Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Trailer Sets A New Record

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer was released during Super Bowl LVII and broke a major record, garnering 134.1 million views across all social media platforms in its first 24 hours, according to Deadline. The trailer included more footage from the upcoming MCU film and teased that the movie will explore Rocket’s troubled past and feature references to Thanos from the perspective of Karen Gillan’s Nebula.

Zoe Saldana’s Gamora also made an appearance in the trailer, which caused excitement among fans. The last time a Super Bowl trailer broke the 100 million views mark was in 2020 with the release of F9, which did not reach the same level of views as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 despite being released prior to the pandemic. RelishMix measured the views, and it became the most-viewed Super Bowl trailer in the company’s records. The next most-viewed trailer was DC’s The Flash, which received 97.4 million views.

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest televised events each year, so it’s not surprising that an MCU trailer would receive a high number of views. However, breaking the 100 million mark in just 24 hours is a major achievement. The anticipation for the conclusion of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy is higher than ever, and the harsh criticism that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has been receiving has also contributed to this. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is set to hit theaters on May 5. The film’s plot has been kept under wraps, and fans are worried about which characters will make it out alive. Nevertheless, they won’t have to wait much longer to see what the MCU’s most unorthodox team has in store.

In conclusion, the trailer set a new record, breaking the 100 million views mark in just 24 hours. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest televised events of the year, and it’s no surprise that an MCU movie trailer would receive high numbers of views. Nevertheless, breaking the 100 million mark is a major achievement, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 shattered that threshold.
