argument can always be put in that he was in the trailer but he was the size of an Ant so we didn’t actually notice him.
But, Hawkeye is a different story as they are probably hiding a big reveal related to him. The fan theory is that Hawkeye along with Yakuza is on a daring mission to retrieve the last remaining Soul Stone so that it does not fall into the hands of Thanos’ Black order. Whether he succeeds or not is a different story altogether.
Seeing all this makes us wonder that having so many huge characters in the movie, which one of these characters will get the most importance and Screen Time because it will surely be a big fight among the characters to have a significant screen time and at the same time get moments to shine. Well as the entire MCU till now has been building up to Thanos, so it will be obvious that he will get the most amount of time to be on the screen.
Despite a stellar cast of superheroes in the movie, the central character of Infinity War will be Mad Titan. The directors have also said that this is Thanos’ movie, and we are going to get a lot of him since there is going to be an entire flashback story arc, and he is going to be present in at least three of the big battles.
Along with him, the characters who are likely to appear the most will be Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. We can expect to see a lot from Cap and Tony, but actually, the director of the movie has revealed that Thor actually has quite an interesting arc, so we should not be surprised if he shows up more than the others. Here’s what Joe Russo said when he was asked about the characters with the most amount of Screen-time:
“Interestingly enough, I’ll start out by saying Thanos, even though he’s not a character that had a huge preexisting story in the Marvel universe. He was a threat but he was not developed in any way up to this point. Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time in this film, in a lot of ways I would say it’s his movie. Our job when we make these films — and what we feel is important to us — is to surprise the audience. We wanted to tell a story that they weren’t expecting, and the story is told from the point of view of a villain, which I think is also really unique and risky for a commercial film that will surprise the audience. I think this is a market where the audience really enjoys innovation and disruption, and we want to do something innovative in this space. So I think Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time, and I think you’ll find that Thor has a really interesting arc in the film. He hasn’t been at the forefront of other Avengers movies but he certainly has a very important role in this film. So I’ll say, Thanos and Thor.”
So surprisingly, Thanos may actually have even more importance than Captain America and Iron Man. It is pretty amazing that Thor is believed to have even more screen time as we have not seen much of him in the trailers, so it is good that a lot of the movie scenes have still not been revealed in the trailers.

The cast is magnificent as Marvel has managed to bring whole host of incredibly talented actors under one roof including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Sebastian Stan (Winter soldier), Chris Pratt (Starlord), Vin Diesel (Groot), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Jeremy Reiner (Hawkeye), Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), Tom Holland (Spiderman), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly (Wasp), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Josh Brolin (Thanos).
Avengers: Infinity War will open on April 27, 2018. It is directed by Russo brothers i.e Joe and Anthony Russo. The movie is produced by Marvel boss Kevin Feige along with a set of executive producers including God of Marvel comics Stan Lee, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo etc. The screenplay has been written by an amazing duo – Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
