WATER!

I’m sure you are tired of hearing this thing over and over again, but trust me, water is the most important part of the process. Start your day with a huge glass of lukewarm water. You can add ingredients like lemon, or honey in it to add a flavor and make it look a bit tempting. Try and drink as many glasses of water you can during the day. To make the process easy, carry a small bottle of water with you everywhere you go. Also, its beneficial to end your day with a glass of water as well. Lukewarm water helps to cleanse your skin and remove all those toxins you’ve either been inhaling or eating. Its so refreshing and so healthy at the same time.

BREAKFAST!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and its very important for you to eat a big, but balanced breakfast. Fruits like bananas must be a part of your daily routine. Although they do add calories to your body, 2 bananas in the morning can highly boost your metabolism and give you energy to work for the next 2 hours without any breaks. You can chunk up on other fruits as well, from oranges, to peaches, to apples, of course. The more juicy they are, the more helpful it is! You could even consume them as juices if you like.

MEAL PATTERN!

A normal person eats 3 meals a day, some prefer an evening snack, that makes it 4. What you can do to make the process easy is – break your meal pattern, take in smaller quantities but in shorter intervals of time. This way you will not feel hungry constantly and your chances of eating more than you should will fall. Add salads to your meal, or even make them your meal if you can. To make it fun, look up what amazing stuff you could do with them. There are so many varieties these days, I’m sure you’ll find something of your taste.

SAY NO TO BOOZE!

Stay away from booze as much as you can as it tends to make us lethargic and keep in mind that alcohol is a diuretic, meaning that it causes water loss and dehydration. Along with this water loss, you lose important minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, calcium and zinc. Which isn’t affordable at all! Occasional drinking isn’t harmful though.

POSTURE!
Work on your posture while you sit and stand, avoid slouching! It doesn’t work well, both for your personality, as well as your health. Standing upright would boost your confidence and its one of the best things to do for your health.

EXERCISE!

I’m sorry but you just can’t run away from a workout. No pain, no gain, remember? You don’t need to exercise aggressively, start with a few basic exercises. Go for  run in the morning, or cycling, then slowly move to squats, push ups and even cardio. No matter which exercises you choose to start your day with, try and be regular. Also practice at least 30 minutes daily and its preferable to do it all in one go!

SACRIFICE!

I won’t suggest, or even expect you to completely cut out on junk all at once, but we all can minimize the intake. Eat a few bites of your favourite chocolate if you want, its allowed to have a sweet tooth and satisfy it occasionally. But do sacrifice on stuff like white rice or white bread as much as you can. Switch to brown rice instead!

DONT GIVE UP!

Once you’re on it, please don’t back out. Don’t betray the body you’re living in. Never give up on it, or on anything for that matter. It will hurt and require sacrifice and IT WILL TAKE TIME! Be patient, you can do it! I know you can. “Motivate the mind; body will follow.”
