The whole world is now watching the infamous Johnny Depp v Amber Heard Defamation trial. The last few years have been hard for both parties, especially Depp who lost his biggest gigs in the time being. But his friends have always been there. For instance, Robert Downey Jr has never missed an opportunity to speak in support of his best buddy. Even Skyfall star, Javier Bardem, supported Depp’s claims. But his support is not limited to the male celebs. After all, ladies love him. Many female celebs, even his ex-partner Winona Ryder, claimed that the allegations against Depp have no basis. Here is a list of all actresses who supported Johnny Depp:
1. PENÉLOPE CRUZ
Depp’s co-star from Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides has been a constant support to him in his time of need. She described how Depp, in turn, supported her when she was pregnant on the set. She explained to the court how Depp always made her feel secure and protected during the shooting of the movie. Cruz even submitted these experiences in court documents. She proves what Depp’s fans have been saying about him for years- Depp’s generosity and respect towards others are unmatched.
2. WINONA RYDER
How many times have you seen that a person’s ex-partner supports him/her in a divorce settlement? Depp and Ryder dated for a brief time, back in the ’90s, but have still managed to be good friends. And Ryder proved this friendship by declining every disgusting claim against Depp. Following their relationship, Depp and Ryder spent a long time shooting for Edward Scissorhands. And in that time, according to Ryder, Depp never showed any episode of rage or abused her or any member of the film’s team. She also added that Depp is a loving and caring person who made her feel protected. How can you not like a person who made even his ex-partner speak in favor of him?
3. IRELAND BALDWIN
Ireland Baldwin, the eldest daughter of Alec Baldwin, has been one of the open supporters of the POTC star. Instead of speaking for Depp directly, she took her allegations toward Heard public through her Instagram. She openly attacked by releasing these statements through one of her posts.
The thing is, I know women who are exactly like this. They are manipulative and cold and they use their very womanhood to play the victim and turn the world against the man because we live in a society where it’s cool to say men are all the worst and blah blah (expletive) blah.
This was after Heard admitted that she hit Depp. This was not acceptable to Ireland who took it to the public to call out Heard’s ‘terrible personality’.
4. CANDACE OWENS
Candace Owens is a reputed writer and a political commentator. And even she decided to side with Depp in this trial. Just like Baldwin, she used her show, ‘Candace’, to call out Heard. She blamed Heard for using the Me Too movement to do an ‘absolutely ridiculous’ thing. She even called out her toxic feminism. It’s getting cold, right?! This is what she had to say in her show
It has been absolutely ridiculous to see what that woman was allowed to do because she just flew under the radar of the Me Too movement. There was more than enough evidence to convict her from the very beginning of being the extremely abusive partner she is. Heard is every bit an example of what I’d refer to when I refer to toxic feminism.
5. ANGELINA JOLIE
Almost no woman on this list knows Depp as well as Angelina Jolie. There was a time when they were so close that people suspected an ongoing relationship. Though those were mere rumors, Jolie and Depp were good friends and continue to be. And a friend in need is a friend indeed! Apparently, Jolie was one of the first women to warn Depp against involving with Amber Heard. Jolie had disliked the actress from The Tourist’s promotional tours, back in 2010. If only Depp had maintained a distance from Heard as Jolie advised, we might still be getting another Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
