Doctor Strange 2: Who Created Ultron On Earth 838 Universe?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured a lot of cameos but I think I speak for everyone when I say that the Illuminati scene was the best of them. The scene brought forward the earth-838’s  Illuminati members, namely the first live-action iteration of Captain Carter(Hayley Atwell). Not only that, it featured Anson Mount as Black Bolt and Patrick Stewart as Professor Xaviers. But what really got fans going on was John Krasinski’s cameo a Reed Richards. Weirdly, fans missed a significant but brief appearance of Ultron sentries. And contrary to MCU lore, Ultron’s maker was not named. And this is raising a big question- Who created Ultron on Earth-838?

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR DOCTOR STRANGE 2 AHEAD!!!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured the titular character and America Chavez in a lot of different universes. And one of them was Earth-838, where Doctor Strange had found another way to defeat Thanos. But not before the Darkhold corrupted him and as a result, the group(Illuminati) he founded had to kill him. So, instead of Avengers, the Earth’s Mightiest Superheroes got together to form the Illuminati in this universe. But the short duration of the movie didn’t allow much character introduction so the maker of the Ultron AI is open for speculation, as of now. And we have three contenders and we think one of them could be the potential AI creator!

1. ‘MR FANTASTIC’ REED RICHARDS

The Sorcerer Supreme of Earth-838, Master Mordo, introduces Richards as the Smartest Man Alive. So this tingles our theory senses that he could be the one who created the Ultron AI in their universe. And since he was the smartest man, he was able to perfect the AI, something MCU’s Tony Stark could not do. We came to this conclusion keeping in mind Reed’s greatest feats of intelligence in the comics. Our guy has 4 degrees in math, physics, and engineering so it makes sense if he would try to build a suit of armor around the world. And given the fact that their world might not have a Tony variant, the weight would fall on his stretchable shoulders.

2. THE UNTEASED SUPERIOR IRON MAN

This is one of the most trending theories on social media right now. This theory suggests that, contrary to what the filmmakers led us to believe, the Earth-838 had a Tony Variant. And it was the infamous and notorious Superior Iron Man. In the comics lore, this Iron Man perfected every one of his mistakes and grew so egoistic that he was almost categorized as a villain. So he was much smarter than MCU’s Tony and could’ve been the one to create the perfected AI.

And the reason he wasn’t featured in the movie was the fact that Marvel execs are saving him for the perfect opportunity. They do not want to kill off one of the best comic book characters in a matter of minutes. There is a rumor going on that, despite what the writer told us, Tom Cruise will, in fact, appear as the Superior Iron Man. He wasn’t in the Illuminati room because of the simple fact that he was too arrogant, but when it will come to avenge his fallen fellow superheroes, the multiversal barriers won’t stop him. So he might appear in future Marvel projects and give our superheroes a challenge that they might not be up for.

3. HANK PYM

Who Created Ultron on Earth 838

This might be our biggest reach of all time but it isn’t impossible! And we have a valid reason to believe that this is true. Because in the comics, unlike in MCU, Iron Man was not the one to create the AI. It was actually Hank Pym! His intellect is on the same level as Richards and Stark so it makes total sense that he created the program in the past. And they had been guarding the planet long before the Illuminati came around. This seems so crazy that it might just turn out to be true!
