Avengers Infinity War is almost here and it’s just less than 40 days left for its worldwide release. This is the greatest comic book ensemble we have ever seen on the big screen. Never before has the studio tried anything of this scale and magnitude where 67 major comic book characters will be featured, of which half will be superheroes. The history will be created as all of this is totally unprecedented.
When the first trailer hit the internet, the fans went nuts and watched it so many times that it broke the all-time record for highest number of online views in the first 24 hours of its release. We saw for the first time the deadliest Marvel supervillain in action, one who will show Avengers how tiny they are in front of his might.
He is coming to Earth along with his Black order to collect all the Infinity stones namely Power, Mind, Space, Time, Reality, Soul. He already has in his possession two Infinity stones – Space stone aka Tesseract and Power stone aka Orb. Once he has all the six cosmic singularities, he will become the most powerful cosmic creature as he would literally control fundamental forces of existence.
The second and possibly final Avengers: Infinity War trailer is out, and it has blown us all away. It was definitely worth the wait as it packed some amazing moments that we all were waiting for! This trailer was totally fan-pleasing and it was just amazingly well-crafted as it gave us plenty of new stuff without actually revealing any big spoilers for the movie. Here are the best moments from the trailer:
Snap of his fingers!
The trailer begins with Gamora narrating:
“The entire time I knew him, he only ever had one goal, to wipe out half the universe. If he gets all the Infinity Stones, he can do it with the snap of his fingers.”
This entire narration is a direct horrifying steal from the Infinity Gauntlet Comics where Thanos assembles all the Infinity Stones and with a snap of his fingers, half of the universe is wiped away, poof!
Iron Man’s Uni-thruster!
Well, this may not be that big of a moment, but we get to see an amazing upgrade in Iron Man’s bleeding edge armor where his foot thrusters join turning into a big uni-thruster and he just goes over Supersonic! Well, these remarkable upgrades may be the reason why Tony is unperturbed when Gamora dropped the name Thanos, but he ain’t seen nothing yet. We can’t wait to see more of his new upgrades.
Tony’s plan sucks
This is the first time we see the Guardians meet up with Tony and Spider-man Man on the planet Titan where Tony narrates his plan of allowing Thanos to come to them since they have what he needs, the Infinity Stones. Peter opposes Tony’s plan as according to him it totally sucks and he suggests that he should make the plans from there on. Two big hilarious egos have met!
Team Cap Returns to Wakanda
We see Captain America come in to unite with T’Challa along with Black Widow, Falcon, Rhodey, Bruce, Wanda, and Vision. T’Challa gives them all a warm welcome and the way Cap and T’Challa unite is pretty pleasing. This would surely be the scene after Cap along with Falcon and Widow fought against Proxima Midnight and saved Vision from Corvus Glaive.
Thanos’ back Story and Armor
Ever since the marketing of the movie began, people have been wondering why Thanos is without Armour, to which the Director’s replied that he does not feel the need to wear it since he has the Infinity Stones now. We still got to see it in a flashback scene where we see him along with baby Gamora and my God is it ravishing! Also, Gamora seems to be the key to beating him hear, instead of Nebula since she is being focused more over here and she was the favorite daughter of Thanos.
The Black Order
This is the first time we get to see the Black Order in live action. All the children of Thanos, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive and Cull Obsidian (God he is huge!) are standing together as they have captured Loki on the Asgardian ship, who then gives the Tesseract to Thanos. These dudes are really terrifying and anyone would immediately surrender and Loki clearly had no choice there.
Battle of Wakanda
We see almost half of the Avengers unite and Banner is probably in the Hulkbuster armor which looks insane! The entire scene where the siege of the ‘Outriders’ begins and everyone gets ready for battle followed by Falcon, Hulkbuster, and War machine attacking is just epic. This will be one of the greatest battle scenes in the history of comic book movies.
Ebony Maw
Doctor Strange gets tortured by Ebony Maw and he screams in pain. We can see him sort of getting acupunctured by energy needles and as he screams, Ebony Maw is like Shhhh! This particular character seems to be really amazing.
Spidey and Strange
The trailer ends with a funny introduction between Peter and Strange where Peter tells Strange his name and Strange introduces himself as Doctor Strange to which Peter replies that if they are using their made-up names then he is Spider-Man, and we see the final shot of Spider-Man in his Iron Spider suit swinging amidst the falling debris which was stunning.
Joe Russo, the co-director had this to say about having Strange and Parker teaming up:
“They both have a proximity to each other if that’s a hint that I can give. Anybody who’s a Marvel fan would know that they both reside in the same city, and I think Tom and Benedict have a really wonderful chemistry and we wanted to exploit that.”
Cap resisting Thanos!
In the final moments of the trailer, we see Thanos trying to grab Steve and we get the money shot of Steve Standing up to the Mad Titan, resisting his arm using his entire strength. They make us think as if Thanos is shocked here by Steve’s strength but it may actually be the final moment for Cap as Thanos could very well kill him right at this moment. This is straight out of Marvel comics and it’s an iconic moment when Cap decides to face Thanos alone as his entire army has been wiped out and fellow superheroes killed.
Avengers Infinity War will hit the theaters worldwide on April 27, 2018. It is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo aka Russo brothers and produced by Marvel President Kevin Feige along with a set of executive producers including chief architect of Marvel comics Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Michael Grillo. The screenplay has been written by an amazing duo – Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
Here is the official synopsis for the movie, it reads as:
“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain”.
