Every Avenger Who is Active on Earth Since The Events Of Endgame
The end of the Infinity Saga made a massive impact on the MCU and the universe is still reeling from its impact. We got to see a lot of changes now and some interesting moves being made by some other characters. Even though we aren’t sure about which character is an official Avenger there are some updates regarding the characters and their present state in the franchise. We have gotten to see some of the characters make interesting appearances in the recent projects have some idea regarding what they will be doing. Let’s take a look at every Avenger who is active on Earth since the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Nick Fury
Nick Fury hasn’t had an active role to play since we saw him take matters into his hands during Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But that doesn’t mean that it will be the end of the character in the franchise as he was present during some of the major events in the franchise. We can be sure that the last time we actually got to see him was during the post-credits scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home where he was in an off-world Kree base. The character will return as the main protagonist in the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion. We will also be seeing his right hand, Maria Hill making a return.
Hawkeye
There have been various times over the years where Hawkeye has wanted to retire from the Avengers. Something or the other always manages to bring him back and this has been a problem associated with his past. We actually got to see him redeem himself for the brutal acts he did during the blip with his run as the Ronin. The character appeared in his solo Disney+ series and this series also paved the way for two new characters in the franchise. Now that he is a mentor to Kate Bishop, we can probably expect him to have a proper retirement with Bishop taking on his mantle.
Wong
Wong played a major role during the events of Endgame. He along with Doctor Strange managed to bring all the characters across the universe to the final battle with Thanos and his army. But the character actually ended up appearing more the Doctor Strange himself. First, we got to see him in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings where he had his own plot with Abomination. At the same time, No Way Home told us that he is now the Sorcerer Supreme instead of Strange. We will see more of him and our fingers are crossed regarding his fate in the upcoming Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.
Spider-Man
Spider-Man is the only character to have had two projects following the events of Avengers: Endgame. While the first one was an okay entry that saw him dealing with Stark’s loss, the second one took things to a whole new level. We saw him experience the full effects of the Multiverse with characters across the multiverse coming to MCU and facing off Spidey. But Spidey wasn’t alone as he ended up teaming up with two other Spideys. The character has had a whole new beginning now as he will be seen working his way with a lot of experience now about the real world.
War Machine
Rhodey last appeared for a cameo in Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Following the death of Iron Man, the character has had an interesting role to play in the Defence of the country and we can expect to see him make an appearance in the franchise quite soon. Based on a leak from the sets of the upcoming Secret Invasion series we can expect him to make a cameo again. This could set up his arc for the upcoming Armor Wars series.
Winter Soldier
Winter Soldier underwent an interesting development in the MCU following Captain America leaving his mantle. The character got a chance to be properly explored in the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Here we got to see some rather interesting development from the character and the trauma that he faces due to his past. There’s no indication about where we will see him next but we can be sure that he is still active and running for missions.
The Hulk
Dr. Bruce Banner made his first appearance following the events of Endgame in the post-credits scene for Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings. It was surprising to see him appear in his human form considering the last time we saw him he appeared as Smart Hulk. But the injury from Endgame was still there as we saw him with the injury in his hand. He will soon be seen in the upcoming She-Hulk series for Disney+ next to his sister Jennifer Walters as guides her through her transformation.
Falcon / Captain America
Falcon has had the biggest promotion following the events of Endgame. The character was working on some undercover missions while at the same time dealing with the leadership following Captain America leaving his mantle. Around the end of the series, we saw that the character became Captain America and the next Captain America movie will feature him in the titular role.
Doctor Strange
Whether Benedict Cumberbatch agrees or not, we can be sure that he is an Avenger. There is a lot that is going on for the character and he will be facing some serious problems the Multiversal chaos. The character just reeled from some of the problems of the chaos in No Way Home but now he will be facing trial for causing the chaos. We will get to see more of him in The Multiverse of Madness.
