Top Five Diet Plans of 2015

[tps_header]Almost everywhere you look these days, you will  see, or hear an ad proclaiming it is the best diet plan to lose weight. Some are ridiculous, “Lose 20lbs in one week!” Some only offer extraordinarily bland foods, ie “The Cabbage Diet.” However, there are some diet plans out there that are healthy, allow you to eat a variety of foods, and actually do work.  Of course, you have to follow them without cheating with ice cream and doughnuts.

Here is a list of the top 5 Diet Plans of 2015, according to the U.S. News. To be top-rated, a diet had to be relatively easy to follow, nutritious, safe, effective for weight loss and protective against diabetes and heart disease. Note: These diets are all non-commercial.[/tps_header]

DASH was developed to fight high blood pressure, not as an all-purpose diet. But apparently the experts loved it and gave it high marks for its nutritional completeness, safety, ability to prevent or control diabetes, and role in supporting heart health. Though relatively obscure, it beat out a field full of better-known diets.
