9 Infamous Doctor Strange 2 Theories That Turned Out To Be Totally False

Multiverse of Madness was a good movie but it suffered from the same flaw that all of Marvel suffers from nowadays barring a few exceptions. The movie could not meet or anticipate all of the fan demands. They couldn’t stop the fans from figuring out the plot and speculating beyond it before the release of the movie. This is the power of the fandom and the plot leak for Multiverse of Madness was more or less accurate. But there were some infamous Doctor Strange 2 theories that turned out to be completely false. We made a list of the said theories. There are 9 in total. Here, take a look and let us know if we missed any:-

Unreal Expectations

It is safe to say that we went a little overboard with our fan speculation in the period leading up to Multiverse of Madness. The movie was slated to be a fest of cameos and some re-shoots were also reported after the initial filming had already wrapped. This sparked many rumors, and fans had every Marvel character ever appearing in the Multiverse of Madness in their fan theories. Suffice to say, most of these theories turned out to be false. But the fans had their fun.

Ghost Rider

It was also rumored some time ago that Ghost Rider might show up in Multiverse of Madness or that he might be the ultimate villain of the movie. But none of that came to fruition. Not only did the movie not include the character but the dead spirits that did appear turned into puppets for Zombie Strange. Such a disappointment. We would have enjoyed the debut of the Spirit of Vengeance in the MCU.

Shuma-Gorath

Technically Shuma-Gorath cannot appear in the MCU because Marvel does not have rights to the character. But Marvel still included a smaller version of the Elder God and named it Gargantos for the sake of the movie. This is the monster that we see attacking America Chavez at the start of the movie. Although it has the same look as Shuma-Gorath this monster is far too weak and far too frail to be an Elder God. Maybe he will appear sometime in the future in the MCU.

Wolverine

Another theory that the fandom clung to with their life was the rumor that Wolverine would be appearing in the Multiverse of Madness. We had all sorts of fake reports of Marvel talking to Hugh Jackman and considering other people to play Wolverine in the MCU but all of it was baseless, it seems. The fans had their moment n the sun and their outcry on the internet but Logan is yet to show his face and sideburns in the MCU. But that is not the end of the problem.

The X-Men

Infamous Doctor Strange 2 theories

Fans also speculated that the X-Men would show up in Multiverse of Madness. This theory sprang from the fact that Charles Xavier was seen in the first trailer and fans wondered if their favorite mutants would make it to the MCU. The most important of these possible cameos was the cameo of quicksilver, someone who would have given Wanda some pause in the movie. Now, that would have been interesting.

The TVA

Fans were quite sure that Mulitverse of Madness would tie in with Loki and the TVA one way or the other. After all, both the movie and the show are about basically the same thing. Well, their setting is similar and the TVA would certainly want to investigate a being who can travel through the multiverse, even though she has now become part of the sacred timeline, for whatever that is worth.

Spider-Men

After the events of No Way Home, fans expected to see either Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield in Multiverse of Madness. This very popular fan theory suggested that Tobey or Andrew might act as the recruits that Strange would have used in the final battle of the movie. But Raimi had a very different climax in his mind. In the end, there were no Spider-Men in No Way Home and we got a very different movie than what the fans had expected.

Deadpool

Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool was also rumored to be a part of the movie because some of the Fox characters were expected to be a part of The Illuminati. The fans speculated that including Deadpool might be fun little detail in a movie about the multiverse. But the movie was made into a horror experience than a ride through the multiverse and no Deadpool cameo was forthcoming.

Superior Iron Man

With the appearance of the Ultron sentinels in the movie, we expected that Tom Cruise’s Superior Iron Man would also be a part of Multiverse of Madness. But even this fan theory was proven wrong by the movie. Even though the sentinels present were undoubtedly a dig at the existence of the said Iron Man, he was nowhere to be seen. Fans were more than a little disappointed, to say the least.
