The Marvel Cinematic Universe has in earnest begun its rapid ascent towards the finale of their phase. Up until now, Phase IV has been rather calming. Each movie and OTT show has been a self-contained sub-thread in the massive web that is the MCU. The She-Hulk trailer arrived yesterday with a bang and fans have been vying over the Hulk’s involvement in the show. His appearance in the trailer is confirmation of old rumors. So I think it is important that we make a list of all characters confirmed to appear in She-Hulk. Take a look at the characters down below and let us know in the comments if we missed anyone.
Jameela Jamil – Titania
First of all, let’s discuss the main villain of the show aka Titania. It was confirmed in an old press release that Titania will be fulfilling the role of antagonist in this show. Titania is a character whose strength rivals that of She-Hulk but her demeanor is much more aggressive than your average hero. Jameela Jamil is playing the villainous Titania in She-Hulk, we even got a glimpse at her full costume in the trailer. It seems that it is just as over the top as its comic counterpart. We love it!
Tatiana Maslany – She-Hulk
Tatiana Maslany will be taking up the role of the protagonist of the show. She looks absolutely ravishing as She-Hulk. The look of the character came out really nicely in the show. So much so, that they decided to focus on it a little too much in the trailer. We don’t mind it but we would prefer it if the show was more about the character’s growth than how she looks. She’s She-Hulk, there is not a moment when she won’t look drop-dead gorgeous.
Frog-Man
Frog-Man is another character that has appeared in the trailer and seems to be here to stay. The character has some weird costume that he’s put on but it seems to be functional enough for him. We know comic fans would be really excited to see this cameo in the show. It is unknown how big of involvement he will have in She-Hulk’s story. We would prefer if they could make full use of him. Especially when there is no other place that this character could ever appear in the MCU.
Benedict Wong as Wong
Benedict Wong returns for another Marvel appearance this year. He just set the screen ablaze in Multiverse of Madness and now the Sorcerer Supreme will return for She-Hulk. If fans remember back to Shang-Chi, there was an action sequence between Abomination and Wong. It seems that the two have some kind of a relationship in the MCU. We would like to see where it started and maybe that secret will be revealed in She-Hulk.
Hulk
Bruce Banner himself will be making an appearance in this show. In fact, he will have a full-fledged role as a supporting character for She-Hulk. It has been said that he will take the role of a guide in the show and aid She-Hulk in taking control of her powers. It will be interesting to see how the pair plays off each other, especially when most of their scenes will be CGI and they are supposed to be family in the MCU. We would surely like to see the pair rampaging a villain’s HQ at the end of the show.
Blonsky’s Abomination
From all the characters confirmed to appear in She-Hulk, this is the one that we are the most excited about. You see, Tim Roth’s Abomination is one of the oldest villains in the MCU. He and General Ross were the ones who started harassing Banner back before the release of Iron Man and the start of Phase 1. It would interesting to see how Jennifer Walters handles this huge menace whom she is supposed to represent. The Superhero law division is going to have its hands full, especially if Wong comes to visit his old pal.
Daredevil (Rumored)
Another character rumored to be appearing in She-Hulk is Daredevil. Whether Charlie Cox has been approached for the show or not is unknown. But given the fact that Jennifer Walters will be playing a lawyer defending people with super abilities in New York City, it is highly likely that she may encounter Daredevil in the professional sphere. This is more likely to happen after her transformation when she would want to seek some legal counsel herself.
Jessica Jones (Rumored)
We also think that Jessica Jones could make an appearance along with Luke Cage. Both of these characters have been known to work the streets together and they have the tendency to stick close to the courts. They may help She-Hulk in uncovering some evidence or figuring out some mystery in the show. We are as of yet unsure as to how She-Hulk will go about helping the common folk and solving crime but we cannot wait to find out.
